Apparently the main reason Dusty's son Dustin Rhodes took the Goldust gimmick was him not realizing what the word androgynous meant. He was willing to take any gimmick presented to him after leaving WCW and regretted the decision after he looked up the word in a dictionary afterwards.

That's actually a bit of a revelation. I think a portrait has been painted of Goldust as a guy who was willing to say "yes" to pretty much everything. I mean, he was still a trooper, but the idea that he only accepted because he wasn't sure what it was is pretty funny.

Apparently the Observer's Dave Meltzer spent part of yesterday contacting people he knows in the WWE that normally defend all of Vince's booking decisions to get an idea why Kane squashed Balor on RAW.

Turns out nobody had any good idea why it was done and likely just another spontaneous decision by Vince who felt like having a Kane squash match and picked Balor only because he could.

When he dialed back the ridiculous shtick, Duggan actually impressed me on one of those panel shows the WWE did one time. I think it may have been for a Royal Rumble because he won the first. I wouldn't mind him being given a trial as a commentator for Main Event or something.

Remember, a lot of the stuff the Kliq did they admitted to doing it because THEY thought it was cool/funny, and some of it, the crowd reaction was a side-effect. That isn't neccessarily an exclusive point of view to those six guys. The info is way more prevalent now than then, but I'm sure it was more for The Elite/Bullet Club/AJ/Gallows & Anderson than it was for anyone in the crowd, especially considering the match it was after.

He doesn't really need to be consistent on the issue, does he? I was going to call this the career highlight for Emma. Honestly, I think she was always more comfortable in NXT. I could actually see her being offered an NXT deal, which would obviously be less money, but also involve less travel, etc. She could be a bit of an attraction for them. I cannot believe Konnor still has a job with the WWE. Good for him, but the dude started his career in 2001, went through DSW, quit the company, came back, has done very little since, and is still employed 12 years into his working relationship with them. It actually makes me appreciate him a lot more -- he must do something right.

Damien Sandow had a similar road when he was in the WWE.

Joined in 2002, got released a few years later, rejoined the WWE, and then became a main roster regular in 2012. Only difference was he had a very brief stay on the main roster with a different gimmick before his first release.

Live Audio Wrestling is taking a hiatus after most of the hosts recently left the show.

I think WWE will just buy them out soon. Impact will be dissolved, a few talents brought in, a special about its history produced and the PPVs uploaded to the Network.
