I've updated to the X Box 360 and have been playing NCAA Football 14. Not a fan of gaming these days and not being able to play the game as soon as I pop it in the console.

I dont know where to put this questions so i'll do it here.
I recently had to buy a replacement AV cable and AC Power adapter . I paid 8.99 on ebay. I havent tried it out yet, but the power adapter is 9V and I thought the original SNES power supply was 10v. I have the very first model of SNES. Is 9V plenty enough or can this fuck my old system? |
There is a good chance you could fuck it regardless of voltage. Go online and get yourself an original snes power adapter. They're not expensive or hard to find.

Finished the main questline of the Blood & Wine DLC last night (I already did Heart of Stone) and apparently I got the bad ending... But I personally think it was the best ending.

I'm committing to playing a lot of Red Dead redemption for Christmas Break from school ( I teach middle school) for two weeks. Forgot that Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out Jan 29 (which we have discussed here before) but once that comes out, that will be front and center in terms of what I play till I beat the game

My god Ubisoft needs to just end the Assassins' Creed series or they need to spend like 3-4 years working on the next one.

I hate to admit this, but I never played Super Mario World. And I found my SNES and picked up some games and i'm playing Super Mario World and to be honest, It's not easy. Took me an hour to figure out how to get out of the first ghost house. I'm pretty sure when i was a kid, i got stuck at the first Ghost House and gave up and played NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat.

Picked up Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon for X360 recently as I'd never played any of the games in the series but was always curious about them. Definitely weird but kinda interesting, I guess. I hope to eventually pick up 2017.

I noticed that I had Half-Life 2 in my Steam library, so I've started that again. It has been years since I last played this game (maybe 5-6 years).

Dying Light. It's been in my backlog for a while and although I've heard good things, after 8 hours or so it's just not grabing me. The missions/fetch quests are completly dull and not at all interesting.

Main event of all games comes out January 29th: Kingdom Hearts 3. I'm trying to wrap up all gaming that I am doing right now because once that game comes out, it's all that every day until I am done with it.
I honestly cannot wait for the game. So many years in the making. Just remembering how 1 ended, the entire game of 2 and everything in between. So many great battles. Should be an awesome conclusion to the series |

Still playing WWE 2k17. Unless someone on PS4 has made a Robbie Rotten on WWE 2k19, I probably won't switch. (I've been playing 2k17's universe mode with him so long, it'd feel so wrong to NOT play as him in any other game.)

I very rarely give up on a game I've paid for, but I think it's time to give up on Dying Light. The missions are repetative and boring and combat is needlessly hard, even on 'normal' difficulty. I've picked up some decent weapons but you just get swamped.
Not sure which to pick up first out of Kingdom Hearts 3 and RE2, I'll be going in completely cold on KH3 but I fucking love Disney so even though I haven't played any of the earlier ones I might go with that. |
Went back to Resident Evil 0, Gonna finish it and the Remake before 2 drops on Friday, I might try Kingdom Hearts 3 at some point. Wish that collection was on the one.

Tried out the RE2 femake demo, same time limit gimmick as the original game, pretty cool. Saw a Licker. Pretty cool.

Was playing some BL2 this weekend and on side quest "Clan War: End of the Rainbow", upon killing the Bagman he dropped the super rare Pot O' Gold shield. It isn't anything spectacular in and of itself, since all its special effect does is occasionally add $1 to your character when shot if it's equipped. It's among the rarest drops in the game, though, and as such I had long coveted one to store in the stash or the safe in Sanctuary as a novelty and a reminder that after nearly 7 years of the game being out, I FINALLY GOT THE DAMN THING! And it was on TVHM, too, not even lv 72 to OP8 UVHM or UVHM in general. Honestly a better feeling than winning the Plat(iNUM) trophy for the game.

Finally got a copy of Earth Defense Force 2017 and am about halfway through. Will probably start on 2025 immediately after, good reason to give the old reliable 360 a workout.
After that, if I still feel invested in the story, I *might* consider picking up 4.1 and the recently released (December 11, 2018) Earth Defense Force 5. Of course, though, I also still have Insect Armageddon for 360. |

Looks, feels, and plays exactly like the first one. Only differences if it's in Washington D.C., which looks like a smaller map than NYC. And, constant, CONSTANT, calls for backup/join requests from other players. Way to annoying. |
Started playing Nioh last weekend, it's not as smooth as Souls but it's a pretty good take on the genre. Pretty humorous that the game starts with you
SPOILER: show Bosses are way less forgiving than Souls, at least three so far have one shotted me on their opening move which makes it a lot harder to learn their moveset. I do really like that one boss is a sea monster that looks like the map placeholder from Ni No Kuni, and speaking of NNK(2), the loot system here is even more overwhelming to me and I have no idea what half of the stats or blacksmithing options even mean. I know I have too much gear though. I unlocked that hard as balls duel mission from the demo and I still can't beat the fucker. This game is seriously tough. I like it. |
Going to wrap up my Hard mode run of Ace Combat 7 tonight. Then, switch on over to Far Cry: New Dawn.
