Been a Seahawks, Canucks, Blue Jays, and BC Lions fan (yes I watch CFL, lol) since 1987.

I don't know SillyTrickyDamon,

I've been reading your posts on here for a little while now, and it seems to me that you live a little *too* vicariously through your sporting hero's and your wrestling hero's.........at the expense of your own well being.

Based on pictures of yourself that you've posted on here, I'm also guessing that you have a wide variety of health problems that include high cholesterol, Type II diabetes, and other typical illnesses related to having a high body fat percentage.

You seem to spend a lot of time on here as well.

I say this, because I have a feeling that you've lost perspective in life. While it's great that your idols like Tom Brady and Daniel Bryan are achieving great success in life (which clearly makes you happy), what are you doing for YOURSELF?

Tom Brady goes home with millions of dollars to his mansion and pretty wife. After 'cheering' Brady, you turn off the TV and are faced with the same problems that have always faced you (i.e. obesity, having low income, wondering if you'll be able to make rent ok, etc.).

This is a wonderful question that MANY people need to ask themselves.

I haven't been following this thread too much, and so I actually don't know if you've been acting like a jackass in the manner that SlickyTrickyDamon has, but if you have...............then yes................the post would apply to you as well.

Although to be honest, you don't come across as a 'greasy' and 'creepy' human being like STD does......although you do have a tendency t be annoying in debates.

You do however, fit the criteria of being fat, and likely having high cholesterol and Type II diabetes. You used to post on the internet way too much........like STD does now..........but you seem to have scaled back and so you may actually have a bit of a life outside the forums now.

<font color=goldenrod>Giants are planning on slapping the franchise tag on JPP, which is projected to be about $15 million. They were entering this offseason with around $30 million in cap space. Subtract out around $6 million set aside for draft picks and they're left with $9 million to try and re-sign a ton of guys and grab an extra lineman or two.

Both the Chargers and Raiders are considering a Giants/Jets type plan if both move to LA in the near future. Plan could theoretically go into effect as early as 2016.

They'd be willing to share the same stadium as a way to make the move more appealing to LA investors and also agree on one of them moving to the NFC for scheduling reasons.

New stadium would cost around $1.7 billion to build in Carson, California.

Lions GM wants the NFL to consider the idea of expanding challenges to include penalties but only for those called on the field. Can't use replay to force a flag to be thrown under his idea.

Used the example of the flag pickup PI incident from the Lions-Cowboys controversy as an example.

road doggy dogg 02-20-2015 12:01 PM

Obvious homer bias, but it's something that's always irritated me anyway. Something like defensive PI can potentially be the biggest play in a given game, even if we're just objectively talking from a raw yardage standpoint. To not be able to challenge a questionable call seems ludicrous to me.

I do agree with the "not using a replay to force a flag" part too. You can't throw a challenge because you thought there was holding or w/e... seems like that would cause way more problems than helps

screech 02-20-2015 01:14 PM

I like the idea of challenging questionable calls. V much in favor of getting calls correct.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-20-2015 02:41 PM

I think they should take out automatic first downs for penalties.

owenbrown 02-20-2015 09:52 PM

PI is one of the shittiest penalties in the NFL, right up there with holding penalties.

Droford 02-20-2015 10:05 PM

Droford's realignment plan

LA Raiders to NFC West
St Louis Rams to AFC South
Houston Texans to AFC West
Jacksonville Jaguars to NFC South
New Orleans Saints to AFC South

New Divisions
West
AFC Chargers Texans Broncos Chiefs
NFC 49ers Raiders Seahawks Cardinals

South
AFC Rams Saints Titans Colts
NFC Jaguars Buccaneers Falcons Panthers

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-20-2015 11:25 PM

That would give the Jags a fighting chance for once.

poopfromweiner dude 02-21-2015 02:50 PM

Why yall want to change the divisions

NFC WEST was the worst division for like 6 straight years by far, been the best lately

NFC South "a joke" last two years but was bomb ass before that

Almost like...teams are constantly getting better and worse in the NFL

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-22-2015 12:31 AM

If they share the stadium they might have to. Can't have two teams in the same division sharing the same stadium. Could be considered collusion otherwise.

James Steele 02-22-2015 11:15 AM

Just swap the Raiders and Rams. They've both been horrible for a decade plus.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-22-2015 11:37 AM

Emperor Smeat 02-23-2015 11:23 AM

Might know the Chargers future within the next 3 months since the city sped up work on a new package plan to try to keep the team in San Diego.

The city originally wanted until September to work on a package while the Chargers refused since that would have given the Rams way too much time to get their own LA plan done. Also likely worried the Raiders would drop out of their sharing deal if the wait was too long.

That's actually really awesome. They really need to start enforcing stuff like this more, instead of screwing the taxpayers to pay for this kind of thing

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-25-2015 01:15 PM

Tax payer money is also a tactic to get fans to think they have more of an investment in the team. Stadiums that get funded by tax payer money should have some sort of discount program for the people in the city and state to keep price tickets down for them.

Dez got arrested years ago for hitting his biological mom during a fight. If that's what the video is... it's already known about. And he didn't deny it. Unless there's something WAY more to it like him holding a gun to her head or something then it doesn't make sense to punish him now for it.

If the NFL makes PI calls 15 yard penalty there won't be any reason to throw the ball deep anymore, defensive players can just mug a receiver after 15 yards to keep em from catching the ball.

#1-norm-fan 02-26-2015 02:25 AM

I was actually kinda thinking something along those lines. Obviously no one is gonna shy away from throwing it deep now and obviously the defender is still gonna try to make a play and not just give up 15 yards every time... but if the defender is really out of position and knows he's fucked, the rule would basically reward them if they commit a penalty. I don't like it.
