I hated "Sad and Conflicted Big Show".
It felt like every time you saw him, he was crying. |
Usually over something stupid.

Actually, thinking about it now, I can't remember if he actually cried or not when his dad died or when The Big Boss Man stole his casket.
I'm hoping he did, as he cried like a little bitch when he bumped into AJ, so if he didn't cry when his dad died, then he really needs to get his priorities straight. |
When he bumped into AJ? Please elaborate.
|
He accidentally ran into AJ on SmackDown and she fell down.
He then cried uncontrollably. |
AJ Lee that is.
Not Styles. |
Hahahaha, he cried cause she fell down? Glorious.
|
ahahaha found it on YT
|
I was just about to post it. :y:
|
The crowd with the "she's ok" chants. Probably just so Big Show stops crying like a bitch.
|
Hope that Batista runs through all the internet favorites besides AJ.

The week before, Show is pretty much sobbing over having to punch Dusty Rhodes. The next week he straight up punches Miz the first chance he gets and leaves the ring more pissed at doing Steph's bidding again than hurting Miz. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7UbuLdZHh0c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EeI8xXvPrH8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Wish my "Daniel Bryan uses the D.E.N.N.I.S. system on AJ Lee" video wasn't taken down from YouTube due to copyright......

Kurt Angle pretty much confirmed rumors of Jason Jordan getting the "Son of Angle" push was only as a practical joke made at Angle's expense. Might explain why the storyline has been terrible since they probably never really thought beyond the initial ribbing.
Quote:
|
Imagining Vince going to the writer's room and yelling "Make Jason Jordan Kurt Angle's son! It'll be a hilarious prank!", and the writers all exchanging glances like "this dude is nuts", but then just nodding and saying "Great idea, Vince!"
|
Quote:
Even the slow pitch "gimmie" of this angle being a ploy by Jason Jordan to get some noteriety with a heel turn and a match against Kurt doesn't even sound like a given, with Kurt "hoping" it leads to a match instead of keeping that close to the vest because it is an actual goal of the story that is written in. Nope. Just "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if Kurt has an illigitimate mulatto son? Let's do that!" with no plan on where to go from there. |
Doesn't surprise me. I mean, the angle didn't come with any sort of push. Unless you consider losing to The Miz and having "showcase" matches that don't get anywhere a push.
|
Did Shelton Benjamin always look this big? Almost everyone on the tag division looks smaller than him.
|
I'm waiting for the "Oh, the DNA paternity testing results were for Chad Gable, not Jason Jordan!" angle.
|
Jason Jordan can then go to SmackDown and team with Shelton Benjamin, so we can have Shelton Benjamin and Shelton Benjamin V2 as a team.
|
The team name can be "Benjamin & Jordan", so Vince can get his laughs in at the abbreviation of the team being "BJ".

For real though, it's just that the average height of guys has shrunk over the last decade so returning people look taller than they used to. I always assumed Drew was 6'3 or 6'4 somewhere around there, but he comes back to NXT and he's actually 6'7" towering over the current NXT roster.
|
Im sure Im in the minority, but Im liking Jason Jordans Character. Hes playing a wimp thats having to act tough in front of his dad to perfection. If they turn him heel they could end up having something here

Yeah, everybody is smaller now. And no one is allowed to promo, so even shit promos from yesteryear are stellar talkers now.

The Rock is not a small guy. Always seemed much smaller than he was. Dude's like 6'5.

According to PWI, Matt Hardy is set to become the legal owner of the "Broken" trademark in a couple of weeks since it appears Anthem is no longer interested in opposing it.
Anthem tried to save some face during an interview with Sports Illustrated saying they have given permission for WWE to use the gimmick even though its becoming more apparent they never really owned it. Sports Illustrated also reported Matt will only be using a "Broken"-like character in the WWE likely because WWE wants some rights to the gimmick after Hardy leaves. |

Even with their current financial mess, Anthem has a lot more money to contest the trademark than Hardy does especially with WWE not getting involved.
More likely they just don't have the paperwork needed to actually oppose it and probably would have been rejected if they used the same paperwork done for their own filings. The way the case has been going, it was leaning towards Matt as the owner because Anthem waited too long to file a trademark and Hardys using the gimmick outside of Impact. |
This is so much fuss about fucking nothing.
|
It's not nothing if it's over. Doesn't really matter if you like it or not, guy has people chanting "delete" in every arena he goes to. Clearly money to be made off it.
|
Figgy is right...but it does nothing for me so in that i agree with noid.

It might sell a few t-shirts or something, but wouldn't The Hardys already be doing fine in that department? With Hardy as as singles guy, why not give it a shot? You need to stick your finger in the air and see which way the wind is blowing -- but the people still watching wrestling aren't trend-setters and aren't really the sort of people whose opinions you should be listening to, by and large. |
Oh no, it's going to be God awful.
Broken Matt Hardy from the team thst brings you Bray Wyatt promos.... I'm shuddering just thinking about it. |
Yeah, it will probably be bad no matter what side of the fence you fall on the broken gimmick, but I think enough people will buy the merch regardless, and that's all that matters to WWE.
|
The Hardy Boyz returning to the WWE has got 22,000,000+ views on YouTube. The Cleasning of Jeff Hardy hasn't reached 10% of that. Just to put things into perspective a bit. And everyone with access to YouTube can see all these videos, mind you. I think internet fans kind of go into a bubble with this sort of stuff.
I actually think the WWE will do a better job than TNA did with it, or could do with it. I think they will trust Matt Hardy's "creativity." I just think it will suck. More people will be subjected to it than ever, and they will ask "What the fuck were you geeks going on about?". If I am wrong, I will readily admit it. |
OR it will actually be hilarious watching it fail, and it will fit more within the boundaries of reality, so people new to it will actually find it pretty great, but "purists" will hate it and lament that Matt is not a main eventer, but he'll have hit his true ceiling and will be doing more significant work than he was doing in TNA.
|
I don't care if he's a main eventer or not, if the segments are good I'll just watch the segments much like I was doing with the TNA version. But considering most of WWE is bad right now and I very much doubt they will let Matt Hardy do what he wants since they script everyone word for word.
Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but to me it feels like if some Hollywood studio came along and said "Hey, we're remaking The Room! We even got Tommy Wiseau!". We know it's going to suck, but not in the same way that made the original so endearing. |
Just read Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss are BFFs in real life.
They must look hilarious together. Jax is exactly my height and Bliss is exactly my ex's height. Not to mention the weight difference between the two. |

Rumor going around the net is Lio Rush might be getting released soon by the WWE. Basis for the rumor involves him suddenly removing all WWE related stuff from his Twitter account which usually tends to be a sign someone got released or is about to get released.

With the WWE machine behind it, I think they can make a lot of money off it. We are still the 2% of the fanbase. The WWE's main demographic is still kids, and they'll go for anyone WWE tells them to. |
According to the Observer, the reason Anthem dropped out from the Broken trademark dispute was due to Matt Hardy having the paperwork needed to reject any claim Anthem made for the gimmick.
Anthem also felt it was a lot easier and a way to save face by giving their talents all rights to their gimmicks than be embarrassed in court and likely set a precedent where all their talents would own their gimmicks. Quote:

There's no detriment to having Broken Matt in WWE. If it goes over, it makes a bit of money for the company and Hardy, helps him regain some relevance and, at the very least, throws an interesting character into the mix. If it bombs, well, Hardy was going nowhere anyway.

The Edge and Christian podcast is really, really good.
Also, was this Starrcade event on the Network? |
Nope. At least not yet.

No, but anything worth seeing was shown on wwe.com

Why Starrcade though?

I love me some Iconic Duo.

Kairi Sane is pretty tight too.

John Cena has apparently been posting Watchmen-related images on his Instagram.... perhaps he will be in the HBO TV show?!
