Ended up getting countered into a reverse Meltzer Driver in another gif.

These are the Dumb Fucks you're talking about. I've seen them toss an opponent to the ground when the other guy's part of the Meltzer Driver got broken up. And it was against the Briscoes... in Japan... Last Year...

I have often called it the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a wrestling match.

Lock Jaw 06-01-2017 12:42 AM

Is there really a move called the Meltzer Driver.......

Meltzer sheep,,,,,,,,

Lock Jaw 06-01-2017 12:44 AM

I see.... apparently a Young Bucks move (finishing move?)

Very dumb to name a move after a rassling news writer........................,,,,,

Ol Dirty Dastard 06-01-2017 12:46 AM

Best thing going on in Impact right now is Larual Van Ness losing her mind after a failed wedding. Matchs are average just about every week. JB/Matthews feud has been entertaining just for the lies that Josh spews outs every week but Steiner returned and didnt get any time on the mic last week, which disappointed me a bit.

I wonder why larual did not make it on nxt she is good on the mic she can wrestle an good looking. her and kongo kong are stealing the show.

Probably Tough Enough stink needed to be washed off of her. She wasn't signed after to a deal. She was pretty pissed with how she got fucked over and eliminated on the show.

Indie promotion WWN currently dealing with online backlash after one of the wrestlers contacted for upcoming shows had photos revealed on social media of him giving the Nazi salute and being friends with a known white power musical band.

Making things worse for WWN was their streaming provider got involved because they felt WWN was hesitating too much on making an official decision. FloSports pretty much gave the ultimatum of get rid of the wrestler or have their feed get cut during all matches involving the wrestler.

In speaking to PWInsider.com, Sapolsky said that Shlak had been booked based on multiple recommendations and was going to drive down to the event as part of a contingent traveling together from the Northeast. Before Sapolsky had a chance to investigate the situation, however, Flosports (which has a deal with WWN to stream their events as part of their subscription service) informed the promotion that they had received complaints as well and would not be allowing Shlak's matches to be streamed on their service. All of this led to the promotion unbooking him. As you might imagine, Sapolsky wasn't happy about this scenario taking place at all.

The trademark has not been officially assigned, theoretically making it impossible for them to be transferred to Corgan.

New twist to this story involves the Patent Office partially suspended the new trademark request by NWA owner Bruce Tharpe due to the application being terrible overall.

Wording of the application managed to infringe on a NWA-like trademark owned by another company(s) and didn't prove the NWA itself was still an active company.

The applicant was also informed that the marks in two pending applications present a potential bar to registration under Section 2(d), if registered. In addition, applicant was required to provide an amended definite identification of goods, provide information relevant to examination under 37 C.F.R. §2.61(b), clarify the mark description, provide clarification regarding the claimed dates of first use, and provide clarification regarding the applicant’s claim of concurrent use."

It appears based on the ruling that the issue at play is related to merchandising of the NWA brand, specifically that the NWA name may come into conflict with other existing applications featuring a similar brand name and that Tharpe, in his application, did not show adequate proof that the brand was currently being used in commerce, i.e. was actually being sold.

Corgan and Tharpe are still in talks for Corgan to purchase NWA rights but at the moment, nobody knows if Corgan can still get the full rights or how much of the deal has to be changed due to these problems.

The best part about this was the elbow drops...

Remember when Miz had that incredibly forced face turn and he was supposed to be Ric Flair's protigee, even temporarily adopting the Figure Four? He sucked at mimicking him. Shit was awful.

Here? He is spot on being "enraged tantrum" Ric and not even trying. In this moment, his accuracy is higher than Jay Lethal's.

Apparently Cena recently blamed everyone he's feuded against over the years for why their pushes and/or momentum stopped after their feud with him ends. Also claimed credit for Miz's recent greatness and their Mania feud being interesting.

Quote:

If you look at my existence in WWE, I have never asked anyone and will never ask anyone to pull any punches. I believe that it’s a ‘Strong Survive’ environment, and accept nothing less. I think people forget my [history] in WWE sometimes and the fact that I truly had to earn every inch. There is this overwhelming perception that I am protected and coddled — that couldn’t be father from the truth.

Every single opponent that I have, if they don’t realize that I give them free range to throw their best punch — and just know that I’m going to punch back — I openly let that be known. I just think it’s something that goes vastly overlooked.

I just believe you bring your best to every story and you bring your best to every fight. And if my skills aren’t as good, then it’s time to step back. It’s just a matter of believing in myself and going out there and speaking from the heart. I believe that sometimes that’s something missing in some of the WWE storylines … being honest and brave enough to put everything out there on the table.

I’ve always done that, and I think the same could be said about multiple storylines with multiple Superstars … and it’s always with me.

This is why I have the reputation of quote-unquote “burying younger talent,” because I will let them do whatever they want with me — and then after they get done, they’re not as motivated. So, it’s not that I sink their ship, it’s that they fail to operate at an elite level. And I’m on to the next person, [to] whom I say, “Hey man, bring your best punch and I’m gonna punch back” — and they don’t take that attitude beyond me.

I take that approach to everyone. The Miz story couldn’t be a better example of that, because when that story started … no one wanted to see that match. No one. I made it a point to have everyone work as hard as they could to change everyone’s mind. And now here you are, months after the fact, saying that was one of the most entertaining things done on television. That just goes to show you that it’s all just about how much you’re willing to invest and how strongly you believe in what you want to do.

Watch the full match. It's so goddamn good.

I dunno, I read that Cena interview as "The Miz stepped up his game and that's why that program got as hot as it did heading into WrestleMania and why The Miz is still relevant."

RP 06-09-2017 01:38 AM

I didnt know Big Cass and Carmella were together.

They've been dating since their NXT days.

When the draft happened and every other couple baring Del Rio and Paige got to stay together, was speculated around the net Big Cass and Carmella probably were split because of a petty WWE/Vince reason. Turns out Carmella actually asked to be on a different brand to prove she could succeed without Enzo and Cass.

How much money do you think the Young Bucks make in the Indies after everything adds up like main payment and merchandise.

Emperor Smeat 06-09-2017 02:50 AM

Probably somewhere in the high six figures range. So like upper card range but not main event range in the WWE since that is in the millions.

They've teased and hinted for years about making a lot more money in the indies than what the WWE would offer or be willing to offer.

I highly doubt they make in the upper 6 figures....

Actually, I can see this happening.

As much as I generally dislike Young Bucks matches (the cramming 800 things and none of it meaning shit aspect), the fact is that they got very over being the biggest trolls in professional wrestling. The ultimate cool heels. They carved their niche, especially off rhe backs of the "anti-Cornette" crowd. They're talented fuckers who make a decent living in Japan, still get booked all over the world, and have Bullet Club and Elite money coming in, plus endorsement deal shit and other possible perks. They are in an unenviable position of not really needing the Vince machine behind them when they have their own.

There's a big difference between "paying alright" and near $1 million.....

They probably make a lot more than you think but then also they get paid great by ROH who needs the bucks and all of their other indy gigs and merch. They appeal to a crowd thatll spend on them which are wrestling hipsters

GD 06-09-2017 09:31 AM

Find Jericho's mid pod commercials.

GD 06-09-2017 09:43 AM

Is it common knowledge that Jinder Mahal's Punjabi is really bad? Well, not as bad as when Asuka and Khali speak English. Really takes me out of his promos.

Why is not needing WWE unenviable?
