I know nothing about the current Pacers (sorry RP)

Krimzon7 05-16-2014 06:46 PM

I know they(the pacers) fucking suck. Ibaka is out for the playoffs with a bad calf

I wonder if the reason Bulls are number 3 in a lot of places is because of the WGN station broadcasting Chicago Bulls games.

ron the dial 05-18-2014 11:05 AM

lots of relocated Chicagoans throughout the country. all chicago sports teams seem to have a decent amount of support on the road. except for maybe the white sox.....

Ruien 05-18-2014 11:44 AM

Plus there is the whole Jordan and dominate Bulls thing that made them popular throughout the country.

Anywhere I go there seems to be Miami, Bulls, and Laker fans.

Jura 05-18-2014 01:08 PM

Well I grew up watching Michael Jordan and the Bulls because of WGN broadcasting their games and I'm some states west of Illinois so I have a feeling WGN is a big part of the reason why the Bulls are third in a lot of the western states. And I've read WGN is big a company/network.

Krimzon7 05-18-2014 03:32 PM

SO JACKED UP FOR THIS SERIES!!!! LETS GO HEAT!

Krimzon7 05-18-2014 03:32 PM

:( Mark Jackson on the telecast. Taking Steve Kerr's place? Fucking hope he gets a great job.

Ya that is part of it. But how popular are the Atlanta Braves? As WGN does have some effect on it the domination of Michael Jordan has a lot more.

Ruien 05-18-2014 05:05 PM

ESPN has a large role on what teams are popular too.

Jura 05-18-2014 05:15 PM

I used to like David Justice and the Atlanta Braves but that was a long time ago. They aren't successful and it is baseball after all.

Same reason there are so many Heat and Lakers fans... left-over front runner a$$ n*66*s from the 90s... like 80% of people in my school liked the Bulls over the Knicks in the Jordan days

RP 05-18-2014 10:41 PM

So I guess Krimzon can go shut the fuck up now.

Ok

MrSmokeydogg7 05-19-2014 07:32 AM

Alittle late but i can't beelive the Wizards lost....

Anyway Heat will beat the Pacers in 6

Spurs will beat Thunder in 6

Jura 05-19-2014 10:46 AM

I think Thunder vs Heat would be more interesting than Spurs vs Heat.

MrSmokeydogg7 05-19-2014 10:57 AM

yes more interesting but with the injury to Ibaka i don't see the thunder beating the spurs

Idk. Miami pretty much owns OKC. It'd be a short series. Spurs will give em more trouble

MrSmokeydogg7 05-20-2014 10:50 AM

So everyone agree Heat vs Spurs in the Finals

road doggy dogg 05-20-2014 10:52 AM

I had a dream last night that I was in the NBA. Felt cool

Jura 05-20-2014 11:34 AM

Until you get to the part where you hit the showers.

RP 05-20-2014 01:28 PM

I think the Pacers are about to prove a point tonight. They own the Heat.

McLegend 05-20-2014 08:23 PM

Why does the NBA keep fixing things for Cleveland?

Evil Vito 05-20-2014 08:28 PM

The NBA isn't even trying to hide that the lottery is fixed at this point.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-20-2014 08:30 PM

Bill Simmons is pissed.

McLegend 05-20-2014 08:39 PM

I don't actually believe in fixes, but this is really weird. They had a 1.7% chance if winning the lottery... That's insane.

I don't feel bad about Lebron leaving anymore. Am I alone in this? Does the NBA still fed bad?

Maybe the NBA wants Lebron to come back to Cleveland so they are trying to "stockpile" the team?

I don't see why they would care though about Lebron going back to Cleveland. So I don't know.

Emperor Smeat 05-20-2014 08:40 PM

 NBA. Might top the 2008 Lottery in terms of getting a rigged result.

:-\ Cs lost 1 spot (were #5 pick going in, now #6 pick)

Pistons ended up getting screwed the most because the Cavs moved up too much.

McLegend 05-20-2014 08:42 PM

Parker or Wiggins will probably be on the board at 3. So I'm not distraught right now.

Crimson 05-20-2014 08:49 PM

I think they go 1 and 2 actually

Crimson 05-20-2014 08:51 PM

Yea 3/4 years getting the top pick. Pretty damn fishy.

McLegend 05-20-2014 09:38 PM

Embiid is getting a lot of play at 1 and 2.

alvarado52 05-20-2014 09:57 PM

That was very sweet of the NBA to give the Cavs a do-over from last year.

Essentially what happened in the lottery was, Cavs shot up to number 1, everyone else dropped one projected spot, but otherwise they were where they were projected to be, standings wise.

Ruien 05-20-2014 10:40 PM

Just happy someone that was not tanking received the number 1 spot.

what happend to Stephenson. Hope it's not serious.

Bad News Gertner 05-20-2014 11:58 PM

Fuck sakes. My Jazz just can't get a break

Krimzon7 05-20-2014 11:59 PM

So great two game stretch for Indy. I dont know how they can keep up their pace for shooting 3's. Theyve been deadly.

Krimzon7 05-21-2014 11:08 PM

Paul George has a concussion. He may not be ready This weekend. So Game 3 has a built in excuse for Indiana.

screech 05-22-2014 09:05 AM

So the lottery was this week, when is the draft? For some reason I thought they were within days of each other.

DaveBrawl 05-22-2014 09:41 AM

It's a couple days after the finals isn't it? That way they have the last few picks settled.

screech 05-22-2014 04:20 PM

That makes sense. I guess I didn't think they gave teams that much time to strategize over it.

I don't know. Reggie Miller. Jason Kidd.

DaveBrawl 05-22-2014 04:43 PM

Laphonso Ellis

Krimzon7 05-24-2014 09:51 PM

Hello guys, there's a Basketball contest on tonight. IT's pretty good. I mean, I know that there are a majority of you guys who like to wait until the Heat lose to come out of hiding to talk shit...but COME ON!!!!

Krimzon7 05-24-2014 11:35 PM

Well, hopefully there is some non heat related news so you guys will come back...

screech 05-25-2014 10:18 AM

Spurs Big 3 now have the most playoff wins for a trio, which is neat.

That's the extent of my basketball discussing for the moment.

Krimzon7 05-26-2014 08:57 PM

Heat are playing in Game 4 against the Pacers tonight. It seems as if the bandwagon of Heat haters have decided to boycott the thread. Perhaps the Heat will lose tonight, and bring you guys back in here.

PS: I don't really hope for that. I could care less. This thread has been 7 months of hoping that some team would step to the plate and dethrone the champs. I savor the butthurt that is oozing out of your pores in your silent reading and active non posting in this thread.

That is neat. The Spurs are so successful, it's ridiculous. I was watching them last night and was wondering how in the bloody hell they are always playing this late in the season... I'm a HUGE fan of Greg Popovich. I honestly think he is the best coach in the history of the NBA, Bar none.

Krimzon7 05-26-2014 10:41 PM

20 points...nobody front runs like the fighting Lebrons!

MrSmokeydogg7 05-28-2014 11:54 AM

Wow, Serge Ibaka is the best player on the Thunder...

screech 05-28-2014 02:02 PM

So Donald Sterling [allegedly] was ready to hand over the Clippers to his wife so she could negotiate a sale. Now he is going to fight the league's "illegal actions."

hmmmm

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 03:44 PM

Russell Westbrook was amazing last night. Serge Ibaka, and Westbrook have saved Scott Brooks' job.

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 08:29 PM

I'm here for the funeral!!!

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 08:35 PM

Stephenson is prepping for an elimination game. Wanna know what he is doing during shoot around? Reverse three pointers. What a fucking idiot.

Ruien 05-28-2014 10:55 PM

I have become a HUGE fan of David West during these playoffs. Dude is a beast. Never seems to be bothered by the moment.

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 11:02 PM

West has been so consistent. George is playing out of his fucking mind.

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 11:05 PM

Every game should've been like this.

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 11:16 PM

7 points from Lebron... 3 point Pacers win. Whew. This was entertaining...but heat in 6

Krimzon7 05-28-2014 11:17 PM

Hey guys, glad you all could make it.

RP 05-29-2014 12:07 AM

PACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SHOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Ruien 05-29-2014 09:35 AM

Pacers are probably going to lose but they finally closed out a game against the Heat. Shit, first time they really closes out either of the halves correctly in the close games. Could be a emotional boost for them.

Nah, Spurs play tomorrow. You're good.

Krimzon7 05-30-2014 11:10 PM

There's a bright side in all of this. There are a ton of kids in Cambodia that will get some fresh, new, Indiana Pacers Eastern Conference Champions Tshirts and Hats!

It will be a nice step up from the ones they got last year. They probably got them around game 2 though.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

STTTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKEEEE

Ruien 05-31-2014 02:57 PM

I would take Lance on the Chicago Bulls any day of the week. He can be a solid role player that brings the intensity everyday. No idea why ESPN writers are claiming it is not a lock for Indiana to bring him back. Lance is their spark and has more heart and sole than 3 of their other starts plus their entire bench put together (Have to exclude West).

Ruien 05-31-2014 02:58 PM

Is it sad these Indiana Pacers will go down as the biggest threat to Miami during their legacy?

RP 05-31-2014 08:40 PM

I really don't want Stephenson back. If Vogel is coming back, he needs a great offensive minded bench coach added. I'd like to see them ship Scola, let go of Lance and Turner and build around Paul George and hope Hibbert dont trip on his loose vagina running up the floor.

Krimzon7 05-31-2014 11:23 PM

The Pacers have like 2.5 million in cap room, they can't afford to bring him back unless they get creative. Stephenson doesn't strike me as the kind of guy you move money around for.

As long as Hibbert and George are on the same team, the Pacers are fucked. I think that their wills oppose each other. One of them has to go. The problem: You dont trade size, and Granger is gone so you've gotta keep George. I'd trade hibbert for Kevin Love...and try to convince him to stay in Indy.

Krimzon7 05-31-2014 11:29 PM

Russell Westbrook, ladies and gentlemen.

Crimson 06-01-2014 01:13 AM

I know Love is leaving Minnesota and all, but there's no way in hell I'd trade for Hibbert lol.

Krimzon7 06-01-2014 09:40 AM

Hibbert has the size and tools to be great. I think that there is something internal in that locker room or in the organization that fucks with his mind. He would definitely benefit from a change of scenery.

Ruien 06-01-2014 10:55 AM

Hibbert is a very good player. No one is trading a superstar for Love so Hibbet, if actually offered, would be one of, if not the, best offers made.

Ruien 06-01-2014 11:03 AM

Osik becomes avaiable next year and he would make a wonderful fit for the Pacers. To bad his contract expires in a year. Think Hibbert can be traded though for someone.
