Vaudevillains in on the preshow?

I wish the "Daniel Bryan on Bears" vid didn't keep getting taken off of YouTube.

Rich Mark Henry would actually be cool

I imagine him smoking cigars and offering to be Reigns manager..

Any excuse Mizark gets to wear that salmon suit again, its all good.

Hope its Balor but will probably be Neville, he has been in NXT the longest of the likely callups so I'd assume it be him.

Chris Jericho recently spoke with IGN and was asked if Roman Reigns was ready to main event WrestleMania. Here is what he had to say…

“Look, like I’ve said before, if you’re going to give someone a shot, give them a shot. There’ve been tons of guys who when they’ve been put in the main event at WrestleMania might not have been quote unquote ready. Who’s to say who’s ready and who’s not? Let’s see how the crowd reacts when they get there. But all I know is that Roman Reigns was everybody’s favorite guy until the Royal Rumble. And then everyone turned on Roman Reigns. It’s so funny how two days before, and the year before, everybody loved Roman Reigns. Everybody. All the fans did. And don’t tell me that you didn’t because they were all saying ‘Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns …what? Daniel Bryan didn’t win the Royal Rumble? We hate Roman Reigns! Boo!’ And meanwhile, ever since then – I mean, we did house shows in Calgary and Edmonton and it was like Beatlemania. They were going nuts for him. And that was a week after the Royal Rumble. So I think that he is ready, as much as anyone can be ready in this day and age. So let’s see how it goes. I mean the match he had with Daniel Bryan at Fastlane was incredible. And you can’t tell me that it was all because of Daniel Bryan. Really? Because I always heard in the business that it takes two. And I think I’ve proven myself to be a fairly decent worker, so if I’m telling you it takes two, I think every fan should shut the hell up and listen to what I’m saying. He did a great job of living up to his end of the bargain and he’ll do the same thing at WrestleMania. They will leave no stone unturned to make that a great match. They will get all the benefits. All the bells and whistles. And as long as they can hold it together, I think it’s going to be great.”

A Finn Balor Wrestlemania entrance could be epic.

Even if he wins the first Battle Royal. He'll probably just be in the ring after they get back from whatever.

He could make a day(man) entrance....

Did they even do entrances for the Battle Royal last year? I don't remember...

Nope

Ultimate X match but not for the X division title. Is the X division title still a thing or are they letting it fade away like the TV title.

#1-norm-fan 03-20-2015 09:16 PM

Hadn't even thought about the fact that it's gonna be light out throughout basically the entire show until now. Gonna be weird.

Was WrestleMania 9 the only other outdoor west coast WWE event? Let's hope that's not a bad omen.

Holy shit Rock Star Spud.

Mr. Pierre 03-20-2015 09:46 PM

A lot of people feel that Taker should lose to Bray at Mania. This is a match where winning could potentially not benefit Bray IMO because:

1) it could feel very forced - Taker goes 21-0, and then loses two straight? It's sloppy seconds, and would pale in comparison's to Lesnar's win last year.

2) he would have to win the WWE Title ASAP after defeating Taker, and we all know that will not happen.

WWE needs to take this opportunity of Taker vs. Bray to create a unique Mania Moment for Wyatt. If a loss is done properly, it can propel him moreso than a victory would. I thought out a finish for the match:

-Taker goes for the chokeslam, Bray slides out, hits Sister Abigail. Taker kicks out. A few seconds later, Taker does the classic "sit up" and goes on a hot minute.

-After the hot minute, mix in some nice exchanges, Taker hits the Tombstone. This time Wyatt kicks out. Taker is on his knees with a "God dammit how did he kick out" sell. A few seconds later, Wyatt pops up with the Spider Walk which freaks Taker out.

-Taker is now on his ass backing away from Wyatt appearing legitimately scared and Wyatt is stalking him with the Spider Walk. Wyatt rolls out of the walk and starts crawling towards Taker, laughing like a maniac. Taker continues to look horrified/intimidated, but instinct takes over, Taker rips Wyatt's arm towards him, and he locks in Hell's Gate. Bray passes out as the Undertaker wins.

I think creating a moment like this accomplishes a ton:

-Passes the torch to Wyatt as the "New Face of Fear" as the fearless Undertaker displayed that he is truly afraid and also couldn't get Wyatt to tap out

-Gives Wyatt a unique and memorable WM moment making Taker back away from an opponent

-Keeps the importance of the Streak alive. Reigns being "The 1 who beat the 1 in 21-1" is the foundation for Roman's entire push. If Wyatt beats Taker before Lesnar/Reigns even happens, it hurts the credibility of Lesnar's journey as Champion since Wyatt has also beaten Taker.

I think those first two things you mentioned at the end that it would accomplish would be accomplished even better if Wyatt not only refuses to tap and scares the shit out of Taker but beats him, too.

I want Wyatt to win to regain the aura he had after last year's Royal Rumble. If Taker does win though, the passing out option is the way it should go down.

My idea for the end of the Cena-Wyatt match last year was for Cena to have Wyatt locked in the STF for a really long time and for Wyatt to eventually start to laugh hysterically and just say something creepy like "I'll see you in your dreams, John..." and then pass out IMMEDIATELY after. The ref checks on him and calls for the bell and Cena doesn't even celebrate when he stands up. He just looks down with a totally creeped out, uneasy look on his face. I feel like they could go with that here if they're intent on having Taker win.

Then have a buried alive match or a casket match main event Extreme Rules and have that be where Wyatt "buries the legend of the Undertaker forever". He can never be the one man who beat Taker at WrestleMania but he can be the one man who actually put the dead man down for good.

This would have been the best.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-20-2015 11:24 PM

Yeah what is it 3-7 for the show?

Droford 03-20-2015 11:42 PM

4-8 pm with the sunset in SF being at 7:30 which means it won't even be fully dark at the end.

Emperor Smeat 03-21-2015 12:04 AM

Really interested in how they are going to handle Taker's entrance this year. Missed out on it being cloudy by a few days which would have helped and even having Bray-Taker be in the main event likely won't be dark enough to do a regular entrance.

Could probably bring back the vulture for the entrance like Mania 9 when that was outdoors in daylight.

Dark One 03-21-2015 12:39 AM

What are you talking about, man? Undertaker's powers of darkness will cause a full solar eclipse.

Pretty sure Reigns wasn't anywhere near as loved before the rumble, as Jericho is implying. People were on him since well before that event, although it did exacerbate the situation.

Last time I liked Reigns was when he was the ass kicker of the shield. And rarely talked.

Dark One 03-21-2015 02:25 AM

Watching 2000/2001 PPVs on the Network, and seeing the promote the hell out of the XFL is great.

Ever since he came to the WWE Jericho has been a lifer there. It's no wonder he sings their praises when they've given him so much. You don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that. That said he's full of shit and either saying what he think WWE wants to hear or he's lost touch. Given some of his other recent comments I'm leaning toward a little bit of both honestly.

Damian Rey 03-21-2015 04:42 AM

Yeah, Reigns wasn't white hot before the rumble. Hell he wasn't even around. Jericho just being a company man.

Very true, but I wasn't saying he'd get his own entrance either. I simply stated that a Finn Balor Wrestlemania entrance would be epic. Because it fucking would!

XL 03-21-2015 09:34 AM

You'll notice Jericho gets a lot of current WWE talent on his podcast, where Austin, and JR don't. He's towing the company line.

Cool finish for Cena/Wyatt, would have helped his character a ton.

If Bray were to beat Taker though, he needs to be booked as an unstoppable monster from that moment forward, or else it'll be forgotten and completely pointless.

Rammsteinmad 03-21-2015 01:04 PM

Finn Balor wrestlemania entrance would be incredible! But not this year! Get him on the main roster and give him a bit of build first.
