LOW?

Flair is Flair. The biggest dick I have seen in WWE is Mike Graham. He tries to take credit for everything in WCW. And seems to believe he had talent. When in reality he wouldn't have even had a job. But he was the promoters son.

Morale was high about a month ago because of the great crowd response they got on the U.K. tour, and the feeling they were part of a major league promotion. But then when Lockdown, the company’s second biggest show of the year, couldn’t draw at all in Miami, the mood changed. For the most part, the faith in creative, Dixie Carter and John Gaburick is low right now. There’s the belief that Vince Russo is involved, and that it’s being kept a secret, which doesn’t help morale and leaves people confused since Russo hasn’t led to any success in wrestling since he left Vince McMahon nearly 15 years ago ... The belief is it will start in January and CMT would be the home, but we’re told more than one station is being talked with and nothing is definitive just yet. The CMT rumors are because Toby Keith is involved and he’s got close connections with that network, and that speculation with Keith involved led to CMT. It was always thought that CMT and Spike would be the most logical homes, but Spike is not in the picture ... Jarrett has been scouting talent, as he’s working indie shows every weekend scouting, as well as looking at videos of people recommended to him, including international talent in Mexico and a lot of TNA people have sent word of being interested. Jarrett was also the one who put together the Wrestle-1 and TNA deal.

There is also talk that the promotion would open with a Jeff & Karen Jarrett reality show that would build to the launch of the TV show and promotion a few months later.

Since Lockdown two weeks ago, Dixie Carter has not been seen in the offices of TNA in Nashville; with most communication with the TNA President being done via email and phone. This morning in a memo, written by Dixie’s assistant, staff was informed of a sensitive talent meeting taking place in the office with Dixie this afternoon. Dixie’s assistant requested that staff work from the TV Production offices from 12pm to 3pm to allow privacy for the meeting.

So Bo Dallas apparently wrote a letter to the WWE (or NXT I guess) Universe. In it he talks about how heartbroken he was about loosing his title, and how sorry he is to his Bo-lievers. From what I understand he's supposed to be a heel or something (don't watch NXT) and that fact has made his letter one of the most hilarious things I think I've ever read.

How can so many people hate on Bo when his schtick could possibly be one of the greatest heel gimmicks of all time? I mean serious, I haven't actually seen him wrestle except that one time on Raw forever ago, but if he's even halfway decent in the ring this guy could be amazing on the main roster.

#1-norm-fan 03-20-2014 08:13 PM

I don't think people hate on him so much anymore. They hated on him at first because he was a face and he was entirely too cringeworthy for it. So they turned him heel and the only change they made to his character was to make him more cringeworthy. And it was fucking brilliant.

Wishbone 03-20-2014 08:23 PM

I've noticed that around here people seem to have that opinion, but most of the "IWC" seems to still be hating on the little bastard. I can't tell you how many times I've read "Just fire Bo Dallas" or "He's total shit and needs to die". And all of that has been in like the last few weeks.

Honestly I think it'd be hilarious to see him come up to the main roster and somehow pull off an underdog win against a top face only for it to go to his head and end with him feuding with countless fan favorites where he thinks he's the face and they're the heel.

Lock Jaw 03-20-2014 08:29 PM

So I was watching the Discovery Channel and apparently Chuck Palumbo has a new shown on where he goes to the homes of people who hoard cars and buys the whole lot and sells what he can out of it and gives them one really nice car in return.

Well the first episode was about Chevy Corvair's so it was only so nice. Plus he lost like $5k on the whole deal including the payday from his last match.

WWE has sent out a survey to fans on their mailing list asking for interest in several potential WWE Network reality shows. The shows and summaries of the pitches are below:

* Blackman’s Bounties: Former WWE star and legit badass Steve Blackman reality series following his bounty hunting team based out of Harrisburg, PA. Think Dog the Bounty Hunter.

* NXT: Behind the Scenes: A reality series following the talents trying to make it out of the Performance Center and to the main roster, looking at their work, their personal lives and the fraternity of the NXT brand, including the heartbreak of being cut. So, it’s Tough Enough-esque.

* Pros vs. Joes: Pretty much the same as the old SpikeTV series, pitting WWE talents against an average person in physical and non physical challenges. The non physical challenges listed included an air guitar competition. The physical challenges were described as similar to American Gladiators.

* WWE Around the World: Following WWE talents taking part in some of the scariest stunts and attractions around the world, such as shark diving and eating strange foods. It read as if it was modeled after some of the Travel Channel’s “Extreme” specials with a dash of Anthony Bordain’s No Reservations.

* WWE Dirty Jobs: Just like the Discovery Channel reality series of the same name, WWE talents have to perform unpleasant jobs, including going into Chicago sewers and picking up garbage in NYC.

* WWE Prankdown: A practical joke show that features WWE talents pulling tricks on unsuspecting “Superfans.” The example given was John Cena and Randy Orton both wanting to buy an expensive car and getting into a fight at the dealership, only to show the damage they caused was part of the show to trick the fan.

* WWE Rescue: A reality show where WWE talents come to the homes of “super fans” help them with their personal and business problems. Think Restaurant Impossible meets Nanny 911.

* WWE Ultimate Challenge: WWE’s version of CBS’ Amazing Race with a 12 hour extreme scavenger hunt in different cities.

* Xtreme WWE Collector: Starring “Super fan Michael Patterson” – basically a WWE version of Travel Channel’s Toy Hunter, except Patterson is chasing WWE toys and memorabilia.

Blackman's Bounties would single handedly break the WWE Network servers.

ron the dial 03-20-2014 10:33 PM

the majority of those ideas sound godawful

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-20-2014 10:40 PM

So every idea is just a copy of other reality show. Ugh.

I'd Greenlight Blackmans show, the toy merchandise guys show if it's just a few minute interludes between real shows.

On the bubble: Pro Vs. Joe.

Everything else sucks donkey dick.

Here's the issue with Bo and a few of the NXT people: some of their gimmicks come off as indy gimmicks. They work on a small show with the same audience every show but they don't translate well in the big leagues: see Emma. They aren't spotlighted on Raw/Smackdown so they either get lost in the shuffle or there's not enough camera time for the fans to make a connection. I fear this will happen to Adam Rose which sucks because it's tremendous. I don't see it happening to Tyler Breeze though.

I can see the problem with Adam Rose because it's too "silly" and WWE can't keep silly interesting once they hit the main roster. I think Bo Dallas' gimmick would translate fine onto the main roster. It's just MADE to draw heat regardless of which roster he's on.

Yes I will be watching that.

Not sure why it would be on WWE network....Is WWE network going to be to Wrestling as MTV is to Music?

Urgh, that show looks horrible and scripted. Probably worth a watch once to see what Blackman is getting up to, but overall looks shitty and fake.

Also, gotta say quite surprised if that's on the Network and they're allowing "fuck" on there.

That sounds of Wwe DVD was $6 on amazon and $12 at Walmart. Its basically the top 25 entrance themes as I guess voted on by Jim Johnston. Its only 70 minutes long..

Apparently he's the badguy for that bullshit Slam City cartoon they're doing. Something about him taking over WWE and firing everyone so they have to get day jobs.
