Lucha Underground also looking at a lot of negative stuff in the near future. Talks between them and JR broke down, going to lose a lot of steam because of the long delay between seasons, could be looking at some bad financial problems soon, and plans for non-tv touring likely being dropped. Viewership also being nowhere what they want or expected in the US (mostly due to Hispanics and tv wrestling fans being more WWE only viewers). |
Holy frosty ball sacks I've just realized i only enjoy any wrestling on the Monday before Mania and the one after and spend the rest of the year pretending it good
fecking 25 years later! |

Missy Hyatt is looking rough.
Melissa Hiatt, aka Missy Hyatt, was arrested on March 26, 2015 in Tallahassee, Florida for grand theft. She was booked into the Leon County Jail and released the following day. Additional details concerning her arrest have not been publicly released. Reminds me of the whole finisher stealing fad that was prevalent in 2000-2004, when it was happening in every big match. Would be cool to see it come back in a much more moderate fashion. |
TNA situation almost sounds like they have a Jim Herd on their hands.

Seriously, though, the last three decades have really caught up to Missy. And tackled her hard enough to draw unnecessary roughness flags. Need a palate cleanser now... Quote:

this is news to me. I don't see Eddie's image being plastered anywhere.
WWE owns the rights to the footage. good luck with that one. http://www.tmz.com/2015/04/19/eddie-...h-using-image/ The WWE is cashing in on Eddie "Hot Stuff" Gilbert even though he's been dead for 20 years ... at least according to his family, which is dragging the league to court to get a cut of the action. According to docs ... Eddie's dad, Tommy Gilbert, is in charge of the estate and says the WWE is plastering his son's image and likeness all over TV and other media platforms without permission -- and, more importantly, without paying them a dime. Tommy says old wrestling footage of Eddie -- a pro from '79 until his death of a heart attack in '95 -- is being used to promote the WWE. Interestingly, Eddie's fam isn't suing to block use of the footage -- they just want a judge to force the WWE to fork over a share of its profits, plus damages. A WWE rep tells us, "Through the years, WWE has acquired the legal rights to library footage of various former wrestling organizations including Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Mid-Southern Wrestling among many others. WWE has made substantial investments to acquire these copyrighted works and has the legal right to use them." The rep adds, "Similar cases in the past have been unsuccessful, and we expect this case to be dismissed." |
knobs, pretty sure he was paid for being booked. It's like Cena getting his Mania cheque then asking to be paid again because it was repeated on the Network or released on DVD etc
|
Yeah, unless they start making action figures and t-shirts I don't see how thay have a case.

WWE.com had an interesting article about the 5 guys they'd want to see answer Cena's challenge.
Sami Zayn - Teased as a possible "Face of WWE vs Face of NXT" match. RVD Neville Kurt Angle - Throwback to Cena answering Angle's invitational for his debut Sting http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/who-sho...lenge-27307599 |

Care to guess why? |

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Assuming that wasn't intentional, seems like either he was meant to do a flip or the rope tangling spot but instead got stuck because of his fat belly. Not even a big boot by the other guy could dislodge him. |

Seriously. I hope everything gets sorted out and no one ends up hurt. |
Ron Wright and brother Don were so damn great in their day. Two of the best pure heels ever imho.
an older Ron Wright was phenomenal as a manager in Smoky Mountain Wrestling as well. may this time be as painless as possible for him. :( http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-t...nd-ends-season --Very sad to report that Ron Wright, one of the all-time greats of East Tennessee Wrestling, has entered hospice car. He's been ill for some time. Wright was a top heel in the 60s and 70s and later became a manager for Smoky Mountain Wrestling of the Dirty White Boy. taken from the official program of Smoky Mountain Wrestling's Night Of The Legends (August 5,1994---Knoxville Civic Coliseum) Ron & Don Wright Ron & Don Wright were more than a tag team, they were an institution. The perennial Tennessee tag team champions, they faced and defeated every team to come through the area for years, and their fame spread far and wide in wrestling circle--if you planned to come to East Tennessee to wrestle, you knew you'd have to face the Wright brothers. So well known were they in this area that newspaper headlines simply called them by their first names. But as great a team as they were, they were also top singles stars. The brother who took most of the spotlight was the Kingsport, the number one hillbilly , Ron Wright. Ron Wright had a reputation among the wrestlers as the meanest man who ever lived. The fans thought he was the toughest wrestler in history. And it was universally agreed on that he was the most hated man walking on two legs. If he wasn't fighting wrestlers, he was being stabbed or shot at by fans! But he survived it all, and kept on winning. Who can forget the feud with Whitey Caldwell, which saw the two men main event in singles and tag bouts for over 12 years until Whitey's death? The brutal Tennessee chain matches which were Ron's specialty were feared by all. Ron's career was filled with titles, blood, record crowds and glory, and tonight, the wrestler turned manager reunites with his brother Don in the Knoxville Civic Coliseum for the first time in 20 years. Ron Wright vs Whitey Caldwell in a bloody chain match http://media.ancientfaces.com/images...ell-412700.jpg Ron and Don Wright with manager Sam Bass http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...fan/img275.jpg Ron Wright https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...741d20c420.jpg |
RIP Ron Garvin

Rugged Ron Wright RIP. How many matches did he have with Bobby Jaggers?

who can forget the feud with Whitey Caldwell
I know I can't |

They managed to make that feud last and fresh for 12 plus years. It was legendary in the state of Tennessee. you can mock all you want but he is a legend to those in the know. Ron and Don Wright were one of the greatest heel teams ever. |
I want to know OwenBrowns thoughts on this. I only remember Wright as a wheel-chaired manager to the Dirty White Boy in SMW from watching on streams. Surprised he's lasted that long he looked like shit in 1994.
