Heavy Rain is in my top 5. Absolutely LOVED that game but it's not for everyone.
|
Heavy Rain was awesome. Totally depressing but I loved the different endings you could get.
|
I haven't played anything since I beat Red Dead 2 in like two weeks. It's been like 6 months or something since I've played a game. I got really busy at work and ... well the summer I'm more or less free so I'm sure I'll pick up a new title or two.

I was really into it before but the scene SPOILER: show I'm not finished though. I plan on getting the platinum trophy I think. It a great game so far. I'm invested. |
Quote:
The platinum is pretty straight forward but will require multiple playthroughs to get it, worth doing it though. |
Like I said Heavy Rain is one of the best games I've ever played.
I also finished The Last of Us last night. Wow what a game. Very excited for the second game to come out whenever it does |
Rumors point to Late winter/early spring
|
Scored an entry to the Code Vein closed network test. Downloaded and will give it a whirl after work tomorrow.

Getting back into No Man's Sky again. Fucking loads of new shit since I last played. Gotta refamiliarize myself with everything before the VR update.

Finally platinumed Darksiders 3.
Had to do a 3rd speedrun playthrough because there was some funny business in regards to the difficulty on my 2nd run. |
I just beat Batman Arkham Asylum. Great game! I still gotta go back and collect some riddles and archives and a few tapes i think. I'm like 20% or so from platinum. Not even sure if i cant platinum on the PS3 anymore cause some stuff might involve online.
|
Akham 1 and 2 are excellent
playing days gone. Cinematography scene transitions are very very poor. Jarringly so. But once you get into the sandbox theres a good game here. Story isnt half bad albiet cliché. Good $40 game. |
Knight gets flak but I think it’s still a great game.

Not for me at least. As you level your bike you do less and less and not driving like an idiot keeps repairs low anyhow. Beyond that i think having to scavenge for fuel is fucking awesome. Shit is like gold. You can also upgrade your fuel tank so consumption lessens as you go.
Ultimately early game is somewhat survival horror as ammo storage and bike maintenance supplies are scarce but as you go through the game you you lessen these problem. Beyond that you can pay for repairs/fuel so there's ample options to keep your bike maintained. |
I've been revisiting Total War: Medieval 2; out of all the Total War games, this one and the first Rome game are my favourite.
|
I upgraded my Xbox Live account to an Ultimate one for $1, and it goes through till September next year, great value to get Game Pass if you ask me. Going to start with either Hellblade or Life is Strange.
|
In part 2 of the Fate of Atlantis DLC for AC: Odyssey.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better storyline than the Legacy of the First Blade DLC. |

And yeah, lots of gems on the game pass at this point. |
Gonna start Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sometime today.
|
Im still going through Days gone but once I do Bloodstaind is next
|
I doubt its better than Curse of the Moon but hopefully its still good
|
Playing Ace Combat 7.
Mission 12 is kicking my ass. |
Oblivion, digging it so far, joined the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild
|
I bought a 360 just for oblivion. 0 regrets.
|
I have it on Xbox One and PC. Will do the PC version with mods after the Vanilla run
|
Tonight, I'll get some time to kick my feet up and play it more than 1 hour

Just finished Life is Strange, what a great little story. I think it even did the shape you own story better than most of the Telltale games. I really did feel like my choices made a difference where in some Telltale games it really didn't matter.
Now moved onto Wolfenstein: New Colossus, haven't played a FPS in years due to getting headaches with them, so will see how I get on with it. |

Finished up Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for the time being. Gotta go back in and do the collection portion of it another time.
Fired up Judgement this morning. Playing with subtitles and the Japanese voice cast. But, they got some good actors to the English dub. |
I have been playing CS GO for 5 years now, it seems to me that this game will always be popular

Hello everyone, I play CS GO. Constantly buying cases on different platforms, the probability that I was getting high-quality skins was 5%, but yesterday I accidentally found a website with a free bonus. Luck was on my side, and I won the Desert Eagle | Flame. Site https://farmskins.com/. Maybe someone will come in handy.

I just picked up a a bunch of PS3 games at a garage sale. I paid $3 per game on average. I got..
Resistance 3 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Skyrim : Legendary edition Infamous 2 Bioshock Final Fantasy 13 Just Cause 2 I got Terminator 2 on blu ray for .50 cent. |
Quick break from Judgment to play the final chapter of the Fate of Atlantis DLC for Assassins' Creed: Odyssey.
Let's see where the rabbit hole takes us to the potential next game in the series. |
Playing Arkham Origins .... much more entertaining than I recall when it was first released.
|
Ultimate Alliance 3. Combat is mostly good. Presentation is good. Cast is perfect. Voice cast sating is nesrly perfect. RPG elements leave a bit to be desired. Story is is fun if a bit meandering. The loss of trivia is tragic
Im enjoying though. |
Assassin's Creed Odyessy - already put 24 hours into it and absolutely loving it.

Finished the Judgement of Atlantis DLC of Assassins' Creed: Odyssey. Not the best of the trio, unfortunately.
SPOILER: show Time to go back to Kamurocho in Judgment. |
I'm thinking about trying out GTA Onlin but I haven't fucked with it since beta. I played through it originally on the ps3 and have read it's too late to import whatever shit I had over to the ps4.
That being said, I'm interested because of that casino finally getting released. I wonder if it'd be noob friendly....heard there's some kind of casino membership required to access it. |
Also, probably going to get back into ESO. The latest expansion looks worth it to at least fuck around for a lil bit. <3 ES lore.

$50,000 for VIP membership GTA Online is a pretty signifigant grind, but it's worth it if you have friends to share the mayhem of all the toys you earn. If not, there are a lot more rewarding experiences out there |
You can earn $50K in GTAO in like no time even if you're a total and complete noob.

Good game. I need to finish it |
Got around to finally playing RDR2 recently and it was incredible. So many amazing characters. But above all of them is Arthur; he's up there very high on my all-time favorite characters list. Really felt connected with him. Gameplay is standard Rockstar fare at this point and there is nothing wrong with that. I do have one major complaint though in that half the game world is locked off until the post game....and then there is really nothing there anyways. Seems like a HUGE waste of assets or a clear indication that a lot of content was cut/unfinished. I'm actually hopeful though that the assets were put in place for a remastered version of RDR1, only as DLC for part 2. It would be incredible to play it all in that engine as one huge experience.
Following that I decided to jump into Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the season pass since they just released the final major DLC pack. I LOVE this game. I know there are a lot of complaints about it not feeling like assassins creed, and those complaints are valid to an extent and I get them.....but I'm not complaining because to me, this is better. The evolution of the series is going on a great path as far as I'm concerned. Easily the biggest game world I can remember exploring. And I don't seem to be getting bored of it. At all. I've spent dozens of hours just walking around exploring aimlessly at this point. They've also finally embraced the more fantastical aspects of their lore, especially in the DLC; this is a very good thing because I suddenly find myself understanding some of the more esoteric aspects of previous stories. The combat is more visceral and immediate, but you can still be a ranged power house or a silent killer if you want; I run an assassin build that can also stand up pretty good in a brawl with any survivors of my assassinations. And there is just so much to do at all times with no end to mercenaries hunting you down and contracts to complete. Literally the only complaint I have is that it's too big and that's not really a complaint. |
I know the next Assassins Creed game is codenamed Kingdom and is supposedly about Vikings, and there is also talk about a possible China game (which I am fully behind and is my second choice for a setting at this point), I am hoping the Kingdom code name refers to the Kingdoms of northern India during the 2nd urbanization period towards the end of the Vedic period of Hinduism.
A game set sprawling across India, Pakistan and into Persia would be incredible. It would be set around the same time as Odyssey, maybe actually a direct precursor to it. There is already the tie in to the Persians in Odyssey and it's DLC, so exploring the Zoroastrian deities that they follow and the conflict between the greeks and their deities would be a good setting. You then have the aftermath of the Achaemenid war in the Indus valley to explore, which brings the setting into the Indus Valley and the Vedic Kingdoms. I think it would be fascinating to explore. |
Odyssey turned out to be a great game. But Ubisoft just jammed in waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much stuff to do. In previous titles I clock in at a reasonable time for the platinum. But, I've put in more than 200 hours between the main game and DLC.
There's a few issues that still need to be ironed out since Origins started this new style of gameplay and the story in general. But, I hope Ubisoft deals with them and has them sorted when the potential next game rolls along. |
I preferred origins but Odyssey was good. Fem protag >>>>>>

Im playing fire Emblem 3 houses. game of the year candidate for sure
|
I actually haven't played video games in the better half of a month. Just haven't had the itch. I'm sure that will change once Final Fantasy 7 Remake comes out.
|
I'm playing Skyrim for the first time and the other 24 PS3 games i've gotten in the last few months, may not get touched for a while. I'm also gonna replay FF7 on the PS Classic soon.

I just bought Odyssey for 60 bucks. It's downloading now, gonna go to the beach and I'll start playing it tomorrow. I'm off work til the end of the month so I will be able to put some hours in. Thanks Seph, was looking for a game to buy and I haven't been paying attention to stuff the past 6 months so your review put me over the edge.
|
I love open world maps. Having just beat Rd2 for the 2nd time I wanted more of the same and I've played a lot of Assassins games, the last one being Black Flag. I won't lie I never got into the naval stuff so I lost interest. I know there is Naval stuff here but I am going to give it a good chance. I just want to be able to do whatever I want and shaping my own character is so fun. It sounds like about everything you do affects your experience so I am excited. Am I going to be a total psycho or a gentleman with strong moral code? WHO KNOWS
|
I find myself in a moral grey area and making conflicting choices often. Kinda situational. Some people you don't feel as bad about shitting on, I guess.
It's a very open ended game. Once I got the freedom to go anywhere I slacked off on the main story and just started exploring and feel like I have forged my own narrative and development as such. In fact the only reason I'm not walking around in the mid 80's level wise at the VERY beginning of the story opening up is because I decided to progress the story twice, once to unlock something that certain skills/upgrades are stuck behind, and the second time so I could get to the start point for the DLC packs. |
Also if you just go out exploring....be careful of the weird triangle shaped map markers from time to time (they'll be gold or blue in a couple cases) and the gold question marks. No spoilers but the things in those particular areas do not scale the same as the level range listed on the regions. You could be level 15 and walk into a level 45 thing and it ain't pretty. Trust me, I did it when I first found a location called "Cave of Nobody" and started wondering if maybe Odysseus had been in here in his adventures lol.
|
Also if you got the version with the season pass, make sure to drop everything as soon as u get to that part in the story where the DLC unlocks (they make it very known to you that it unlocked, you'll know), go ahead and start working on those, at least the legacy of the first blade content. The Atlantis content ends up potentially spoiling a couple main story beats depending when u do it, but it hasn't effected me too much and seems minor. Anyways, there are some very game changing upgrades you can get in the packs that completely change the feel of the game and lead to some interesting builds. A couple of the perks on some of the dlc legendary items are SICK. You can get modifiers for maybe about half the skills on your ability page and the modified skills are often VERY different than the base skills. And theres a couple other things that are cool af, particularly something in the first blade content, that you'll want that I'm not gonna spoil.
Oh, and make sure you have some form of the level scaling enabled. Keeps the game engaging. I haven't checked out all the options, but the normal level scaling will keep all enemies within 2 levels of your current level once you reach the recommended level range listed for an area. Just do it. |

Witcher 3, bitches; beats everything, including Skyrim.

Odyssey is more fun. And I'd say Skyrim is more fun than Witcher. Just too much repetition in that game for me (Witcher 3). I never beat Witcher 3, most of it but it got stale for me. I may give it another go sometime and start from the beginning. Not slamming Witcher 3 it's great but Odyssey improves upon it. |
Strongly disagree. Witcher 3 is the best gane of this console cycle. Every inch of that game is crafted by hand with love. The detail in that game is unmatched. Side quests can feel just as polished as any main story mission. No contest.
|
I'm currently playing Dying Light; I've had it for around 4 years and I've started several times but never finished it. I should complete the main quest some time this week; I've enjoyed it a lot more as of late.
I saw a demo for Dying Light 2 and it looks pretty good; I may get that a year or two after release. |
Im about 200 hours in on fire emblem three houses. Should wrap up this playthrough (my 4th) around 230 or 240 hours.
Great game. Game of the year so far. |
I'm almost 90 hours deep into Assassins Creed Odyssey. Done all the main game stuff and now working my way through the episodic DLC. Currently about to start Episode three of The First Blade.
|
Wolfstein The New Order
It's got some cool backstory and stuff and alternate history to WW2, kinda annoyed at half the game being these fuckin fetch quests "Blaskowitz, go retrieve the welder from the bottom of the fountain" "Blaskowitz, go fist Anya up her asshole to retrieve the stolen blueprints" |
Gamez I've Beaten in 2019:
Uncharted Lost Legacy Persona 3 Super Mario Odyssey |
Finished Arkham Origins, now started playing Heavy Rain for the first time.
|
Been checking out Batman: Arkham Knight since it went on PS+ yesterday as a way to help pass the time until Borderlands 3.
|
Completed the main story of Dying Light; the final fight with Rais was rather naff, but getting to him was intense, particularly in the sewers.
|
I should have Judgment put to bed this weekend. Then I gotta track down the Japanese TV series Hero from which the game is sorta loosely based off. Actor in the game Takuya Kimura is the same guy who stared in the show.
I was hoping I get an invite into the Ghost Recon Breakpoint closed beta now in progress. Nothing yet in my inbox even though I pre-ordered the game. Might have to bug Gamestop after work tomorrow for a beta code. All-in-all, just waiting for Borderlands 3. |
Ion Maiden.
It reminds me of good old times when I was a kid playing Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior on my 266mhz Pentium 2 and it was like the coolest thing ever. Wish this game didnt get overshadowed by all the SJW nonsense. I was gonna not buy it because of the drama but I couldnt resist because seeing those graphics reminded me of the time when my life was pretty good. |

Witcher 3 might be the best game ever made.
|
A world that size thats hand crafted to that level...unheard of in the modern age
|
I mean outside of some of the old Might and Magic games and the Ultima games, have there ever been worlds even remotely close to that size and detail? Like, Skyrim was a great game but the world was kinda bland to me. It was all snowy mountains and pine trees. It seems weird, but the only "recent" game that I think was even as close to as detailed world wise was Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. That game is criminally underappreciated and a huge and varied world with tons of stuff to do. I would throw some of the Assassins creed games in here for their worlds, but creating a world based on existing places isn't the same as crafting a world from scratch.
|
|
Can't see anything in @Memenuts' post but dude if you want to pick on an Elder Scrolls game for its environments, pick Morrowind. I love it to death for introducing me to the series but even my nostalgia goggles can't blind me to how dated the visuals, UI and combat are just to name a few issues. Plus there's tons of reading you have to do, which who does that any more? Still a pretty solid RPG experience though.

Finished Judgment. Damn, what a game.
Ending was not what I was expecting. But, I enjoyed it regardless. |
I was playing "Man of Medan" when it ended abruptly. What a waste of 30 bucks. Absolutely horrible.
