Corey Graves is really good.

That might be thread worthy news.

MOD POST:

Backyard threads are unlocked, I know they mean a lot to some here, I just needed to show you how dangerous I am and what wasn't shown was the pedo activity in the threads I locked. You all know how intolerable that is and now everyone is safe

I didn't mess with the nudies though.

Leave Tazz Dan alone, if someone is practicing pedo behavior then let me know.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-03-2015 07:00 PM

Can you just mash them all back together into one thread?

Heisenberg 04-03-2015 07:04 PM

won't that confuse all the different storylines and shit?

Probably, but I'd just merge them anyway. Then moving forward everything will be spot on :y:

Mr. Nerfect 04-03-2015 08:21 PM

Daniel Bryan vs. Shinsuke Nakamura being teased is really fucking cool. No way the WWE does it, as I doubt they would really want to give New Japan World any publicity, but there could be a case made for it. The WWE wants the Network to launch strong in Japan, and having an Intercontinental Champion vs. Intercontinental Champion match would be a great way to get more good will in Japan, where they could sign up quite a few more subscribers, if they find a way to make their product really appeal to that market. I'm not sure if having one Japanese guy in development and putting one Japanese guy into the Hall of Fame achieves that goal.

Plus, Shinsuke Nakamura is really awesome and could actually get over stateside.

Mr. Nerfect 04-03-2015 08:21 PM

The WWE wants to talk about altruism being the future of marketing -- how about giving some charity to New Japan and pro-wrestling fans?

Jordan 04-03-2015 08:29 PM

Spot on Noid. It would be legendary.

Mr. Nerfect 04-03-2015 08:39 PM

It might also create a hot bed for wrestling content. Maybe I'm stretching a little, but that's what people seem to want when they wish for competition to step up. Not just "more hours of wrestling on television," but a better product that elevates itself. Bryan vs. Nakamura could be like hot-shotting the industry. Not on a major mainstream worldwide level, but in the sense that exposing some Americans to New Japan might make them care more about wrestling, and be more willing to become a consumer of content for it. And by working with New Japan, you can really boost the Network's presence in Japan, which is all the WWE really cares about at this point.

Plus, if Vince (more likely Triple H and Stephanie at this point) are working with New Japan, then it leaves Jeff Jarrett in the dark with them a bit, and Vince probably hates Jarrett more than he hates those Japanese rasslers.

Mr. Nerfect 04-03-2015 08:43 PM

New Japan loves sending its talent to get some international exposure to season them a bit. Once Itami is main roster, having some young star head down to NXT before heading back to New Japan would be a pretty big deal for New Japan, and creates a further buzz around the NXT product. The WWE getting the Bullet Club for just a very short stint, without jeopardizing their entire New Japan careers (say there's interest in doing an AJ Styles match), also becomes a better arrangement for all with some sort of talent exchange program in place. And NXT guys could use another place to work in order to get them experience in front of different crowds and working different styles.

Jordan 04-03-2015 08:43 PM

There is a possibility that it could happen, WWE did do a supershow in Japan in the early 90's with NJPW and AJPW. I doubt that it will. It's a shame WWE is so resistant to doing this type of cross promotion. Their ticket sales in Japan have been pretty sub par in the past decade, this could help boost them and make the trip worthwhile. What is the harm? They don't need to promote it on Raw, just keep it simple.

Jordan 04-03-2015 08:58 PM

Hey guys I found a Roman Reigns theme with lyrics.

I had no clue how they were doing in Japan, so thanks for sharing that. Japan is a market that has got so much potential for them (like a few million Network subscriptions), but they just need to work out how to appeal to it. When I heard AJPW was in trouble, the thought did cross through my mind that the WWE could work out something with them, just to create more competition with New Japan and give them a battle getting World started up.

Droford 04-03-2015 09:09 PM

Just do it with NXT

Mr. Nerfect 04-03-2015 09:11 PM

Do you mean WWE vs. NXT, or New Japan vs. NXT? Because that second one could be HOT!

Jordan 04-03-2015 09:12 PM

You know what, as awesome of an idea as Nakamaura vs Bryan champ vs champ, the easier way to get the exposure is to book Itami vs Bryan. Easy.

Jordan 04-03-2015 09:13 PM

And feature Fin Balor

NJPW vs NXT

Then it basically allows them to not mention it outside of NXT on the WWE Network until they realize how huge it'd be.

I'm not sure WWE would sweat NJPW so much given the language and time barriers.I get that NJ World could be viewed as a threat to their network but I think more likely people sub to world also sub to the network unless therye wrestling snobs

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-03-2015 09:36 PM

Shiekybaby Documentary now on Netflix Streaming. Watch it to prove you are not a no good jabronie like Bramblair.

Fignuts 04-03-2015 09:53 PM

I would give my left nut for a WWE/NJPW interpromotional event.

Fignuts 04-03-2015 09:53 PM

Seriously.

Long as I still have one, I'll take Nakamura vs Bryan and Tanahashi vs Cena all day.

Heisenberg 04-03-2015 10:11 PM

Would that involve AJ Styles?

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-03-2015 10:16 PM

Undertaker Vs. AJ Styles. Taker wins with the Faithbreaker. Let's hope AJ knows how to take it right. Wakka wakka wakka.

Rollins v.s. Styles would be fuckin awesome

Fignuts 04-04-2015 12:03 AM

Okada vs Orton

Goto vs Sheamus

Naito vs Ziggler

Nakanishi vs Ryback

Lucha Dragons vs Time Splitters or Forever Hooligans

WWE doesn't really have a tag team that's established enough to go up against Kojima and Tenzan. Maybe if they brought the Dudleys back.

But yeah, so many potentially amazing matches given the talent the two companies possess. Shame it will never happen.

Fignuts 04-04-2015 12:06 AM

Also, my greatest dream match has always been Taker vs Muta. Match itself probably wouldn't compare to a lot of other dream matches, but the spectacle would be fucking incredible.

Fignuts 04-04-2015 12:18 AM

Honestly shows how fucking retarded TNA is. They had access to Muta on a handful of occasions but always just put him in throw away tag matches instead of in a dream match with angle, or continuing his rivalry with sting.
