If that had motionplus built in, I'd be all over it.

Vietnamese Crippler 10-13-2010 03:41 PM

And under a month away from release, GT5 is delayed again :o

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/112/1127739p1.html

Funky Fly 10-13-2010 03:47 PM

Never gonna come out, probably. They'll go from Prologue straight to 6.

Vietnamese Crippler 10-13-2010 03:51 PM

GT5 will be the new Duke Nukem Forever.

Funky Fly 10-13-2010 03:56 PM

GT5 nah, it'll actually be good when it finally comes out.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-13-2010 03:59 PM

I would laugh if they tinkered with it so much, it handled like shit.

Disapointed, but I'd still laugh.

Vietnamese Crippler 10-13-2010 04:08 PM

I want them to keep delaying and then when they finally release it, it's an 8-bit game.

Emperor Smeat 10-13-2010 07:04 PM

Amazon.com accidentally revealed the contents of the Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition before pulling it down later in the day.

EA hasn't officially revealed the pricing but based on the amount of extras in the edition, this should be around the $80-$99 range for pricing.

Quote:

Along with a large and lovely box, the Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition that briefly appeared on Amazon yesterday also features some sort of exclusive downloadable content, a copy of the Dead Space 2 soundtrack, and what appears to be some sort of animation cell.

The real meat of the CE, however, is that replica of the game's Plasma Cutter. It's a must have for anyone owning one of those attractive helmets we gave away when the original game came out.

I read that as GTA5 there for a second.

Read that Redbox is going to try game rentals. $2 per day.

This is why I am no longer a hardcore gamer. The 8-bit era nearly drove me insane.

Funny. I was just reading someone on GameFAQs complaining about the "No death" situation from Fable 2 and 3. And dozens of people defending it because dying is too frustrating.

Funky Fly 10-14-2010 02:46 PM

Losing experience is more frustrating, I think. I mean, clearly you weren't good enough to beat whoever just killed you, but then you get up right then and there weaker than you were before you died with that guy still there with his weapon drawn.

But complaining that dying is to frustrating is pretty lulzy.

BigDaddyCool 10-14-2010 02:54 PM

That is awesome

Huge potential legal case could impact the right and legality to sell used games.

Quote:

The Dallas Morning News reports that the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decided that a software publisher can stop buyers from reselling software to others. This differs from previous rulings in which software programs could be resold under "first sale" doctrine due to the rationale that licensing agreements that prohibit resell take precedence.

According to the University of California at Irvine's R. Anthony Reese, "The first sale doctrine has been a major bulwark in providing public access by facilitating the existence of used book and record stores, video rental stores, and, perhaps most significantly, public libraries."

Pundits believe that if this recent decision is upheld by by other courts, it could impact second-half retailers like Half Price Books, eBay and, yes, GameStop.
Two things to take from the ruling is this ruling came from California and it won't take affect any time soon since its expected to be appealed to Supreme Court eventually.

Also this only covers software publishers and not all industries that have used sales.

This news comes around the same time Valve is considering introducing a digital trade-in program to help customers sell old digital PC games and PSN removing a racing game due to loosing licensing rights. Bioware also including more one-time items in Dragon Age II as a way to prevent used sales.

Trying not to overplay Reach, i've decided to give Mass Effect another go, I completed it the first time and didn't take much in, i'm only an hour through now and already I understand the games mechanics better.
Such a good game...

#BROKEN Hasney 10-15-2010 08:16 AM

The Steam used game thing was catagorically denied by Valve.

What the fuck ever happened to fair use? Fuck.

D Mac 10-15-2010 12:28 PM

Cool, Oct. 18 the PS3 will finally get a Netflix update so you can have it on your HDD without having to insert the disc every time. Plus some other improvements.

G 10-15-2010 12:38 PM

like 5.1

Emperor Smeat 10-15-2010 07:25 PM

The developer behind Game Room for the Xbox 360, Krome Studios, rumored to have shut down for good after trimming staff and workers at other Australian studios they owned during the year.

Reasons for the closure include horrible game sales after the initial debut and ad push by Microsoft with additional game packs doing less than 500 sales each. Microsoft also basically stopped supporting the thing and a catalog of arcade games mostly from the Atari Era or already available in game complications. Pricing and lack of other developers supporting the game application also considered a big reason.

No word from Microsoft if they will hand the game application to another studio to continue or if Microsoft will take over besides just creating game packs for sale.

Are they improving the upscaling?

G 10-15-2010 08:25 PM

The disc-free Netflix application for PlayStation 3 will be available in the States next Monday, October 18. Sony has said the PS3 system will be the "first consumer electronics device" to support 5.1-channel surround sound for Netflix's streaming library of movies and films. Some media will also be viewable in 1080p and "an increasing number" will feature subtitles or alternative audio tracks. The app also features a fancy search option that allows users to update their regular queue.

Only famous glitched they missed was the Negative World level.

Video is a collection of glitches so I assume Nintendo might have shown a few clips in the past and just pasted them up together for this video.

2006 was the 20th anniversary of the NES and Nintendo did have a celebration for it (1985 for New York, early 1986 for rest of US and Canada).

Anyone with knowledge of the Suikoden series, I might start playing Suikoden Tactics but I have never played any of the other games in the series. Is this a bad idea? Like will I not understand the story/what is going on

Funky Fly 10-18-2010 02:13 AM

Always thought the games were of a similar system, but not related, like FF.
