Giving Impact a chance again. Been okay so far. Production value and set looks better than before. I actually like the look of the set at least.

Just Josh Matthews commentating is a little rough, and sweet jesus how many fucking factions are there in this company now?

Dark One 05-09-2015 12:35 AM

Spoiler tagging this since it's one of the returns on Impact, but, I need to make this joke:

SPOILER: show

WHAT'S THE VIGILANTE VELVET SKY DOING IN THE IMPACT ZONE?

Dark One 05-09-2015 12:46 AM

I've always liked Eric Young, but he looks like a Daniel Bryan impersonator raided Bret Hart's closet right now.

Impact Main Event thoughts:

SPOILER: show
Of course a TNA Championship match would feature the following things:

1) One of the competitors hitting a low blow on the guest referee from behind to let people interfere... despite the fact that he was clearly the only one in the ring. This did not result in a DQ.

2) A one legged guy coming to the defense of the world champion, an olympic gold medalist.

3) Two semi-unrelated factions interfering and brawling out of the match. If you're keeping track, this means no less than 7 people interfered in the match to some extent.

Surprisingly, a clean finish despite all the clusterfuckery, so at least there's that.

Not a terrible show. Better than most of what I'd seen since the move to Destination America, but it definitely has more than a little bit of the issues that have pretty much plagued TNA for a decade now.

I'm not going to go out of my way to watch it, but I'll probably check it out again if I happen to be home and not watching anything else.

And now it's being followed by a show with a bunch of thick-accented ghost hunters from Tennessee. And they've been avertising "ALL NEW HILLBILLY BLOOD TOMORROW 9/8c" above their logo all night. Strong company TNA's keeping.

From a recent interview JTG had with WrestlingNews dealing with a variety of topics like Cryme Tyme, Creative being bad in general, and no desire to return to the WWE in the future. http://wrestlingnews.co/exclusive-jt...76556396484375
Or it could be that they are both absolutely terrible....

This is why TNA will always suck.

That stupidly over-the-top one at 20 seconds when Orton's like "I'm messing around..." is brilliant. :D

Adam Rose is still a shit character, but I can't bring myself to hate the guy. Even if he does give his kids names best reserved for dogs.

loopydate 05-09-2015 12:14 PM

WCW missed a huge opportunity by not calling Kimberly the "Booty Beauty" instead of the "Booty Babe."

Figures I'm going to the show on the 14th. Booo

Lock Jaw 05-10-2015 12:51 AM

Hmmm.... Kane has been butting heads with Seth Rollins as of late.... and May 19th is coming up..... coincidence? Or.....

#1-norm-fan 05-10-2015 01:44 AM

It would be awesome if we looked back and found out that every time Kane went "monster" again, it was just before May 19th. Like... it was actually planned like that.

GD 05-10-2015 01:55 AM

Amazing spoiler from next week's Impact, which again is so TNA it hurts.

SPOILER: show
*Hardcore War: Team Young (Eric Young, Low Ki, Kenny King, Bram, and MVP) defeated Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Chris Melendez, Mica, Drew Galloway, and Lashley) when Young hit a piledriver on Melendez. After the match, Young pulled off Melendez’ leg and tried to hit him with it. Angle stopped him, but Young hit Angle and put him in the camel clutch and choked him with the leg.

Well shit, now I have to watch next week.

#1-norm-fan 05-10-2015 04:46 AM

lol Sounds amazing. If I could buy him as a heel in the first place, it would be more amazing.

Fignuts 05-10-2015 08:47 PM

Yeah.

Mysterio before his injuries slowed him down was awesome.

Fignuts 05-10-2015 08:49 PM

Should go back and watch his WCW matchws from 96-98. He's even better. Just the fluidity in how he did everything back then was like watching water.

McLegend 05-10-2015 09:11 PM

I love all Angle/Mysterious matches.

Those 2 were great together.

Jordan 05-11-2015 12:21 AM

Those Mysterio gifs are awesome.

I just wanted to put out there, I've canceled my WWE network subscription. WWE doesn't do shit to try and get my money and I'm not gonna let it just slip away because it's easier to subscribe than unsubscribe.

GD 05-11-2015 02:36 AM
