Feasibly it could even be for the title with Bryan winning the Rumble and Sheamus becoming the new corporate champion at Elimination Chamber or something. Dunno if it'd actually work out that way, though.</font>

I want it to happen. I think this entire message board wants it to happen. But will it happen?

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-24-2014 11:20 PM

Maybe he'll steal an entry from Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a beard-off.

I thought of an unlikely but quite potentially awesome dream match:

Prime Steiner Brothers vs. Prime World's Greatest Tag Team

The word going around TNA is that Vince Russo is once again working for the company. According to several sources, TNA reached out to several creative people over the past month or so and Russo was one of those people.

Although it’s not confirmed that Russo is back, a number of people within the company believe 100% that Russo is back and working with creative. Russo’s email was copied over in some recent emails between members of TNA’s creative team.

The official response from a company spokesperson is that Russo is not back working with the company. They may be trying to keep things quiet as of now
AWWW SHIT! WATCH YOUR BACK, WWE!

TNA: We Never Learn.

Mr. Nerfect 01-25-2014 04:12 AM

I can't wait to hear Sheamus pronounce "Authority" in his accent. I'd actually like Sheamus to be a corporate heel who makes Randy Orton a little nervous.

For weeks I've wanted to see CM Punk take the Royal Rumble, but now I'm once again thinking that the obvious booking is Daniel Bryan winning the match. I see Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacking Bryan in his match against Bray Wyatt, causing the disqualification. A beat-down ensues and Bryan is laid out with Sister Abigail. Bryan then comes out all battered for the Royal Rumble Match and wins the whole thing.

Fignuts 01-25-2014 04:12 AM

Is TNA at this point, dumber than WCW in it's dying days? Like, WCW's booking was nonsense, but at least they had the common sense to push guys that were over, like Goldberg and DDP, and keep them over.

Was watching the Samoa Joe stuff when Angle first came in and hoooooooooly shit was Joe hot. How did they fuck up so badly with him. Dude should be their top non-WWE/WCW talent. Instead we have fucking Magnus. Dreadful.

I think Jim Cornette said it best. "TNA couldn't book Lassie in a pet shop."

Mr. Nerfect 01-25-2014 05:27 AM

Magnus is getting better all the time, but he doesn't seem like the guy you want carrying the company just yet. I'd have liked to have seen him as Television Champion, if TNA hadn't run that title right into the ground. A mentor vs. student feud between Doug Williams and Magnus would have been ripe bananas.

The scheduling of the UK tour for TNA was pretty bad for this, but I honestly think that Jeff Hardy should have been the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Some might think this bone-headed, but if Hardy beat Magnus and then couldn't go on the tour, you could have had Magnus serve as the star of the tour and bad-mouth Hardy every chance he got to actually build to a match between the two.

Samoa Joe has been pretty badly handled by TNA since Vince Russo took over creative until now. My heart randomly decided that it wanted Christopher Daniels to be the guy who got the Option C shot at Destination X this year (which is apparently happening in April), but smark booking would be to give it to Joe and use Daniels & Kazarian as serious Tag Team Champions. I don't hate The BroMans as much as everyone else in the world, but they just aren't Tag Champ material at this point. Let Daniels & Kazarian feud with The Wolves heading into Destination X. If I were TNA, I would be trying to throw a lot of money at Kharma to get her to return as Awesome Kong for a Knockout Title match with Gail Kim at that PPV too.

#1-norm-fan 01-25-2014 05:27 AM

I wanna see Bray Wyatt win the Rumble and go on to face Cena at WrestleMania for the title. The promos leading up to the match would be fucking outstanding.

#1-norm-fan 01-25-2014 05:28 AM

Actually, I wanna see Fandango win the Rumble but if we're going more realistic, Bray Wyatt.

Mr. Nerfect 01-25-2014 05:31 AM

I'm digging Wyatt as a promo, but I'm not really on board with him headlining WrestleMania just yet. But if he did secure the 2014 Royal Rumble (a star-making match for sure), I'd have him defeat Daniel Bryan earlier in the night in a No Disqualification Match when The Family help him out with a brutal assault taking out Bryan.

I'd also want Wyatt to win the World Title at WrestleMania and get a pretty decent heel run that is eventually ended by Bryan.

Mr. Nerfect 01-25-2014 05:32 AM

Cena vs. Wyatt vs. Bryan would not be the worst World Title match the company could put on.

#1-norm-fan 01-25-2014 05:38 AM

I'd like to see Daniel Bryan as relevant yet as far away from the title as possible.

Mr. Nerfect 01-25-2014 05:48 AM

I'd like to see Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels if HBK would be willing to work WrestleMania. Hell, Shawn Michaels will be at the Royal Rumble PPV anyway. Wyatt vs. Bryan could have the added stipulation that the winner gets #30 in the Rumble. HBK then kicks Bryan in the face while the referee is down and Wyatt wins the match and earns the coveted spot.

If they decide to go with Bryan vs. Undertaker, then I'd like to see Bryan end the streak. Fuck what everyone else says about it -- I'm not trying to provoke discussion about whether or not it should end -- I would just only want to see Bryan vs. Taker if it were going to be something that truly elevated Bryan. Even if Taker beats Bryan and then says he's an A+ player, it still feels like a bit of a lateral move for Bryan.

Other than that, I could go with Bryan kicking the crap out of Bray Wyatt and getting closure for that storyline. But I don't see why you don't end that prior to WrestleMania with so many months left. Bryan vs. Triple H is a possibility, because while Punk seems like he's heading towards The Game at WrestleMania, they could have Orton vs. Punk and Bryan vs. Triple H. The other option is probably Sheamus or Kane, representing The Authority, doing battle with a man they both have history with.

But next to beating Shawn Michaels or ending the streak, I do think Bryan winning the Royal Rumble and challenging for the World Title at Mania would be the best thing possible. A match I haven't even seen discussed for WrestleMania that I think could be pretty amazing is Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan for the World Title. You just put the title on Lesnar at Elimination Chamber and have Bryan win the Rumble.

If TNA played hard ball with AJ and low balled his worth to the company, Daniels will be lucky to even see six figures from them. It sucks, especially since Sabin has been TNA Champ and Daniels hasn't, but I don't see Daniels making it through the year on the roster.

Or Hornswaggle vs. Big Show in a Ladder match for the World Title.

Mistico is gone from the WWE and says he owns the mask and the name Sin Cara. He's going to lawyer up to try to screw Hunico out of a push the only guy who made him interesting at all.

<font color=goldenrod>PWInsider had reported Bryan/Sheamus yesterday and is now saying the top 5 Mania matches are "basically set in stone" as being:

Batista vs. Orton for the title
Taker vs. Lesnar
Cena vs. Wyatt
HHH vs. Punk
Bryan vs. Sheamus

As per usual with the dirt sheets, I call bullshit. WWE don't seem to believe in long-term planning for the most part so I can't imagine they actually have their top 5 matches already laid out. If that did wind up being the top matches on the card though, jeez. Good thing WWE Network basically gives you all the PPVs for a $10 subscription because $10 seems to be about what that card is worth. "Different strokes for different folks" and all that but for me there just really isn't much there that interests me on that proposed card, especially not for what is meant to be the biggest PPV of all time.

Very difficult to imagine me caring about Orton/Batista. I haven't given the least bit of a shit about Orton in months and Heeltista is the only Batista I like. I love Taker and Lesnar and a WM match between them has been rumored for quite some time but I don't know if Taker can really work the kind of violent, physical match that made Lesnar/Cena and Lesnar/Punk so great at this point.

Wyatt facing Cena makes sense as Wyatt is trying to take down "the machine" and I don't doubt the promos would be phenomenal, but the match itself would seem to be pretty meh, I love the guy I'm just not sure Wyatt is ready for such a big stage. Plus you can see Cena miraculously overcoming the odds and taking down the entire Family on his own coming from a mile away.

I just don't have any desire to see Triple H wrestling in 2014, but his match with Punk is virtually the one "lock" on the card based on the build already so whatever. And Bryan/Sheamus, as mentioned yesterday, makes sense if Sheamus goes corporate and brings up their past WM history but still it feels like WWE's most over commodity should be in a match higher than 5th in importance on the card.

Oh and I also read they are trying to get Warrior to do a match with Ryback. Laughed my ass off at that thought.

We'll see. Still plenty of time for things to fall into place.</font>

Lock Jaw 01-25-2014 02:09 PM

Batista/Orton would be a very underwhelming main event for the "30th anniversary" of Wrestlemania.

I'd have Punk win the Rumble, Cena beats Orton for the title. Cena/Punk are both hated by The Authority and so they try to take them both out. Punk has his match with HHH at Elimination Cahmber, while Cena has to deal with Orton again for a final time. They both overcome and meet each other at Mania. Daniel Bryan can be tangentially involved with helping both guys out.

Daniel Bryan then can be the one to face Randy Orton at Mania to finally get his "revenge" after everything Randy put him through. Make him tap out.

Lock Jaw 01-25-2014 02:30 PM

Oh, and I guess Batista.... faces Brock Lesnar or something. Battle of the guys who came back to say they want the title.

Dirtsheets stuff (All from F4W):

Quote:

WWE is formulating tons of plans for Raw the night the Network launches. They'll push the hell out of the launch all night and it's going to be one of those supershows with all sorts of people being brought back. If Hogan doesn't debut at the Rumble this Sunday (and there are people in the company who think he will), he'll almost certainly debut on Network launch night. There's also been talk of bringing in HBK (pretty much a given, and if they decide to go with HBK vs. Bryan at WrestleMania that would be a great night to shoot the angle), as well as perhaps Kevin Nash and X-Pac.
Quote:

For whatever it's worth, the belief within WWE is that Kurt Angle will return to WWE when his TNA deal is up, but it's very unlikely he'll ever be able to pass the company physical. The word is that he'll likely end up as a trainer for NXT.
Quote:

Regarding Mania, as of Friday the Undertaker match is set in stone. There will be no Money in the Bank match at Mania this year for people wondering if they were going to axe the "PPV" and move that match to Mania again. Total Divas will be filming during Mania for whatever that's worth (would make a good circular storyline if they almost got axed from the show but then made it on at the last minute). The Network will be broadcasting tons of live feeds throughout the week leading up to the show. There will be a WrestleMania 2015 commercial airing during the show. The company is looking for corporate sponsors who will buy TV time for the show like is done for the Super Bowl.
Quote:

Someone in WWE asked us to print this regarding indy talent: "While WWE does look at indy guys in L.A., they must also remember that the non-wrestling athletes and models from the agencies in L.A. almost have a better chance at getting an NXT offer. This is actually beyond a proven fact as the most recent hires are Eva and JoJo, and the whole divas camp in L.A. last January was models with no wrestling experience. So if you train and are a worker in L.A., it's highly suggested that you work other states (Texas, Florida, all up and down the East coast) to help build your resume and get noticed as opposed to getting lost in the mix of models."

Savio 01-25-2014 05:50 PM

I really do not want to see Taker/Brock

mike adamle 01-25-2014 06:12 PM

I don't see why no one wants to see Taker/Brock. Are there other matches taker could be used in and maybe better ones? Of course. So why not do them later on and get this dream match out of the way? Taker has proven year and year again for like the last 5 years that he can go, especially if it's only once a year. And since Lesnar has been back he's been awesome to watch, can't wait to see what they do together at the biggest show of the year.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2014 06:19 PM

Fuck yeah I wanna see Taker vs Lesnar.

#1-norm-fan 01-25-2014 07:15 PM

Taker vs Cena would be a shitload more interesting than Taker vs Lesnar but if they're holding off on that, I guess Taker vs Lesnar works.

I wouldn't mind this card too much if you just switch the title match from Batista-Orton to Cena-Wyatt.

Heel Orton as champ hasn't done it for me and I have no interest in seeing Batista take the title off of him. They can build a good story between them without the title. Cena vs Wyatt for the title is way more intriguing.

Blonde Moment 01-25-2014 07:55 PM

Batista vs. Orton for the title
Cena vs. Wyatt
HHH vs. Punk

Only matches I am even the slightest bit interesting so its a good thing I will only end up paying 10/month to see it. I am sorry, but unless Lesnar has learned how to wrestle, the Taker match is going tp be nothing but a garbage match because Lesnar copuldn't carry a tune let alone a match. Bryan vs. Sheamus looks to be nothing more then another lets job out Bryan to put over Sheamus as a heel and kill any momentum Bryan has left by that point. Odds are that unless someone gets injured he'll be putting over the big guys by late summer.

Rather see Show/Taker over Lesnar if I had to have that and nothing else.
