... back when Ziggler was awesome. :(

Ziggler needs a female to get over or be remotely watchable.

So Corbin has a brand new theme

A great follow up to their Wrestlemania XIX match

Could barely hear that Corbin theme, but it did not sound good...... his theme seemed fine as it was......

Now this, this is awesome! I miss CM Punk so much! He's arguably in my opinion one of, if not THE, greatest talker of all time. Every promo of his, was so passionate and compelling. He always spoke with absolute conviction, whether he was a face or a heel, and the crowd were always totally immersed in what he had to say. His mannerisms, his demeanor, he always knew what to say and how to act to get the crowd invested. I can't think of anything he did after his initial heel turn in 2009 that wasn't pure gold. |
Yeah, people here seem to have turned on him bad...... but I too still love what he did when he was around and I think he has yet to be truly replaced by someone on that same level.
|
Punk is a mid carder in any half decent era. Gas station attendant looking crybaby. Threw shittier kicks than 1989 Andre the Giant
|
Scott Dawson suffered a ruptured bicep and is out indefinitely.

Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Speaking of boring vanilla midgets....
|
Say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
|
I don't remember..... is there anybody that Gertner actually likes these days?

Heath Slater

Love Braun Strowman

Big fan of Disco Batista

God damn.
Yoshihiro Takayama took a bad bump off a sunset flip back in may, and now he's paralyzed from the neck down. |
Pretty great episode of Between the Sheets podcast so far. I pimp this podcast a lot but you HAVE to check it out. They time stamp their show so you can skip the section that you aren't interested in like I do for the Lucha section.

The Revival |
That's a damn shame for Dawson. Sometimes there is a "silver-lining" to an injury, but this in no way helps The Revival. I doubt they would ever fire an injured guy, but this might shatter Vince's faith in them, if there was much there to begin with.

Also, I only just found out the second line in the theme is is All My Proud Southern People Who Be Ready To Fight |

Im not sure Ronda Rousey should be trained by Brian Kendrick

thats not saying much

I'd prefer Lance Storm over Brian Kendrick, but she could have a worse trainer.... She likely "chose" him because he's based in LA....I don't think she'd take the 6 months to move to Calgary and train with Storm, or anyone else....
|
Brian Kendrick is training Ronda Rousey? Good for him. I hope he gets some cool contacts through that.

Besides, given some of the things I've heard Lance say on his podcast, about knowing Charlotte personally after she took some classes with him and such, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the women go to Lance Storm at some point for polish anyway. Kendrick might be just laying some groundwork, helping her get started, basic psychology, etc., and then he'll suggest going and working with Lance for a few months. |

Really sucks about Scott Dawson :( maybe the Revival shouldn't go hard all day and all night anymore. Back it off a bit.

According to Sports Illustrated, Nakamura is semi "in the doghouse" due to Vince still being furious over the ending to last week's match between him and Cena.
Mainly in regards to the exploder suplex given to Cena and blaming him for Cena almost getting injured because of it. Only bright side is Vince isn't angry enough to cause any current plans or directions to be changed for him. Cena himself didn't see the incident as a big deal which likely helped reduce Vince's wrath as well. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...hn-cena-suplex |

Fairly amused by the reception that Jinder Mahal received in Toronto during Smackdown.

Canadians being cheered in Canada. Whatever next?

They should send Nakamura back to NXT to learn how to work

Oh, ok..... I am many weeks behind in NXT..... don't think I will catch up before Takeover...... I think their weekly shows have gone "downhill" in quality anyways......
|
The main roster really kinda gutted NXT. Bobby Roode vs Drew Galloway as a Takeover main event is just SO far below the standard they set the last few years. Feels like a recent TNA main event. Big fight feel is kinda gone without Nakamura, Joe, etc..

Would've led the the Hart Dynasty and probably every other Canadian wrestler quitting on the spot not to mention the reaction on here would've been beyond nuclear. It'd really have been the biggest fuck you in wrestling history. And because I love morbid humor I'm chuckling just imagining it. |
The thought of Vince putting Bret in the sharpshooter and the ref calling for the bell before Vince runs down the aisle laughing is just... glorious.
|
Quote:
In regards to the NXT Championship probably doesn't help its been relegated to big name indie stars for major feuds since Sami was champ and WWE already went through the bigger name stars as champions. Going from Nakamura to Roode or anyone else on the roster at the time was always going to be a big downgrade. |

I think the last episode I watched was maybe the one before that. I think Asuka defended against Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot in a triple threat.
Also, I wasn't saying that great things couldn't still happen...... just I feel like they are more "sparse" now on weekly TV than they used to be...... |
Great match you should check it out. I agree with the general premise. I'm less thrilled about this Brooklyn Card as I've been in years. Maybe because I've made no plans to see in in person as of yet? Not sure. Just seems meh right now.
|
The buzz around NXT has certainly died down.
|
It feels like the freshness of the concept has dulled, and you can kind of predict the patterns of things. Top indy guy comes in, gets a push, wins the belt, moves on. Not literally, but it all feels that way. I know people are stoked about Adam Cole, but how is it going to be different from Austin Aries? From Sami Zayn?
|
Pretty strange in the last weeks both members of ReDRagon came into NXT and lost to Alexister Black. Hopefully that's not all we see of Bobby Fish and O'Reilly.
|
Fuck y'all, Triple H was cool as fuck in 1998.

Those glow in the dark HHH pants lol

Takeovers stil exceed my expectations though, so we'll see on that front. |

New Legacy inc are doing a charity stream with 31 royal rumbles to raise money for a cancer charity. One in each of the games in the graphic and then the Royalest of Rumbles with the winners of the 30 previous rumbles facing off. Should be fun and also fuck cancer! www.twitch.tv/newlegacyinc. There's an events page to convert it to your timezone too https://www.twitch.tv/newlegacyinc/events |

Shitstain Nakamura v.s. The Hindered Jinder Mahal

Minor gripe, but they got the original SvR logo wrong.
https://static.giantbomb.com/uploads...s_raw_logo.jpg That's the original SvR logo. Still, they are doing what they're doing for charity, and I think it's a great cause. :) |
It starts in 30.
