Borderlands 3: Guns, Love, Tentacles DLC. Good stuff.
Also re-installed Sid Meier's Pirates on my PC. Happy times. |

Playing the Trials of Mana demo while waiting for FF7. So much better than the Secret of Mana remake from last year. They really stepped their game up with this one. I'm honestly just super hyped to finally get a western release of Seiken Densetsu 3 in general as it was one of the top 5 games on SNES for me, even with the shitty fan translations I had to work with to emulate it 2 decades ago.
Demo is actually extremely large, allowing for the full selection of your 3 person party from the 6 available characters and as such has all their origin stories included. I picked my party and have been playing for hours and just picked up the second character of the 3 Ill have. Im in the 3rd town technically, but currently doing the origin story for the second character as it gives you the option to play through theirs as well as your mains. Best part is that all progress will transition into the full game, so won't have to play through hours of content again in a couple weeks. Highly recommend giving it a shot if you like old school RPGs, particularly ones with an action based combat system. |
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is getting amazing reviews online. Can't wait for Friday
|
Big same. I got lucky and found a store with an extra copy of the deluxe physical edition that they are holding for me for Friday morning. Gonna violate tf out of the Georgia and South Carolina stay at home orders to go get that baby. I give zero shits about it in this case because FF7 is essential.
tbf I will never have to get out of my car because they are doing curbside pick up so I'll be socially distanced the entire time. |
Got death stranding yesterday and ff7 remake today... 2 heavy hittters... gonna play those side by side i guess
Ff7 remake i rlly dont have expectations high for... im like 3 hours in... its cool to see some stuff redone... they added a new "twist" to the story kind of... intrigued |
I read spoilers and if the "rumors" are true, its kinda shit.
|
I "had to" go back and pick up playing Ultimate Alliance 3 again to experience the last bit of DLC with the Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom. I have to say, Mister Fantastic continues to be an underrated star throughout this series. Plus, he's rocking that sweet beard.
|
Well, dropped everything I was in the middle of and am now focused on Doom Eternal. I'm trying to do a mission a day. Hopefully I can finish it faster than I did its predecessor.
|
God of War
I started playing it again and boy is it taxing. There’s just too much to absorb. |
Playing Ori and the Blind Forest. I recently got stuck on on spot that I simply didnt know how to get past. It felt like Ninja Turtles on Nintendo. Finally after about an hour and 60 attempts, I realized that i just needed to drop the heavy glowing rock and climb a totem wall.
I cut myself a few times after this. |
Bought Modern Warfare. First CoD I've played in a long time. it does not disappoint.
That level in the campaign "Clean House" was pretty real looking and intense as fook. |
Fallout 76 has changed in all the right ways too, with the Wastelanders update. Recently re-installed it and having a blast there too
|
I just started playing Days Gone. Really tense atmosphere as soon as you start it and it supposedly only gets more intense the further along you go. It comes off as pretty much an open world The Last of Us so far.

You've not played it? "I'm never touching 76" yet you hold such a strong opinion.
Get off the bucket and try it. It is honestly way more like FO3 or New Vegas. Gatekeeping video games, GTFO |

That's how bad they fucked up this year. But do go ahead and try to convince me that I should play that too. Won't happen. I have standards, believe it or not. |
I was hyped for 76 myself. Then it bombed badly on release. They may have fixed it now but I could care less. The product should have been done right originally instead of making people pay full price to basically be beta testers for a year and a half. I'm not rewarding them with a purchase for that bullshit.
I went through this before with No Mans Sky. Maybe if I had faith left in Bethesda I'd give it a go, but after the way they abandoned me and everyone else who bought Skyrim on PS3, they can fuck right off. |
Quote:
Nah, wouldn't bother with WWE. Just coming from the perspective as a fan of the series. I paid full price at launch, played to about level 20 and said "fuck it". it was hot garbage, burning even. Uninstalled it before the end of the year was up and never looked back. Despite the massive bugs that have hit it, I never experienced any of them. Definitely nothing in it for me if you play it or not dude. Just saying from a fan of the series to another, its definitely where it should have been at launch. |
Started up Assassins Creed for the PS3.
Plays like Batman Arkham Asylum, which is a plus point. |
So, I’m not that up to date with games but working my way through Jedi Fallen Order. It’s a pretty dense game for me. Also, dipping into WWE 2K19 to pass 30 minutes here and there.
A week ago I was playing Goldeneye due to my XBox not working. All the nostalgia. |
Started playing Modern Warfare. Dayum
Surprised me in a very good way at how much better it is from the last CoD I played. |
drave if you ever want to play warzone let me know
|
Glad I've stayed away from 76. Evidently it has events, and in events right now, you can die and have NPC's loot your corpse.
That game has officially been compromised by Russia, I'm certain of it. I have however recently gone back to 4 as there's quite a bit of Nuka-World DLC I haven't done yet. Just finished the side quest "Trip to the Stars" and became an AHS-8 Hubologist via 8 different "alignments". |
Still and yet, never had any of those major bugs hit me.
|
I mean NPCs looting you is more realistic if we're being honest. Why should they sit around when you die and not take your stuff?
|
right? post-apocalyptic shit. actually, people do that shit now.

Took longer than it should have, but I finally got all the single player trophies for Red Dead Redemption 2. Just gotta find and stable the last wild super horse and then I'll go to online.
But, I'm going to take a quick break and jump back into Borderlands 3 and see if this new event is worth my time. Definitely getting Streets of Rage 4 tomorrow. |
Playing Bare Knuckle 3 (Streets of Rage 3) and "noticing" the subtle differences.

Just completed “God of War” (2018)
Easily One of the best games I’ve ever played. What a journey. |
That shit was epic - now go do it on hard.
Played through that on whatever the hardest difficulty was to get some cool shit. Took forever, but i did it. |
Just finished the story for Trials of Mana. On to the post game content they added in that wasn't in the original.
The Trials of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 3 originally, never came to the west) remake is infinitely better than the Secret of Mana remake. They did way better in every single aspect, from the translation to the graphics/sound and especially the gameplay. And they fixed the biggest problem of all from SoM....they actually made it challenging. SoM remake is one of the easiest games I have ever played....this one was easy at first then suddenly it shifted and dodges/timing/pattern recognition became super important. The only thing that isn't tuned well is a spell called ancient curse. Its far too overpowered although it has a ridiculous cast time/mana cost. But if you manage to target it properly and fire it off before getting interrupted it will annihilate every enemy in a regular mob in one move. I actually ignored 2 of my party members and just spammed it with my 3rd and killed the last boss of the campaign in like 45 seconds after it handed my ass to me multiple times in a row trying to fight it straight up. This new content seems like it might be pretty damn hard tho tbh. The first/easiest mobs at the beginning of the new super dungeon can wipe your whole party in seconds if you get complacent. Gonna try and grind it out tomorrow and see how far I can get but I already know its gonna be a blast. This is a great ARPG to scratch that old nostalgia itch. |
Streets of Rage 4.
If you got the extra cash and looking for a video game nostalgia trip, this is it. |
Quote:
Can we get on for a Secret of Evermore remake tho? That game is so god damn fun. |
Still playing FO76.
Started a new character a few weeks ago, hit level 24 last night. I could have started Wastelanders content but wanted to finish up the OG Story first. This game still has its quirks, but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck they've improved it drastically. Never hit any of the major bugs that made gaming headlines, just a few UI glitches that I can count on one hand. |
Streets of Rage 4.
Feels a bit too grindy for unlocking the good stuff and enemies can be a bit cheap at times but I've been having a very enjoyable time with the game so far. |

No way am I going to unlock Shiva, God of Death anytime soon. :'( |
Playing Death Stranding, or as it's better know, FedEx Simulator
|
I bought a Nintendo Switch Lite. Bought Witcher 3, Rayman Legends, Mario Odyesse, Astral Chain and Mega Man 11.
Thanks Donald! |
Quote:
>Switch Lite Why. I mean, if you don't have an xbox or playstation or a gaming pc, I can kinda get it, but Witcher is better suited to the big screen. To answer the question, Im playing Dusk, Divinity Original Sin and Zelda breath of the wild right now. |
I think it looks great.
|
2 out of my 3 Switch games are ones I have owned on several other consoles. Skyrim and L.A. Noire because they're classics that I enjoy being able to take with me on the road. That's not to say that SSB Ultimate isn't a blast too, though.
And at the end of the month (May 29th), I've got the Borderlands Legendary Collection pre-ordered for delivery to my house, and it has all the games in the series, not counting Tales or BL3, plus every bit of add-on content for BL, BL2 and Pre-Sequel. Nobody can argue that's not worth dropping (USD)$60 on. |
|
Streets of Rage 4 goes hard, for sure.
Unlocked another character yesterday, shit was fire. Ended up beating 2 stages without dying. |
I love this Switch Lite. I just wish I could have gotten it in Gray. Only choices was Titty Pink and Teal.
|
Alternating between Streets of Rage 4 and Kingdom Hearts 1.5.
|
Streets of rage 4 on muh switch
|
Ori and the will of the wisps. The ori games might be the best metroidvania games ever made.

I'm also playing Streets of Rage 4 now. I don't think I like it much though tbh. Doesn't seem as fun as I remember beat em ups being. Think the fact that the controls and gameplay still feel like they came from the 90's is throwing me off. They could have made this way more fluid imo. That and so many of the levels are waaaaay too short. As it is, it's a 90's game with a fresh coat of paint.
|
Much more enjoyable with more people. Ran through the game with Fignuts a few days ago and it made for some good times, big combos and insane juggling.
|
Recently finished Detroit: Become Human. I like the overall theme of being open-minded and accepting of everyone. Some of the plot points didn't feel realistic, such as the part at the US/Canada border checkpoint. Pretty good overall though.
|
Do you guys play on the Switch? Friend me. Sandersplex
No homo. |
I've also recently gotten back into ESO and finally hit level 50/"Champion 10". Honestly forgot how addicting it can be.
|
What games are you playing on Switch DAMN iNATOR?

I know I can unlock SoR3 Shiva but I was really hoping for the 4 version. Shiva is the tits. Either way, I heard he's basically the games God mode. I'm just short of unlocking the first SoR3 character so I'm like 2/3rds the way to 3 Shiva in the grand scheme of things.
|
Cherry is ridiculous once you learn how to move around with her.
Floyd is just as crazy. If you hit toward toward attack, he has this big ass double punch that just knocks the fook outta enemies. 3 of those will break the riot cop shield from a distance where they cannot touch you. |
Just started and played Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA for 7 hours today. I'm hooked to that game now. Probably gonna play 7 more hours later. Only on Chapter 2. Love the fighting system. Love the storyline so far. It kind of reminds me of Lost. I bought it off the Eshop for $29.99 but if it continues to be this good, I'll have to open the wallet for the physical copy.
|
I loved Y's VIII. Love that whole series in general.
|
Dipped my toe into the RDR2 online pool.
Didn't do much. Just grabbed my free stuff and did a couple stranger missions. Looks like a lot of fun. Probably safer than GTA 5 since that's literally a war zone right now with the Green vs. Purple gang war going on. |
Games Pass must have read my mind and realized I was itching for some RPG because they put up FF9 remaster for me. Good timing too because I just finished with all the unlocks on SoR4 and will now just be achievement hunting as a goal.
|

I'm no big on turn-base RPG's, but I really wanna buy Fire Emblem 3 Houses. I think thats turn base, but it looks fantastic. |

Also Y's VIII had me hooked on everything in the game. I ended up doing literally everything in that game and still wanted more. Went back and played a couple of the entries that I had originally missed afterwards. Such a fun series. Doesn't get enough love.
|
I'm almost tempted to import Ys IX right now damnit >_<

I also fuck around quite a bit with the various NES and SNES collection games. |

Yeah I remember in OG ESO when I first completed all quests as a member of one faction and then suddenly it resets all the quests and made me a member of one of the other factions. Its just a completionist thing tbh so you can literally do everything as one character if you don't like rerolling.
Fucking Bethesda/Zenimax screwed me though. I had mad time in that game and intended to stick with it and then literally like 18 months after I had bought my key and been playing the game they banned my key and said it was illegitimate and had been stolen before I bought it. Like wtffff 18 months later and now you decide the key I paid for from a third party is bogus? I would have understood if it was in a few weeks or something but naw, not that much time later. FUCKA YOOOOOOOU. And that's why I never played any of the expansion and never will. Luckily the reseller I used (g2a) actually refunded me, even after all that time. |
So I've been playing a lot of metroidvania games again lately. Finished Ori 2 100% and then blazed through a little indie game called Timespinner 100% as well. Had no idea what game to try next in the genre as I've played a shitload of them and all the good ones....or so I thought. Because I discovered Hollow Knight and I have no idea how tf I missed this glorious gift from the Gods of gaming. This one is easily up there with the Ori games and Super Metroid for best in the genre consideration.
It also has some ridiculously difficult content which is excellent since Ive been honing my skills in these games lately. I'm stuck on an optional boss right now that I am severely underprepared for but I don't give a damn because I will flop my corpse at it 1000 times if I have to in order to memorize all its moves/tells to the point that it cant even hit me if I have to. |

Have played Axiom Verge and Shovel Knight before. Shovel Knight is more like a megaman game imo though. Axiom Verge was pretty good though. Felt very much like it could have been a game in the Metroid series.

Switch games i have
Mario Odeyesse Mario Maker 2 Mega Man 11 Rayman Legends Mortal Kombat 11 Sine More EX Gunvolt Witcher 3 Darksiders Warmaster Edition Ys 8 ( digital ) Hollow Knight ( digital ) Axiom Verge Gunbird 2 ( digital ) Psyvariar Delta Valfaris/ Slain Double pack ( digital ) Vasara collection ( digital ) Astral Chain |

Oh and I did also recently complete the Mages Guild storyline starring Sheogorath. Why name the trophy for finishing it "Arch-Mage" if you don't actually (SPOILER) become Arch-Mage? |
Cancelled my PS+ a while back and was working through the more interesting titles before it expires in January. Got to Darksiders 2, played like 15 minutes and havent been back on my ps4 in months. Not entirely because Darksiders 2 is so bad, but it's more dramatic if I squarely place the blame on it.
Since then I've been ADDICTED to Animal Crossing and I'm not even asking for help, I dont want it. I'm at a point where I can get my shit in within a few hours daily though so might start on Fire Emblem or maybe give another game that isnt Darksiders 2 a shot. |
I picked up Fire Emblem 3 houses. No clue if i'll like it or not. Gonna start after Ys 8.
|
I put 250 hours into 3 houses. Skip the dlc tho. Not worth.
|
Hey, Destor is alive. Cool.
|
Wad i rumoured dead?
Yes living. Busy af tho |
Yes I started a rumor that you fell victim to the COVID after attending a rona party at Mitch McConnells house.
|
So I finished the main ending of Hollow Knight. Done a bit of the extra content and can currently fight the "new" final boss but am sidetracked by the Grimm Troupe contents final boss. Let me say this: As of this moment, out of the probably thousand games Ive played, Nightmare King Grimm is easily the hardest boss I've ever fought in any game ever. I've seen videos of people beating him without getting hit but I'm convinced they were on crack and cheating at the same time. This guy is nucking futs and often will wipe me in the first 10 seconds of battle and I am fully upgraded with every ability found. Madness. MADNESS I SAY.
Decided to take a break before I broke my controller or PC. Noticed a decent sale on PSN and got Jotun: Valhalla Edition and Sundered: Eldritch Edition for a total of 7 dollars and change. Beat Jotun in a day but it was a decent experience. Very pretty game with some challenging bosses. Well worth the 3 bucks I spent on it. Started up Sundered now and it's another metroidvania, but with roguelike spin. When you die you return to the starting point, but you have any found abilities and can spend currency to permanently increase your stats and get added buffs. Any doors you unlocked before stay unlocked too which is useful for shortcuts. Game seems rather easy when you first start it but quickly becomes madness as you are swarmed by regenerating hordes of enemies and bullet/laser hell coming from every direction. Seems really fun and challenging so I'm going to grind it out before trying to kill that bastard Grimm again. |
Quote:
Feels like more of the same though. Guy is less popular now than 6 years ago so maybe same strat will win the day this time. He won over 70% 6 years ago and thats even with being reviled in the population centers. That said i would totally attend a rona party. |
RDR2 Online.
I like it. I can be myself and do things at my own pace. The professions update opens things up more. Grind sucks. |
Warhammer 40k Inquisitor. It was free with Gold this month. It plays like Diablo, but with each "mission" being somewhat like a 5 man dungeon in WoW. Fun as hell. Flame thrower and chainsaw swords :D
