The inferno themed stuff is definitely sweet. Bummed I never found a tatted up Sindel skin though.

Worth noting that they clearly knew how bad fox was. In the main story shes got like 2 lines.

I will say Lambert's characterization of Raiden was more entertaining and more in line than the Jesus Christ-like interpretation of Remar in the second movie.

Random Invasion thoughts:

I think they should allow you to go back and do this Scorpion themed Invasion after the next one pops up. It'd really dumb to only have one at a time and a content killer for people that don't have enough free time to finish or for those that pick up the game later.

I'm actually shocked they don't make you beat the Scorpion boss for only a chance to get a Nether Stone. Once you beat him once you can go back and open them all.

Talisman and Relics are pretty worthless for the most part outside of a few fights. 99% of the fights are just snooze fest grinds after the first node or so.

There should be a Relic that doesn't do anything positive except block Kahn's favorite maneuver...the button rearrangement.

Each Invasion campaign should also have its own character/kameo leveling that starts off from scratch ignoring everything from Scorp's current campaign....level 0, items, etc.

That second Mortal Kombat film was as close to pure garbage as you could get for a video game-based film.

The first MK film was a nice campy style action film set in the MK universe but that second film made Street Fighter The Movie seem like a masterpiece in comparison and that movie was somewhat awful baring Raul Julia's performance.

The 2nd MK movie was garbage but still a guilty pleasure of mine along with Mario Bros, Howard the Duck, etc.

The soundtrack slayed (as an industrial music fan).

At least it gave us live action Night Wolf.

This is a good to 7/10 game right now. I'm not a conspiracy truck scientist but NR have had their hands tied with the WB/Discovery changes and bumped this game a year before it was ready.

You know, I've never really given that much thought to the music of the franchise. Outside of a few pieces, I can't really call them iconic or memorable. Street Fighter, on the other hand, has produced a lot of good tracks. Still, this is a good little dive into the new game.

Thinking about the characters made up for the final "Armageddon" run in the story mode. Reminds of the time as a stupid pre-teen coming up with my own "original" Mortal Kombat characters. One was, of course, a ninja palette swap named Ash. Yup, totally not a rip-off of Smoke or anything. He was orange and every about him revolved around fire, smoke, and, duh, ash. I wish I still had my drawings from back then. I came up with some doozies.

Yeah, some of them are brutal with the meteor spamming and what not. Lol, my talisman is cray now. I just hit it once and boom. Win...always recharges itself. All my kameos are maxed. Got some of the characters left to get to 35.
