I just caught Jinder's ceremony from Smackdown...I love his new theme and video/staging. It actually got me really excited for this old school "foreign villain" championship reign.

I've not really been following this whole "broken" WWE vs Impact thing... how come Matt Hardy doesn't own the rights to the gimmick? Didn't he start off doing it himself, away from TNA?

Nah he's tried a few "out there" gimmicks on the indies but not Broken Matt. He created it but TNA were the platform it debuted on.

And TNA are saying that his contract says that TNA owns any characters or gimmicks that appear on their show.

Had Matt worked the gimmick on the indies he could argue for prior use rights.

I just have a feeling it's never going to make it to WWE. They're still teasing it but TNA don't want to sell it and WWE don't want to lease it.

If it ever does work out it might be long after interest in the character has died.

Seems to be a mix of nobody trademarked the gimmick while it was happening in Impact and like BrotherVito said, Impact pulling a WWE by claiming any gimmick/character used on their shows belongs to them. According to the sheets, trademarks only started getting filed around March.

WWE had a similar problem with Ryback recently in regards to the character which is why they tried to have his trademark filing rejected after he left and Ryback legally changing his name to fight back.

According to the Observer, WWE's Creative is currently out of ideas for why there have been a lot more multi-man matches than usual recently.

They don't want to start possible SummerSlam stuff early nor have any real idea on what to do in the meantime so they went the lazy route with meaningless stuff going on right now.

End result is the hits RAW and Smackdown in general have been taking with viewers and ratings these past few weeks.

Seems like there have been a lot of multi-man matches for years. This isn't a new thing.

Yeah the trend itself is not new, just it being the usual sign of when the WWE gives up and rather just wait till they get closer to a big event/phase to start meaningful stuff. Seen bad when its not happening during their down period or with too many shows in a row.

PWI had an article recently about a similar issue when trying to explain WWE's recent struggles. One of the topics focused on WWE's booking and their bad habit of wasting a lot of time that could have been used for trying more new ideas or building up people better.

I'm not as high on her as most/many but I'd be down for this. She's heading for 2 years undefeated in September, they could easily take that to 3 years during her time on the main roster. When was the last time someone went undefeated for 3 years?

Also, I don't really dig Ember Moon that much. I'm a bigger fan of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. None of them should beat Asuka, though.

I feel like I don't know who Ember Moon is. Like, why are her eyes red? Is she supposed to be a warewolf? They need to give her the "Who is..." treatment.

They're really good. Most of them are good in a "if you like Edge and Christian humour", but the most recent one is anatomy of a match where they talk to HBK and Foley to break down their match at Mind Games and it is fantastic.

That would definitely be helpful. It's not that she's bad or anything. I just don't...get her.

She has a similar problem Nia Jax has in the sense of having different directions going on at the same time and/or the wrestler not fitting with the idea they want.

They've done a few videos trying to show her more in an underdog or sympathetic light but it clashes with her entrance and stuff hyped about her.

Nia has a similar problem where they try to portray her as a beast because of her size but Nia doesn't really come off as being intimidating or someone who'd be more comfortable in a different role.

What they need to do is have Asuka show up on the main roster and have her forfeit the title because she's above it. Then she can start squashing dudes like Hawkins, Ryder, etc. And move her up into the IC/US title scene.

I was so disappointed when she talked for the first time, and sounded like a normal woman. Everything about her look, wrestling style, and entrance screams for a character with mystique. Something to match Asuka's own mystique.

According to the Observer, WWE currently has Jinder Mahal penciled in to be a long term star for the company. Current WWE reign also penciled in to last for a while as well. There were rumors about an India tour later this year but at the moment, WWE doesn't have one scheduled.

If Mahal keeps the belt after the July 4th show or next ppv, he will break the current streak of no champion since Styles being able to successful defend the belt at a ppv or special show.

From previous reports and speculation that leaned towards the view of Jinder push being not something thought as long term or big star making by the WWE. Not just the Observer had similar views about Jinder's push.

His push also coincided with Impact's upcoming India tour and WWE likely wanting to steal as much focus away from it and Impact's attempt to grow their market.

I'll give Wade Adams a bit of credit: He is one of the few workers in the local indy fed who has the decency to wear actual boots in the ring, as opposed to kickpads over wrestling shoes (It's kind of a pet peeve of mine). On the Downside, for a wrestler whose gimmick is he's from Canada, he has a very distinct Southern Accent. Can't be perfect, though. Meh.

Give Jinder a chance. Not sure why everyone is so surprised by this. He was in the finals of the tournament to crown the first NXT champion, so it's not like they haven't had high hopes for him before. Sure his jobber work was whatever, but look at the man now.
