DLVH84 10-07-2012 03:41 PM

Well, first he was Robbie Walker when he first came to WCW in 1992 and was supposed to be Ron Simmons' protege, but when it was time for the Clash of the Champions that November, Walker was gone and was replaced by the debuting 2 Cold Scorpio (better choice for a partner, I believe). A year later, he came back under the name Bobby Walker and was jobbed out a lot.

I think the "Hard Work" nickname came in 1996 is when he really tried to move up on the roster and had Teddy Long as his manager. Hell, he was chosen to team with The Barbarian for a Lethal Lottery match at Slamboree that May, but was injured by Lex Luger, so he was replaced by the returning Diamond Dallas Page, who eventually won Battlebowl at Slamboree. Walker was then used in either dark matches or the undercard.

Shisen Kopf 10-07-2012 04:27 PM

He used to rassle in Japan as Dark American Wallet thief. Right Def leppard?

Accidentally had "wrestle talk" on in the background and it said some guy that was wrestling in Wolverhampton and was some kind of model, so I assumed CSL was going to be on the show.

Then it said he was also a rapper and thought that it most defo not.

Wishbone 10-07-2012 06:22 PM

..... I've heard so much about "Are you serious?" being awesome and funny, but this really wasn't either of those things..... Don't get me wrong I'm not in any way, shape or form complaining about WWE making fun of the IWC in fact I think that was about the only semi-funny think in this. As a whole this show seems really fucking dumb. :-\

Tommy Gunn 10-07-2012 06:25 PM

I remember the good old days when you just needed to pay for a sky sports package and you got every PPV for free.

Then they lost some of them to channel 4, and THEN they got them back and put those PPVs on sky box office, and if I believe correctly most of them are now proper PAY per view?

I haven't bought one in years, as already stated, the magic of the internet will see you right.

I think that show's awesome. I agree with it's opinion of WCW and smart marks, so what's not to love.

Curd 10-07-2012 07:28 PM

According to DDT Digest writers, Bobby Walker was "Hard Jobbing" and frequently paired with Jim Powers 1996 through 1998 before being released in the Year 2000 purge of wrestlers who no longer had screen time thanks to the demise of WCW Saturday Night.

Walker was "Hard Working" because he was a power line worker. His rope-walk clothesline finisher "Quittin' Time" was an homage to his non-wrestling profession. I can only suppose he continued servicing power lines after his WCW departure.

During the main event between Kevin Steen and Jay Lethal, Steen got into an altercation with Lethal's mother (who was at ringside), spitting on her. Lethal lost his shit and Steen walked out with Corino and Jacobs, supposedly "walking out" on ROH. After the match is ruled a no-contest, the fans go nuts, pelting the ring with garbage.

According to TMZ, Alberto Del Rio was involved in a fan incident following Saturday's Smackdown house show in Anaheim.

During the show, Del Rio did the typical heel tactic of ripping up a fan sign, which was a pro-Sheamus sign held by an eight-year-old boy. The mother accused Del Rio of bullying her son, mocking him when he began crying, and ignoring her tweets seeking an apology. She in her letter to WWE, "Take signs from adults NOT KIDS! My son was bullied by your Superstars and it is not okay."

The mother reached out to Sheamus after the incident, and Sheamus offered to send her son a signed photo and meet up with him the next time WWE is in the area. The story does not note if WWE responded to the letter or not.

Hulk Hogan appeared on The Howard Stern Show this morning and revealed that the woman in his recently leaked sex tape was Heather Clem, the wife of his best friend, Bubba the Love Sponge. Hogan said that Bubba gave him his blessing to have sex with his wife, and that the incident occurred six years ago while Hogan was still married to Linda Hogan. Hogan claims that Linda drove him to be unfaithful because she was so abusive.
TMZ reports that Bubba actually appears at the end of the video and tells his wife, "If we ever did want to retire, all we'd have to do is use this footage."

"I'm sick to my stomach right now," Hogan told TMZ upon learning about Bubba's involvement with the tape.
