If they do Rockstar Spud right we could have something with him an Enzo setting off 205 Live's main events on the house show loop.

They signed Spud?

Anybody Thrilla 12-13-2017 01:19 AM

I really enjoyed Spud in his role as EC3's bitch.

#1-norm-fan 12-13-2017 01:40 AM

Spud was pretty awesome in whatever role he was in whenever I'd catch TNA. Guy's a great performer.

Anybody Thrilla 12-13-2017 01:56 AM

Even that Hornswoggle stuff was perversely entertaining.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-13-2017 02:31 AM

What are they gonna make 105 live?

Anybody Thrilla 12-13-2017 02:38 AM

To be you for a moment, you only have to be under 205 lbs. to compete on the show, so there would be no need for 105 Live.

Such a letdown was expecting Spud MacKenzie:-\

Simple Fan 12-13-2017 11:20 AM

Spud will be great on 205 live. Think he'd be perfect to start out in Gabba Gulacks role as Enzos right hand man and then turn him face eventually.

Anybody Thrilla 12-13-2017 11:24 AM

Have Gulak be Enzo's right hand man and have Spud be Gulak's right hand man at the same time. That would be hilarious.

Simple Fan 12-13-2017 11:28 AM

Hope he keeps his name though.

Daniel Bryan looked like a child compared to Batista and you still got your DNA all over the place over him. Suddenly you're worried about a guy looking too weak/small compared to others?

Yikes. Didn't know TJP was THAT much of a knob.

Cool King 12-13-2017 04:23 PM

Actually, that video reminds me, yesterday I stumbled upon an image of Ryback hanging out with a pornstar.

I then found out that she's now his new co-host on his podcast.

Mr. Nerfect 12-13-2017 04:35 PM

I'm really surprised that TJP stays employed with some of that shit. Like, how do the women feel with him being around? And what about their sponsors and shit? Like, this misogynist, anti-progressive thing isn't really in-line with their company philosophy these days.

Simple Fan 12-13-2017 04:42 PM

Is he still on the roster? Don't watch 205 live but don't feel like he's been on Raw for a bit. Guy seems like a little bitch though.

Emperor Smeat 12-13-2017 04:59 PM

Hasn't wrestled on tv since mid-October although him being a wanker again on Twitter probably won't do him any favors for improving his tv time status.

screech 12-13-2017 05:15 PM

Think they're just letting him ride out his contract at this point? He's not featured enough/a big enough name right now for "being a shithead on twitter" to get him canned. But it is enough of a reason to not be on TV.

screech 12-13-2017 05:21 PM

But paying him to not do much is weird too, so who the hell knows

Simple Fan 12-13-2017 05:25 PM

Probably don't want to hear about or see all the whiny post he'd make on twitter if they released him. Maybe he'd go watch a sporting event and stay off twitter if they did.

Fignuts 12-13-2017 05:31 PM

I mean....I can kind of see where he's coming from. I've said a bunch of times that for all its benefits, the internet has completely ruined us, culturally and socially.

But implying that net nuetrality could help fix that is rather silly.

NXT managed to generate around 841k viewers for the special tv episode on USA Network this week.

For some comparisons, it did around a third of RAW's numbers this week.

If Smackdown is usually seen as the floor of WWE's tv audience, might be possible to argue NXT is the absolute floor of WWE's tv viewership. 800k is the hardcore base, another 1.6-1.8 million is general base, and anything additional afterwards are mainly casual viewers.

I'm gonna be that guy and say fuck that dude. Fuck him for the same reason why I say fuck the dumb ass who thought it would be a good idea that a jobber should get mic time.

A jobber's job isn't to get over. A jobber's job is to put the other guy and their offense over. If he gets over as a result of taking a good ass beating, a la Barry Horrowitz or the Mulkeys, that's one thing. But they shouldn't get mic time, because they shouldn't have anything to say. They shouldn't have anything to say because they are not the star.

That dude's scream popped the announcers, and they talked about his screaming instead of how terrifying the Bludgeon Brothers are. So, in essence, he put himself over. And, as an enhancement talent, he is only supposed to put over his opponent. In essence, IT ISN'T ABOUT THEM!

And I can promise you, he is going to start trying to get bookings as "The Screamer" or whatever. And dumb mark promoters will give him those bookings because they're doing it wrong.

And the shame is, we need jobbers in Wrestling. More than people realize.

Fignuts 12-14-2017 10:00 PM

It's not his fault the announcers are terrible.

Fignuts 12-14-2017 10:02 PM

Never used Type 0 Negative Kane theme still the best.

Emperor Smeat 12-14-2017 10:10 PM

Yeah I'd blame the announcers more for putting the focus on the jobber's scream because they couldn't resist finding it funny. They could have easily mentioned the jobber being afraid of heights to sell how high the powerbomb was or emphasis it as part of the sheer terror by the Bludgeon Bros.

Vastardikai 12-14-2017 10:11 PM

That's a different problem altogether. But the whole "Jobbers trying to get over" thing started with Ryback. Then Braun had the same thing happen, and for some reason we got James Ellsworth out of it.

But this is ultimately a problem with modern WWE as a whole? Where the jobbers are more interesting than the "stars." And whose fault is that? The writers for making the "stars" boring and the "stars" for allowing themselves to be portrayed as boring.

Vastardikai 12-14-2017 10:46 PM

If that was the outcome, I'd probably have not given it a second thought. But at the same time, the terrified expression he had upon seeing them was enough to put them over as scary. The scream in that event was unnecessary.

And it's not just on him. He, the announcers, AND creative should understand that his role is to get killed and make the guy(s) doing the killing look good.

And before anyone makes reference to Horrowitz patting trademark patting himself on the back, that's different. If he was doing something stupid to set himself up to get hoisted by his own petard, that is performing the role of making the guy doing the killing look good.

Now, if Harper and Rowan were given the time to be perplexed by it, and try to get him to scream like that again, only to be denied because he's unconscious, THAT would have been interesting and entertaining. And it would make them look sadistic.

Hell, Colin Delaney still takes a good ass beating. That's the perfect role for him.

Indy shows like that are a blast to go to

I didn't see that jobber's scream as him putting himself over.

I saw it as him doing his job.

The Bludgeon Brothers are supposed to be two big scary dudes who will destroy you if you stand in front of them.

The Jobber's scream sells this, as The Bludgeon Brothers are so scary that they managed to make a grown man scream like a little girl.

If anything, the "problem" (if you think there is a problem) is with Corey Graves. Tom Phillips though, I felt was quite professional about it by not laughing at it and only mentioning it once but also kayfabe scolding Graves for laughing.

If Graves didn't laugh uncontrollably and make such a big deal out of it by mentioning it about two or three times, then it would've just passed us all by as "something a jobber done" and let us know that "the Bludgeon Brothers are scary".

The scream should only have been mentioned once, by Phillips and that would've be good enough to help the audience establish The Bludgeon Brothers as being scary.

Also, finally!

Well done, should have been a paint can for the final spot but it was probably what what they were going for.

Norman the Lunatic wasn't so bad. Bastion Booger sucked ass.

Shisen Kopf 12-16-2017 02:19 PM

Bastion Booger had great entrance music though

I have just been doing dumb universe stuff to prepare for streaming dumb Universe stuff. Randomised both the rosters, then randomised tag teams and a stable for each brand.

Smackdown has Sheamus and Aleistar Black (Obviously called Black & White), Raw's stable is Dash Wilder, Noam Dar, Randy Orton and Ric Flair (Which I called 'Disproving Evolution')

Raw also got Braun and Rhyno which I had no idea for a name for, but I did give them custom theme music

Had to do some attire editing to make the random Smackdown stable work, but hey, it does.

Oh...perhaps I should have been more clear, I was referring to my favorite theme of Kane, but the one you mentioned is also good.

Rumor going around the net hints at Velveteen Dream failed a Wellness Policy test short afterwards Takeover: WarGames.

Would be the rare case where WWE keeps the announcement a secret than go public like with most violations. Also means he was really careless since the threshold to get busted is way higher than drug testing in sports in general.

Also rumored to have been triggered because of coke and not roids.

GD 12-18-2017 05:08 AM

He's really living the gimmick, isn't he?

Sepholio 12-18-2017 05:22 AM

You have to be really really unlucky to get popped on a piss test for cocaine. That crap is out of your system ridiculously fast compared to other drugs.
