But those things don’t matter. The only thing they could have actually done better and it really have impact was the Hawk face turn but I think he will deal with a reckoning in season 4.

Or Kreese thinking himself, Johnny, and Robby could melt the snowflake generation.

Our friendship is ruined. There's no going back, Guru.

Also I have no idea why I said that. I don't think I connected my thoughts.

Kinda shallow, Dalesan. /s

What's done is done. I'm a man of honor and can't go back on my word. Our friendship is nothing but scattered remains due to your most heinous of crimes.

If you ask me what those crimes were, don't expect me to answer. It's for you to know and me to find out

I'm flipping the script, Dalesan. Brace yourself for eternal damnation, most righteously deserved.

Skeletor is gonna beat someone bloody then spit on them.

I'm probably going to break a poster's hand too.

There have been other parts in the show I am like wtf. I think the home invasion was just the climax |
Pretty sure Cobra Kai 4 will see Kreese, Barnes, and Silver going up against Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen at some point. Wouldn’t also be surprised to see Kreese getting that fat guy and his parents to sue Hawk for beating the shit out of him.
|
|
While I enjoyed Hawk’s face turn, I think Demetri embracing him as a friend so soon was unrealistic. They had been feuding for quite some time, and Hawk had broken his arm, wrecked his science project, and tried to beat the shit out of him during the school brawl. Oh, and he had poured beer on his head at Moon’s party during the Summer. Agreed with the sentiment in this thread this show is hilariously unrealistic at times, but that’s a part of the appeal. For example Atleast. I think the show as a whole is awesome.

I just finished season 2 and had to stay up and watch the first episode of S3
I'm not sure if it's the nostalgia or not. I'm entering my late 30's. Karate Kid was a huge part of my life. I loved 1, 2 and 3. It really saddens me that Pat Morita died and is not a part of this . They are nailing everything so far ( i'm only 2 seasons in ). I think more 80's movies could do this. Whoever is behind this is doing amazing. Casting is amazing. Storylines are being brought along so well ( Hawk). The only thing I didnt love is the final episode and the huge fight in the school. Totally unrealistc. If this were my high school, so many black kids would be arrested and i'm just being for real right now. Other than that, I'm about to binge the 3rd season on Youtube and i'm excited man. I love this show. |
entering my 30's lol
more like 40's. Sorry I wish. |

The first season was gold. They should have just made a movie instead of letting it die a slow death like pretty much most TV shows. That’s why TV is shit. That’s why only people who watch television are fat, unhappy housewives and grown men who post on Internet message boards about a fake sport.

That “Sue me for what?” line is a Rocky V homage.
Thomas Ian Griffith looks like Christophe Lambert as Raiden... This is going to be insane. |
Are we still talking about Samantha LaRusso’s nipple color? An
|
I’ll leave that up to you my man
|
lol I’m not even watching the trailer I’m going in blind.
I’m still against Terry Silver being in this show, because he is the worst. Hopefully I’m wrong. |
Woo starting this
|
I can’t find it online is it on Netflix?
|
I just found it.
Oh my God, it’s Cobra Kai...back! |
Mary Mouser is looking fine as a mother fucker all up in here.
She must be old enough to cum in the vagina now. Sweet. |
Big Fat Miguel... damn bro them hormones ruined a kid...
Fuckin’ Robbie is an animal now... Damn... Very sweet shit... |
Episode 1 is great.
I missed my old friends. |
Miguel is so hilariously fat now...lol
This kid will be obese in season 5. |
Eli with the best line ever in Cobra Kai, delivery was excellent:
“Shit! Not another rumble...” |
He’s a sexual too...
Fucking hell that is a quality throwaway line. |
I feel like they should probably get Miguel a personal trainer/nutritionist between seasons just so he comes in looking more legit. I'm having a hard time believing he can withstand the rigours of Eagle Fang training.
|
I saw the whole season but'll hold off on spoilers as everyone catches up.
I will say--Mary Mouser is very cute but dear god, she is the weakest actor of the "main" kids. Very Disney. Hawk and Dmitri seem the most natural to me, though I'd need to rewatch all of it again since I binge-watch, making it impossible to have really good judgement. Miguel has a lot of good moments but sometimes falters and comes off a little too hokey. Tanner Buchannan really performed well this season after feeling a bit "off" for the past 2 after I liked his performance in season 1. Peyton List is growing on me. Feels way less terrible of an actor than before. The new black kid whose name escapes me I thought was very very very stellar. And same with LaPusso. For their age, both performances felt honest and unforced. The problem I find (and there aren't too many on the show, given its tone and aim) is a lot of the other kids are used almost strictly to info-dump--or maybe some of them are so stilted in delivery that's how it comes off. There was also that new girl on Eagle Fang who sounded like she was reading her lines off a teleprompter. In fairness, you're going to have mixed results when so much of the cast is teenagers, so it's unfair to shit all over it. As far as the adult cast, there aren't too many weaknesses. Maybe Miguel's mom. Was really impressed all around though. Martin Kove is really maximizing this opportunity. Good for him. And I really enjoyed Terry Silver. |
The black kid kept pulling this really stupid scared face at the start, which rapidly evolved into an even more annoying cocky face. He’s the new Peyton List. This is what happens when they broadstroke characters early on and have to flesh them out properly later.
I understand the need for it, it’s just a bit much sometimes. Stingray was fucking great though, he should be cherished. |
Robby was pretty amazing at the end there btw, that was a genuinely well staged and acted scene which broke from the cheese in a way I appreciated.
There needs to be a bit more realism, let the actors work a little bit more naturally. It’s always good to see relatable drama between the teen gang fights. That being said, that fight between Robby and Hawk was fantastic. I loved the mirroring. Quality. |
I dunno though, that kid (re: black scared/cocky face) had a fuckload of dialogue and it never at one point seemed like he was trying to remember his lines, which puts him ahead of probably 95% of the other kids lol.

The director would be the one to blame anyway, not the kid.
|
Terry Silver turning full blown cartoon villain by the end there was jarring but nice to see. He was the better bad guy in the original Karate Kid trilogy, he was just so ridiculously nefarious that if he hadn’t done something totally mental by the end of this season, there would be no point bringing him back.
|
Yeah and they kept leaving hints he would go there. Plus, you get the idea there's a chance for redemption. I think his intentions were good at the beginning, but Kreese broke him.
|
lol I wonder if Kyler is going to ever turn face.
|
Loved it but Kenny was a shoehorned in character. He only existed to give the young LaRusso kid a story arc and the touching reunite between Johnny/Robby.
|
Hmm I think they have big plans for Kenny.
|
We'll see.. some of these kids just get too good at karate too fast.
I know they just finished filming the next season. I hope he grew... Miggie actor was going through a weird weight phase but he is about to star in DC's Blue Beetle that he has said he's been bulking up for. |
Guarantee the whole crew bus down eventually to Mexico and fight street fight'ish tourney
|
The whole Cobra team will half tourney quit on Silver and Kreese will show up freshly released and a new philosophical look on martial arts
|

If they were realistic about the karate nobody would watch it. Just a bunch of kids flailing around hurting themselves. Every fight would be Miguel pulling that muscle.

I get tired of everyone switching from bad to good and good to bad every episode. Season 4 was ok.
SPOILER: show |
He's rich but not THAT rich.

"He taught you Karate for 25 years and you couldn't teach him basic English?" |

I think it was the other way around, someone got called out when they may have been hit first. It wasn’t clear if that was a good or bad call.

I think crazy lil Kenny offed his mum.

Enjoyed Season 4 more than Season 3. Terry Silver was a great addition and I enjoyed him going full crazy heel at the end of the season.

hahaha! fucking Terry Silver. Loved this part from III where Miyagi taunts him at the end.

I particularly like the scene where the 40 year old man frames a man for murder so he can do karate with teenagers at his favorite karate dojo.

This show. Love it. Just finished. Unreal. Can’t wait for season 5.
|
It's almost as if the actress that plays Sam was being punished. They literally went out of there way to make me be like " FUCK YOU SAM! " and later in the season. " CRY LITTLE SHIT FILLED DOUCHE! ". They wrote her character as if she was the 2nd or 3rd villain of the season. I did not understand that at all.
|
The point was that if you let hatred take control then you become what you hate.
It’s an oldie but a goodie. |

I think it's more Woke than that. I thing it's about Sam getting her period and starting to think about Juan Pablo's 7 inches being slammed her. And she got distracted. |
Yeah that's what they were going for.

Sam on her period.

"Cobra Kai: Season 5" — Netflix Series |
I bet Mike Barnes from KK3 will be Miguel's dad.
|
Should change the name of this show to "Boomer fight"
|
Shut your face you turd.
Cobra Kai is back and the first episode was great, so fuck off if you’re a hater. |
Anybody that knows anything knows Mike Barnes is the holy grail of comebacks after they got Terry Silver.
Terry Silver wrote a few great episodes of some of your favourite shows btw. |
Maybe in 30 years we can get a few storylines of the people currently under 30.
|
I like the droford pepper eating cameo
|
Season has been absolute cheesy bollocks so far. Love it.
|
Lol was on the last episode apparently. Yep total silliness and I was there for it.
|
Enjoyed the last episode, could really see the series ending there.
|
Only issue with ending it from here is that I thought the show was supposed to be about reinventing Cobra Kai. So far, it's exactly the same as it always was. IMO you need a season where the dojo is finally redeemed, given it's the name of the damned show.
|
That is true, but there are no real villain characters now, everyone is friends.
I guess you could have the female antagonist do something but her character was extremely boring. |
The female antagonist has a connection with Kreese--as shown in the flashbacks when Silver and Kreese are training with her Dad. I assume the last season will pair them together, and I'm guessing they'll both turn babyface by season's end--after being heels for most of it--turning Cobra Kai into something good.
|
Kreese is already being booked as the ultimate anti-hero.
|
Cobra Kai has given me everything I ever asked for and slightly more. When I saw Mike Barnes fighting Chozen in the furniture shop I was so happy.
Cheese turned up to 11. I’m nearly on the last episode. |
As saccharine and cloying as the fan service could be in previous seasons, this season was BY far the most ramped up. They've earned it, though, and by god did they use all that real estate.
|
It was very on the nose and a lot of scenery was chewed, but as you told me early on in this endeavour…it’s the Karate Kid bro. Gon’ be cheesy.
Terry Silver’s addition was a guarantee of cartoonish evil, I have not been left disappointed by the fulfilment of my desires. I wonder why other shows keep fucking me… |

It's funny to watch which characters are handled with care (aka the ones the writers like writing for) and who they struggle with or don't care about. Amanda and Miguel's mom are written as two fuddy-duddies. Amanda has potential and the actress is super likeable but they have no clue what to do with her. So, they're either very concerned about Johnny, Daniel, the children, etc., or they are chockful of exposition. The younger cast realllllly struggles but a lot of the dialogue written for them would make anybody look bad. That said, I root for the kids I'm supposed to root for and cheer against those I'm supposed to loathe. Despite some of the clunkiness, they're all relatable and I often enjoyed reruns of old-school 90210 so meh. You only see quality work from the adults. Sometimes Ralph Macchio gets a bit schmaltzy but that's because--at this point--the writers have him going through a version of the same arc every season. AKA Keeping Miyagi Do open while keeping the childrens safe. So wtf can he do. I think he's a great actor and he's had a nice resurgence/renaissance. His best work I've seen is in The Deuce on HBO. And he's awesome on the show despite some overripe sentimental acting from time to time. It seems to me the writers are most at home with Johnny, even if he's got nothing to do. I have a feeling he's their conduit. The guy who can say the things they want to say and make the non-PC jokes they feel they can't make anymore. Everything becomes more interesting when Johnny is around. He's also the most authentic-seeming character on the show and the one the audience most relates to (or at least I do). And yeah, the villains get all the fun backstory stuff. Lots of room to chew scenery and be ridiculous yet awesome. Chozen was easy because he's just a more polished, civilized version of Johnny. |
Chozen going through the sensei’s was top class
|
Yeah I was worried they wouldn't put him over strong, but I was pleased with his presentation.
|
rewatched this latest season. there's nothing better to say about a tv show. - all time
seinfeld, m.a.s.h, facts of life, etc. they all suck in comparison. |
The writers took the old and made it a brand new pink corvette season after season.
|
Just completed the last season. Despite how campy the show is, the final episodes tend to deliver.
