Jays game at 4 today. Might skip outta work early, 'cause I could probably get away with it (due to coworkers all being giant bandwagoners)

I have to miss the entire game due to having to stay late at work training new employees

He actually apologized for it. Emotions were running high, so get over it.

Evil Vito 10-14-2015 10:45 PM

lol what the fuck was AJ Hinch thinking? down 2 in the 8th and instead of bringing in an established reliever he decides to bring in Keuchel, on 2 days rest after throwing 124 pitches in his last game.

he promptly gives up a 3-run bomb to Morales to eliminate any chance of an exciting 9th inning.

I mean yeah a 2 run lead was probably safe with Wade Davis anyway, but still. really dumb decision.

You would have loved it if it was Machado.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-14-2015 11:17 PM

Also, Robbie Alomar styled pretty fucking hard on Dennis Eckersley in 1992. If you do it in a big moment, you earn your chance to style on a fool.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-14-2015 11:23 PM

Oh man imagine if it was Darren O'Day he hit the home run off of.

Damian Rey 10-14-2015 11:30 PM

Don't mind Droford. He's the same nincompoop who tried to argue in favor of Manny Machado throwing a bat at people and not purposely knocking out a catcher in a erroneously long back swing.

Droford 10-14-2015 11:34 PM

Abad threw at Machados surgically repaired knee twice though..

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-14-2015 11:38 PM

Baltimore is legitimately some of the biggest bunch of pricks along with Kansas city. Always getting involved in bullshit. Note that the benches cleared multiple times in this series, but nobody ever threw at anyone. Baltimore is always up to something salty and Buck Showalter can't contain his little sourpuss fuckface.

Droford 10-14-2015 11:39 PM

Outside of Machado who has Bryce Harper syndrome I don't think that's at all the truth

Frank Drebin 10-15-2015 12:35 AM

This Royals/Jays series is gonna be fun. Interested to see if my prediction comes true.

Lock Jaw 10-15-2015 01:21 AM

Went to a Jays/Kansas game in August, and Jays won.... nice preview....

Ruien 10-15-2015 07:17 AM

Did the Jays peak yet?

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-15-2015 07:22 AM

I believe they peaked a few weeks ago ruien. Isn't it obvious?

Droford 10-15-2015 07:51 AM

Gonna laugh when the Royals sweep the Jays

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-15-2015 07:55 AM

Oh god, shutup.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-15-2015 08:05 AM

Thé only person who had any real right to be mad at that bat flip is Sam Dyson. But how do you not let that huge rush of intensity go? It's not like he did it during a home run he hit when the jays beat the Orioles 15-2 to clinch. The "unwritten rules" of baseball are usually upheld by douchebags such as Bryan McCann.

Stickman 10-15-2015 09:13 AM

Honestly, why are people making a big deal about the bat flip, get over it. This coming from a guy who hates showboaters.

Even though his comments after the game suggested he was pissed off at the bat flip, I think he really did understand it. The moment that seemed to irk him more was when EE came up next and was actively trying to get the crowd to stop throwing shit. But since it was loud as fuck there and Dyson didn't know what EE was trying to do, he thought EE was trying to play to the crowd before the at-bat even started.

road doggy dogg 10-15-2015 09:46 AM

that bat flip was one of the best I've ever seen, when you factor in the context of it all

fuck off @ people who are angry about it

screech 10-15-2015 09:52 AM

I love bat flips and that one was fantastic

haha

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CRUcjiqXAAEZjXQ.jpg

Droford 10-15-2015 10:01 AM

He threw the bat he didn't flip it. Plus he had to work in the sly stare at the pitcher right before he did.

road doggy dogg 10-15-2015 10:03 AM

Droford channeling his best STD right now

Damian Rey 10-15-2015 10:33 AM

Lol. Droford's homerism knows no bounds. What really happened was Machado was being a puss after being tagged out too aggressively for his tastes by Josh Donaldson, who in turn was thrown at. Machado was brushed back near the knees in retaliation, who then threw the bat down the line.

Had Machado not been such a sissy he would've avoided being thrown at.

There's no comparison to Harper. You don't hear or see Harper pulling that kind of bullshit at the mlb level.

Nicky Fives 10-15-2015 12:35 PM

Bautista played 1400+ regular season games and essentially won the game for his team in their biggest game in 20+ years in his 5th ever postseason game..... give the guy a break for showing a little emotion..... The only robots I want to see on the field are those to replace the umpires, who are and always will be fucking atrocious....

Gonna be fireworks in KC/TO though... neither teams like each other coming off TO's sweep of them at home to start their climb to the top of the AL East

Explain.

I love it when somebody shows emotion like that for doing something great. Why win if you can't rub it in somebody else's face?

Ortiz does it. Manny Ramirez did it. It's fine. I guess Droford is just mad cause they haven't peaked yet.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-15-2015 04:41 PM

If you're on the other team in any circumstance... Jose Bautista is easy to not like. He's a great team guy, he gets behind his teammates and his intensity and fire are near un matched. But he's salty, and he can be a bit unreasonable, not the most likeable individual, and I get how fans from rival teams with think he's a prick. But that bat flip should have nothing to do with it.

Emperor Smeat 10-15-2015 05:12 PM

The bat flip and reaction by Bautista was great. Rangers had plenty of chances to avoid that moment with better play or not throwing the ball where Baustita likes to hit his bombs.

http://m.mlb.com/images/6/3/8/154473...s_gjvlzoc9.gif

Crowd tossing stuff on the field and being too rowdy at times should be the bigger issue to complain and debate about from that game.

I don't even like the Jays and that bat flip has easily been the best moment of this playoffs by far

Evil Vito 10-15-2015 08:31 PM

First inning and the Dodgers have already done more damage off of deGrom than they did the whole first game :-\

Evil Vito 10-15-2015 08:36 PM

fortunately he limited the deficit to 1. Cespedes (who I love) K'ing on 3 pitches with 1 out and a man on 3rd in the 1st could loom large with Greinke on the mound.

plenty of time though.

Evil Vito 10-15-2015 08:41 PM

feel like there's no way Justin Turner isn't on steroids. might explain the beard growth.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-15-2015 09:13 PM

I'd say the oddest thing about that home run was Sam Dyson serving one up. The man had been money all series. He was also super salty in his post game interview, but one could assume he was a little sensitive about the matter.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-15-2015 09:14 PM

Guy on 3rd looks like the deaf diplomat on that TNG episode.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-15-2015 09:15 PM

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-15-2015 09:31 PM

Yes, you are free to do whatever you want once you hit first base.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-15-2015 09:40 PM

Yeah you can pretty much leave the base at any point unless the guy flies out.

Evil Vito 10-15-2015 09:53 PM

aaaand Justin Turner is now 10 for 18 in the series. how the fucking shit is this possible? why are they giving him anything to hit with an open base at this point?

Don't put people on with less than two outs.

Evil Vito 10-15-2015 10:02 PM

Fuck that shit. Turner has absolutely bent the Mets over the table this series...I'm giving him nothing to hit at this point. credit to deGrom for being able to Houdini his way out of trouble each inning.

and I was completely wrong on both accounts. Bravo Mets. Br-fucking-vo. So happy right now.
