To Miotch:
Personally I have LOVED reading Ed Brubakers 1-25 of Captain America and can direct you to torrent or can help you get digital copies....OR you can by the run in hardback form on Amazon. If you don't like Captain America I can give other suggestions. here is the amazon link to the ed brubaker captain america book: http://www.amazon.com/Captain-Americ...aptain+america (I just started the Daredevil 2011 run and is up to the 18th issue coming out this week...so far so good but I am too new to it to call it an official recommendation) |

Also, X-23 pretty much has to win this. |
I don't think it does.
I'm sure X-23 will be the main character, and one of the top competitors, but she's not quite wolverine. Hell, Hazmat could probably slow her down quite a bit, if not outright killing her. |
Go Darkhawk.
I don't even know who most of those characters are. Recognize darkhawk, x-23, and hazmat.
Also, I thought darkhawk was an adult. And a cosmic assassin, or at least rebelled against his fellow cosmic assassins. |
Actually X23 may be deadlier than Wolverine. Not just saying that as a fan.
In some ways she is, but I think overall, Wolvie's experience gives him the edge.
Yeah.
No one's beating Darkhawk, guys.
Nico and Chase are also in there from The Runaways.
Also it seems like they're doing this to kill off quite a few characters.
I don't really know anything about it.... but... is it confirmed that they are going to be killing each other? I mean, you can have a series have a cover that is an "homage" to Battle Royale without meaning that the series is actually about them killing each other.
Everything I've read is that Arcade (I believe) brings them all to an island where they must fight or die, last man standing sort of deal.
Yeah, but I doubt the body count will be as high as BR. 3 or 4 characters that no one will give a shit about, will die, and the rest will figure out a way off the island.

Yeah, still not feeling the gold-centric suit. Love the actual design, but the red and gold need to be swapped.
Way too much gold. Makes him look naked.
I'm sure it will look better in motion and when not a drawing.
Maybe. |
I would like to see the colors swapped as well, but i thought Caps suit looked ridic in pics and it turned it decent in motion.
Wait that's from the movie?
well, the marvel NOW suit looks just like that so all their doing is sticking with what will be current comic design
No it doesn't.
not quite as much gold but its not that far off
I can't wait til they turn into motorcycles and let Sam Witwikki drive them around.
We are talking about the amount of gold in the suit, not the actual design.
I'm fine with the design. Looks cool. The gold is very jarring though. |
TOTAL MISUNDERSTANDING
DON'T REAR NAKED CHOKE ME |
yea i kinda wish they reversed it like the marvel now design but whatevs
And finally the Bleeding Edge Armor. Might be my favorite.

Extremis all the way.
The Modular armor was always my favorite.
ew
Extremis is a close second, but I like the placement of the gold in the BE armor. It's different without being too drastic like the new movie armor.
Don't you ew me Fignuts.
Dear god, those abs. :'(
Roll on a trailer or something. :y: |
Nice. I fuckin love this guy.
It appears that Hugh Jackman ages about as much as the character he plays.
Just read Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe. Fun.

A quick throwaway 4 issue series but I loved the artwork and it was totally original. Good choice. |
It was good, but way too short.
I would rather he killed people off one by one than pages of dead characters.....felt kind of cheated at times. So ya I agree....but it was still a fun mag.

Looks like the "League of the Ten Rings" thing from the first movie will probably play a big part. |
Big part? The fucking Mandarin is in the movie.
Quote:
Very unlikely they'd have him and not bring out the Ten Rings, especially after hinting at it for two movies (less so in IM2).
More like NONE in IM2.
The guy who gave Whiplash his papers to get to that race was a Ten Rings agent.
I must have missed that. Have only watched Iron Man 2 a total of two times. Have watched every other MCU movie upwards of that.
It's a Word of God thing anyway.
Oh. So one of those things that didn't actually happen, then. Gotcha.
More like NONE in IM2. |
The term WoG is important for a reason.
Except that it isn't important at all. Except that we have argued about this before, I think... so I do not really wish to go into it again.
Very well.
Get a room.
lol did everyone see that?
I told them to "Get a room." |
Oh, and still not liking how The Boys is shaping up to end.
So fucking dumb. |

good God that was depressing
Damn, I really wish that would have gotten left in.
Yeah I feel for the guy.
...But he should have gotten her number. And this makes her shots in the final battle more fitting, including what she said in that interview afterward. |
Cap definitely deserved a bit more thorough intro than he got in the final cut, considering he is kind of the field leader. Or at least he is once they stop pummeling each other in the face.
This would have been perfect. |
Yeah great scene, shoulda been in there.
Just the shot of his reflection in the computer screen after turning off the propaganda film...genius. |

That one I'm okay with being cut.
I enjoyed the Maria Hill Framing devices that got cut out
Pretty lacklustre set of extras on the Avengers Blu Ray, tbf.

Not sure if it's aready been mentioned but some of the main characters for SHIELD have been named. Not sure how credible a source this is though.
http://tvline.com/2012/10/01/joss-wh...e-l-d-casting/ SKYE | This late-20s woman sounds like a dream: fun, smart, caring and confident – with an ability to get the upper hand by using her wit and charm. AGENT GRANT WARD | Quite the physical specimen and “cool under fire,” he sometimes botches interpersonal relations. He’s a quiet one with a bit of a temper, but he’s the kind of guy that grows on you. AGENT ALTHEA RICE | Also known as “The Calvary,” this hard-core soldier has crazy skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged. AGENT LEO FITZ and AGENT JEMMA SIMMONS | These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry. Are they established Marvel characters or original characters? |
Never heard of any them.
Not necessarily their final names though, looks like they could be from casting ads and I've seen a lot of those in the past which just use any old name. |
Quote:
Yes visually, but that is actually War Machine in some fresh propaganda paint. Great to see them use the whole suits rather than the football mocap stuff.
IM3 is filming in Miami, I think in South Beach. I should get out there and... do something.

Complete with lines from their fight.

Avengers vs X-men 12 comes out tomorrow.
Was kinda "meh" on the first couple issues, but they quickly turned it around, and now I can't wait to read the conclusion. This has been the best major crossover since civil war. Maybe better. |
Great ending. Gonna buy the trade when it hits.

I have seen the same info reported elsewhere (spelling mistake included), so I am guessing it is legit.

Remember Whedon likes to use placeholder names and characters for his projects.
Then again, the media has been largely on point with Marvel happenings.
Started a proper Iron Man 3 thread where all news and media will be posted. Official trailer was announced to launch Oct 23.

If you look at the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon as a superhero JD from scrubs, you begin to hate it less.

Oh Deadpool...always on top of culture.

Superior Spider-Man with Dan Slott looks cool and it'll stick with it. I'm glad I still will only buy 3 monthly Marvel books and not a crap ton of NOW books.
Dan Slott has been incredibly good on Spider-Man, but after reading up on what they're going to do with it, I have no interest whatsoever in a "dark and gritty" Spider-Man. I read Spidey because he's a fun, wise-cracking smartass who's able to grin and bear it even through the worst of times, not because he's fucking Batman with web-shooters.
Also, ten bucks says the whole thing that turns him into a dark and violent anti-hero is that somebody kills Mary Jane. That's pretty much the only thing they haven't done to him yet. |
Read AvX 12. Cute.
I like that Cyclops isn't just absolved, and in fact, he almost seems remorseless.
Yeah he's going down a dark path. Logan seems to pissed to talk to him.
I would like to see Scott Summers die a brutal death, but I felt that way long before he killed Xavier.
