Love how they're building up Kofi for his eventual bout against Brock Lesnar in Tokyo.

As noted, Randy Orton was absent from Monday's episode of RAW and this past weekend WWE Live Events because he asked for some time off. Orton is not expected back until the July 6th episode of RAW, but when he does return he is expected to resume his feud with Sheamus.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the two would most likely face each other at the July 19th WWE Battleground event at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Quote:

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting Global Force Wrestling’s live event ‘debut’ in Jackson, Tennessee drew 375 fans, and the second show in Knoxville, Tennessee drew 500 fans.

The second show did well in merchandise sales but is slightly disappointing considering the local publicity, headed by former University of Tennessee basketball coach Donnie Tyndall, who acted as a heel manager for the night. Another somewhat minor reason being offered is that former manager and promoter Bert Prentice had run a “Jerry Lawler 40th Anniversary” show in Jackson, and that may have taken some fans away from GFW. The Lawler show drew 1,100 fans the previous weekend, and had bigger names on their card like Lawler, The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express, Bill Dundee, Tommy Dreamer, TNA star James Storm and Sabu.

It’s being said that although Jarrett was successful in setting the tour, it doesn’t look good for the future. The combination of the shows not drawing well, talent coming in to work for lower money and general unhappiness were some of the reasons cited. The report stated talent were disappointed in paying for their travel costs, and then had to fill out W-9 forms to receive checks at a later date. Talents were told they would get paid for wrestling and could keep their merch sales money.

On today's MLW Radio premium episode, the RUMOR that Court Bauer has heard going around is that Jeff Jarrett is buying a controlling interest in TNA, with Panda Energy possibly becoming minority shareholders (a role reversal). The story is that Jarrett met with Destination America last week and they told him that if he took over TNA and rebranded it as Global Force Wrestling, they'll keep it on the air and not cancel it in September. They don't like doing business with Dixie Carter. There is also speculation that Toby Keith is involved since Jarrett name dropped him in his promo.

It is not confirmed if this is a one week thing or if it will become a regular thing for the remainder of the Tough Enough season, but historically USA has never wanted to air repeats of Raw in good time slots for fear of diluting the initial show rating.

Matt Osborne — better known as pro-wrestling star Doink the Clown in the mid-1990s — died June 28, 2013, at the age of 57 in his Plano home. The Collin County Medical Examiner ruled that an overdose of painkillers was to blame.

In a lawsuit filed in Dallas federal court Friday, his family points to another culprit: pro wrestling. Specifically, Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., the sole defendant named in the lawsuit filed by Michelle James on behalf of Doink the Clown‘s children, Matthew and Teagan Osborne.

The suit, echoing those filed in recent years by pro football players suffering from brain injuries caused by years’ worth of concussions, alleges that wrestling led to “traumatic brain injuries” that resulted in “depression and drug abuse, which ultimately resulted in his untimely death.” The lawsuit says Osborne wasn’t the only wrestler victimized by wrestling’s scripted violence, where phony beatings led to real injuries. It lists more than a dozen others, among them members of the Von Erich family ...

The suit, filed by “doctor-lawyer” Shezad Malik, who reps personal injury suits out of his Greenville Avenue and Southlake offices, doesn’t specify how much the family wants. Messages have been left for Malik. Other out-of-town attorneys are also listed in the lawsuit below.
WWE responded by implying these lawsuits against them are nothing more than a witch hunt by lawsuit happy lawyers looking for easy NFL-like payouts. http://thescoopblog.dallasnews.com/2...overdose.html/

I love how they're faked peg... made to imply the whole section is chock full of unsold Zigglers in spite of the couple of visible Jerichos and other different packaging the photographer wasn't careful enough to stage over. Those are likely the only ones in that section, and all from a fresh shipment from a big box retailer.

It's nothing like that Transformers Bumblebee pic.

So, is he suddenly "an unmotivated sack of shit" like Chris Hero, or will people make excuses for him because it's fun to love Bo for some reason?

I wonder if this is actually the deal Jarrett was working on and not for just appearing for TNA. At this point in time for GFW the TV spot would actually be worth more to him then getting control of TNA

Brian Fritz of Sporting News reported on Twitter that James Storm is leaving TNA. Storm reportedly asked for his release and he will be gone Sunday's Slammiversary pay-per-view. We noted before that Magnus is also scheduled to leave TNA after tomorrow's event.
Aires also rumored to be leaving after this Sunday as well.

According to PWI, all three are likely going to be on a special "need only" case for future TNA tapings assuming TNA has actually work available later in the year. Those guys get to work elsewhere for a steady job while now treating TNA itself like an indie booking for the future.

Non-wrestlers wise, supposedly TNA gave an ultimatum to their production staff to basically stop complaining about the late checks or else they can just leave the company.

Dixie: Got bills to pay? I don't care, Because I'm rich spoiled little bitch with no clue.

Lock Jaw 06-27-2015 07:00 PM

Yeah... hope those production guys find better jobs soon....

Emperor Smeat 06-27-2015 07:05 PM

Supposedly TNA won't be able to pay off the May tapings till mid-July so going by that date, probably won't be until mid-September that those same people gets paid for the big set of June tapings. Maybe even longer since June has a lot more tapings done.

#1-norm-fan 06-27-2015 09:34 PM

I'm one of the few actually rooting against all odds for TNA... but if that story is true, I kinda want them all to say "fuck you" and walk out just before the next show.
