Looks like. One handed fireballs, rising EX Hurricane Kicks, and a stiff standing attack game makes him something to fear.

DOES THIS DIRECTOR NOT KNOW THE STREET FIGHTER FUCKN FACTS?

A THREE YEAR OLD COULD MAKE A FUCKN BETTER MOVIE THAN THIS. YEAH I SAID IT!

Destor 11-17-2008 04:30 AM

Ken Masters is a American, don't get me wrong people, he's American. BUT KEN HAD LONG HAIR PEOPLE. OKAY?!?! THATS HIS STYLE!

Kalyx triaD 11-17-2008 09:39 PM

Direct Feed Arcade Play (Good match, too):

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z2z0AEiFiNI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z2z0AEiFiNI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Ken vs Ken (Good examples of Saving Attack Cancels (Black one)):

A bit choppy, but a highly technical fight:

Funky Fly 11-18-2008 12:14 AM

Holy fucking shit. Especially that last fight.

Hope to God the announcer can be turned off when it hits consoles.

Kalyx triaD 11-18-2008 12:19 AM

Doubt it. 'Commentary' in fighting games was dumb in VF5 and it still is.

Funky Fly 11-18-2008 12:33 AM

Capcom vs SNK 2 and MvC 2 were both pretty bad for it too. If you ever played Fighter's Destiny on the N64 (which totally needs to be remade, btw), horrible commentary was there too.

Kalyx triaD 11-18-2008 01:09 AM

LOL Actually Fighter's Destiny was the only fighting game that meshed well with the idea. Everything else moves too fast.

Blitz 11-18-2008 01:31 AM

God the animation in this game is fucking beautiful.

The idea was sound. The execution was balls.

Kalyx triaD 11-18-2008 07:11 AM

Guess NBA Jam will go down with the best commentary ever.

Kalyx triaD 12-04-2008 02:15 PM

There's some scans of Cammy and Gen from some magazine. Too lazy to link now. The mag revealed that Cammy would recieve "new combo oppertunities" from her base move set (and she is infact in her Delta Red gear ), and Gen retains his two fighting styles from the Alpha games. The game will also have a setting where playing Arcade Mode can be interupted by... you guessed it, A New Challenger (from online).

Fignuts 12-04-2008 03:02 PM

Rumored to be the final roster right here. Can't say I'll miss Dee Jay and T. Hawk. Also, loks like Rose is in.

Fignuts 12-04-2008 03:05 PM

Honestly, would have liked to have seen more returning alpha characters. Or at least someone else instead of Dan.

Kane Knight 12-04-2008 03:25 PM

I like T. Hawk. Then agian, how many Injuns do we see in fighting games?

And Dan. Really? Did we need a joke character?

Hmmmm...Rose. SOUL FLAME! Or whatever it was.

Vastardikai 12-05-2008 01:57 AM

Two of those you'll be able to download for free, so I can't see paying $10 for 5 different costumes. :-\

But hey, you like buying the extended warranty. :p

I know I could get the soundtrack elsewhere, but I've always been weird like that about buying CDs. The movie is a bonus. And at $10, it's actually a pretty good deal, considering retail on everything included would probably be around $55 normally.

Plus, I'm guessing you've been lucky enough to never have anything break down on you. I've worked in retail, and it is soul crushing when someone like you, who didn't buy the warranty, comes back to try and get a replacement and the store is like "kiss my ass, talk to the manufacturer" and the manufacturer is like "ching chang chong, not manufacturer defect, kiss my ass" and they have to buy another TV or stove or whatever. It just happens too frequently.

As a sales guy, I used to look out for my customers. I wouldn't even bring up a warranty on shit that I knew would last forever or where getting a warranty wasn't worth the price. But for big shit that'll cost you $1500 - $5000 or more, you'd be crazy not to have that protection.

Word. Only time I felt ripped off buying a deluxe edition was with Fable 2.

Yeah, I've done the retail thing too. I've been at Circuit City and at Staples, where selling the protection was your job security. I had a sales manager at Staples get fired because the electronics (his side) department wasn't selling enough service plans. So, I know from experience that most stores push it on you because that's what makes them the $$$, not because they give a fuck about you.

Yeah, they always want you push it, but I built a customer file based on actually looking out for my customers.

Incidentally, I've only ever had one return on any of my sales, and it was because of the warehouse guys fucking up with stock and not my fault in any way.

Maybe if retail America was mostly consisted of people like you, it'd have a better reputation.

I checked out a few sites about the European and Australian versions of the Collector's Edition and it seems the PAL version isn't coming with a CD soundtrack. I haven't seen it said "It wont have a CD soundtrack" but when ever the content is listed, it never mentions the CD. Though, it does give the impression it will come with both the figurines and it says the hint book will be in comic book style.

Quote:

- Limited edition figurines of all time favourite character Ryu and the all new character Crimson Viper, positioned within the familiar settings of the 'crowded Chinese downtown'.
- A bonus disc containing a feature length HD quality anime movie, created specially for the launch of Street Fighter IV and a selection of the best game trailers to date.
- A mini strategy guide created in the style of a comic art book detailing the moves and biographies of four of the new characters to the series; Viper, Abel, El Fuerte and Rufus.
- Exclusive downloadable game content.

I was going to preorder the Collector's Edition for the anime and the CD but I'm not so sure now if it's going to be one and not the other. Plus, the figurines look pretty small. Not like the regular sized ones you see in videogame stores.

Kalyx triaD 12-11-2008 10:35 AM

I hope the studio doing the anime does Street Fighter animation from now on. Great stuff.
