The club have officially announced the sad news that Keith Weller passed away on Friday night after a long battle with cancer. Although the news was not unexpected it will still be a shock for anyone who can remember what a fantastic player Keith was for City in the seventies.

Alan Birchenall, Keith's longstanding team mate on Jimmy Bloomfield's 70s line-up described him as: "..one of the five greatest ever players ever to pull on a Leicester shirt."
Few who saw Keith play will argue with that.

We would like to pass on our condolences to Keith's family and friends and invite you to leave a tribute on our messageboard which will be forwarded on to the club.

Rest in Peace Keith.

R.I.P Keith. :wavesad:

He scored the winner Vs Man City that put us into the European cup final of 71, only played for us for a season but was joint top scorer that season.

R.I.P

Robben again was the man, except I wouldn't mind seeing one of the incidents again, as it looked like he was fouled but went down like it was a dive.

Mourinho again prove he is the man when he said this after our match:

``Five-four is a hockey score, not a football score,'' he said. ``I did not see the game, but I can tell you now that the defenders were a disgrace.

``In training I often play matches of three against three, and when the score reaches 5-4 I send the players back to the dressing rooms because they are not defending properly.

``So to get a result like that in a game of 11 against 11 is disgraceful.''

Cactus Sid 11-14-2004 08:25 PM

Torquay lost 2-0 to Hinckley.....WTF

Danny Electric 11-14-2004 08:39 PM

Chelsea are gonna win the leauge cause of the defence got to say it's been immense. I mean you've conceded like 4 goals all season and Arsenal do that in one match

Dazz 11-14-2004 10:39 PM

I have always said its United's or ours, and I stick by it.

Ogen 11-15-2004 12:37 AM

Nah it'll be Chelsea, Arsenal

toxic rooster 11-15-2004 12:43 AM

Got to admit that Mourinho is the man for comments like that.

He does, the position in the league shows that. They should get Megson, boring tactics but he'll do a good job.

Super Paul Merson :'(

I doubt Megson would go there to be honest, they're in danger of dropping down to league 2.

I hope they do, it'll stop our idiot board hiring him

I don't see them dropping down a divison, they have soem alright players like Jorge Leitao.
I heard about Megson today that he has a stipulation in his contract with the Baggies that he has to apply for all going manager jobs in the top 2 divisons or something.

Wengerland 11-15-2004 07:48 PM

I can't see Megson coming to Walsall, but i doubt they'll go down.

I wouldn't be opposed to someone like Danny Wilson taking over as none of the main unemployed bosses would go for it, i don't think.

ct2k 11-16-2004 08:14 PM

so...

I was at the Real/Albacete game on sunday...

OH MY GOD Ronaldo and Zidane were worth ticket prices alone

Ogen 11-16-2004 10:13 PM

Always wanted to head over to Spain for a game wanna see Barca just to gawk at Ronaldinho. Ain't been to any games this year prolly going to head over to Villa Arsenal

Dazz 11-16-2004 10:54 PM

if chelsea draw a big club in the next round of the champions league, me and my mate will be there, i would love us to draw barca or madrid, p.s the odds of someone other then barca or madrid winning la liga is 33/1.

Ogen 11-16-2004 11:51 PM

May aswell be 500/1 Barca are gonna win it barring a fuck up in which case it'll be Real.

Dazz 11-16-2004 11:53 PM

I dunno Ogen, I mean theres a long way left, you cannot say that shit yet.

Dazz 11-16-2004 11:54 PM

oh and get on MSN

Ogen 11-17-2004 12:22 AM

True I don't even properly follow La Liga its just Ronaldinho is so good.

Dazz 11-17-2004 12:35 AM

One player means fuckk all, you should know that. Madrid are doing well as of late and I can still see them winning the league. However, I wouldnt bet on it.

Ogen 11-17-2004 12:43 AM

The Glazer thing is hilarious. He seems like such a arrogant cunt allthough I've yet to have it explained properlyto me why hes so bad

Dazz 11-17-2004 12:50 AM

This is a repeat of the JP Magnus thing really.

The Mask 11-17-2004 12:54 AM

he's bad, cause in order to take over the club he'd be going into debt, and thus taking money out of the club to pay off the debt and loans. for a start.

Dazz 11-17-2004 01:30 AM

Go cry about it, Abramovich is bad but no one stopped him, we never had the chance.

The Mask 11-17-2004 01:33 AM

abramovich was in no danger of going into debt just to buy you though

Dazz 11-17-2004 01:38 AM

no, but he is in danger of giving us a massive wage bill and leaving.

yianni 11-17-2004 03:51 AM

Shit defending by Australia (Schwarzer mainly) cost us a win in the 2-2 friendly draw against Norway in London today. It seems the 4-3-3 formation is working well for the lads though. On a side note Tim Cahill is the fucking man.

Greece MUST win their UEFA Qualifier tonight against Kazahkstan at home, otherwise we are royally fucked.

Ogen 11-17-2004 10:35 AM

Eh what? Why was it in London?

I don't know but it was classified as a home match for Australia too.
How do you work that out. :shifty:

Ogen 11-17-2004 12:25 PM

Couldn't be much further away

jerichoholic169 11-17-2004 05:15 PM

wow an england keeper saved a penalty when it wasnt kicked straight down the middle.

spain are ripping england apart here - joaquin looks really good. it was never a penalty - i think the ref is to the spanish what mike riley is to united.

Cactus Sid 11-17-2004 05:29 PM

If I needed any other reason to hate Rooney, he just threw down his black armband in disgust, has he got any respect? What a cunt.

jerichoholic169 11-17-2004 06:15 PM

the spanish fans are being aboslutely disgusting. i cant believe that there's still a racism problem still in football.

Ogen 11-17-2004 06:18 PM

I never liked Rooney before tonight. But I've now realised how great he is. THrows a fit then goes and sits on the bench drinking beers. Unless my eyes deceive me.
