an early look at Andre The Giant - 1972
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NUs1R6O2Eeg?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Andre was just 25 yrs old in this match.

Rammsteinmad 09-04-2012 10:48 AM

Always wanted to know what a 25-year-old Andre the Giant looks like. Thanks, Seth! :y:

Schlomey 09-04-2012 11:18 AM

Razzamajazz 09-04-2012 12:25 PM

it's like the crowd has no idea what is going on. after the 3 count the winners have to start clapping to let them know it's over

#1-norm-fan 09-04-2012 03:46 PM

Jesus. Crazy to think Alberto Del Rio is richer than Hulk Hogan.

#1-norm-fan 09-04-2012 03:49 PM

Also, it seems like there has to be someone between Piper and Chyna at the bottom there.

Keith 09-04-2012 03:51 PM

Big Show $5 Million richer than Triple H?

Did not expect that.

Gerard 09-04-2012 03:52 PM

Wonder how the fuck lindas lawyer swung that, 70% assets for someone thats allegedly not had to lift a finger for most of her life..:wtf:

Christian is scheduled to appear during Bound For Glory weekend and induct Sting into TNA's Hall of Fame. This is part of the deal between WWE and TNA that allowed Ric Flair to appear at the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year.

While there is no heat on Christian because he didn't choose to appear for TNA, WWE officials don't want him appearing for them while he's in the middle of a title feud on their programming. Expect him to feud with Cesaro later this year unless things change.

Sales won't suffer so much from his heel turn as much as they'll suffer because of the doghouse he always seems to be in.

loopydate 09-06-2012 09:38 AM

So, I decided I wanted to watch Summerslam '97. I go digging through my VHS cabinet and find the tape, pop it in, and mid-way through Hunter Hearst Helmsley's intro, it's all of a sudden Vince McMahon announcing Brian Pillman's death on the Raw after Bad Blood. I taped over the PPV with Raw.

So... I'm gonna watch a fifteen-year-old Raw instead. DX (not yet called DX, still calling themselves the Kliq) give Michael Cole a wedgie, now they're watching the footage of the Curtain Call on the TitanTron instead of the footage of him beating Undertaker. Vince hasn't turned heel yet, and HBK and HHH are tearing into him about it. Pretty funny stuff knowing what is to come. "Come on, you were an ass LONG before I made one outta ya!"

loopydate 09-06-2012 09:40 AM

Back from break, HBK is still tearing into Vince. Bret's music hits to interrupt him and the Foundation is on the ramp. HBK tells Vince "You're burying me right now!" Guess he was in the doghouse...

loopydate 09-06-2012 09:42 AM

Bret just called them both degenerates and homos. Damn.

loopydate 09-06-2012 09:45 AM

Shawn just told Bret to "suck it." Was that the first time he's used that? Oh, and this is the "You are a zero, my hero" promo from Shawn. Awesome.

loopydate 09-06-2012 09:53 AM

Opening match, a lumberjack match between the Godwinns and the Headbangers. DOA, Truth Commission, Sultan, New Blackjacks, Los Boricuas, NOD, Rockabilly, LOD, Real Double J Jesse Jammes, and a few others are the lumberjacks. Ref bump leads to a big brawl, and the Headbangers pick up the win.

NOD interrupts Austin from the locker room. Man, Faarooq was kind of awesome in '97. He's literally cutting a promo on the word "ass" and it's captivating.

Well, I guess it was the 1%. It was, however, the night he punted Lawler's crown into the stands.

Owen defending the IC Title against Hawk. God, that "Enough is enough" theme (sans lyrics) is epic.

loopydate 09-06-2012 10:38 AM

This is kinda sick, actually. Vince is trying to sound sympathetic, but it just comes across as manipulative. Melanie's staying remarkably poised, but he's asking brutal questions.

Hardy Boys (no "z" yet) in the ring for a tag match against the Truth Commission, but... THAT'S GOTTA BE-- THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE!!! And now Paul Bearer's gonna give us some backstory.

Seems to me like they missed a period of jobbing before winning MitB, and a period of jobbing from when he lost the World Title, to when he teamed up with Vickie.

Lock Jaw 09-06-2012 05:15 PM

Interesting to see that his initial loss in this losing streak they are pushing was against Ziggler.

Maybe he resurfaces after Ziggy has won the World Title, and begins a feud. And then jobs.
