Ahhhh. A cold Bud, and a front row seat on a gorgeous day in Mesa.
Sure, rub it in :(
fucking love pitching duels. wanted Lackey to go the distance :(
:D Red Sox won. Lackey's been pretty great this post-season so far.
This series is taking years off my life.
They'll be the senile years, though. |
can't even really be mad about that game. Lackey went PITCH-FOR-PITCH (ie TOE TO TOE) with Verlander, Tigers stranded a bunch of bros on 3rd base all night and failed to Capitalize. hope Fister FISTS them like a muscley hand in a tight vagina tomorrow though
Lackey certainly wasn't "lacking" tonight
Crazy living in Chicago, going to Wrigley/the Cell all the time watching big league ball where if a team has a two error game they played sloppy to seeing minor league ball where I just saw one team commit 9 errors in two games......and these are mostly top prospects.
SOX
Asshole
We got a run on Benoit so that's a good sign that we might be good in close situations later on. Time for the Ace to step it up and send us to Boston only having to win one at home.
So far I really like Addison Russell and Max Muncy - both Oakland prospects. CJ Cron and Taylor Lindsey of ANA both have hit some mammoth shots. Kris Bryant and Jorge Soler have been unimpressive at the plate this week.
Sox in 3.
hey the bats finally woke up
His Royal Highness Nolan Ryan will be resigning as CEO of the Rangers at the end of the month. He also sold his stake in the team to his co-chairmen.
Kinda weird, gets a group together and buys the team, and a little over a year later, he's gone. Guess he just wants to step away from it all altogether. |
White Sox land Cuban 1B Jose Abreu. 6 years, $68 million.
I wanted the Mets to throw their name in the hat on him but that contract is an enormous risk. |
:D Sox 1 win away from the World Series.
Oh yeah! Time to bring it home and end this.

Move is so White Sox. They need to do a massive rebuild and they spend a huge chunk of cash on a Cuban hoping they get another Puig. Even if he is, does that team really compete for anything in the next few years?

So, what does mean for Paul Konerko? I know he's a free agent when this season is over. But's like an institution on the North Side.
Think he leaves? |
DH?
maybe this guy doesn't even make the team. I didn't read too much that said he was a phenom. |

so the Cards are gonna be in the World Series again.... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Oh shut the fuck up. Who gives a fuck if the teams in the championship are "boring" this isn't entertainment it's sport.

If the Cardinals win another World Series I'm just going to pretend Beltran is the only person winning. :( Will make it more bearable.

Cards and red sox? No one really wins even if they are the best pound for pound teams. Didn't care much about the Dodgers other than I would like to have seen the new ownership rewarded for sinking lots of cash into the players. Same with the tigers. If they don't win in the next couple of years contracts like Fielder have the potential to crush them for years.
Red Sox got this!
Cardinals are mint, bruh
Hi boyfriend
Sup baby?
Think what kills me about the Cards is that they have won just as much, if not more than the Yankees and Red Sux the past 13 years or so, yet are still treated as a Midwestern, "that's cute" type of team. East Coast teams get no such treatment, they would be labeled as some sort of "Empire."
Thats cause they are gay.
It's because the Cards create a their own success. How many key free agents do they really nab on a yearly basis? They draft and develop ridiculously well, and don't spend boat loads of money on their roster. They are unlike any team that made the post season. Mid market team that does everything right.
Wish the Padres would become the "Cardinals West". |
Quote:
They win a lot because they've been really smart with putting together teams and having great luck than being an actual powerhouse in the NL. |
They let their premier player go in free agency a couple of years ago, and wound up getting better. That right there says a lot. It's also their ability to not just develop guys, but bring them up at a time when their skills fit the team needs. For a competitive team, its not only developing all stars, but solid regulars like Kolten Wong or Jon Jay.
And also developing perennial scrubs like Pete Kozma.

:D Victorino. Red Sox going to the World Series.
Called that Grand Slam. The old nemesis World Series nemesis approaches. They ain't got shit on us. Sox in 4.

Everybody but the Cards and the Red Sox.
Ugh. Too much red for this World Series.
I will root for Boston because they have Jonny Gomes and Jonny Gomes is a peach.
On that play, why didn't Victor Martinez just truck Dustin Pedroia when he stepped into the basepath? That's legal right? Would've broken up the double play and allowed the run to score.

Jim Leyland resigns as Tigers manager but won't be leaving the team entirely.
Quote:
Tiggers ain't gonna be the same without him.
Quite the job that just opened up. Unless the front office already got someone in mind already. |
Fuck. I love Leyland.
Already rumours of Dusty Baker coming to Detroit :nono:
Reds are naming team pitching coach Bryan Price as their new manager.
Dodgers fired bench coach Trey Hillman while Mattingly sort of gave an ultimatum of either they extend his current deal or get rid of him as well.
The option vested for him. By right he should be back.
I don't know what Magic & Co. is doing besides waiting on the beach with a dump truck full of money for the Cuban defectors who land. |
Tim Lincecum re-signs with the Giants. 2 years, $35 million.
Damn. I know he loves the west coast so it was always a stretch but he was on my Mets wish list. |
So much for my dream of Tim Lincecum, Yankees closer.
Atleast it's cheap and short for the Giants if sorta kinda starts going downhill. Smart move, Sabean |
Moves should be prohibited until the season is officially over at the end of the World Series.
Why?
Wish I could muster enough "give a shit" for the WS, but my love of baseball can't overcome my revulsion of the Red Sux and my insouciance to the Cards.

Blue world series jackets seem pretty tight,,, i want one for $134.99

Out with bruised ribs caused by the grand slam stealing catch he made. |
Yeah he snatched one away there
Poor Big Papi
Cardinals RF getting fucked up
Red Sox win! Any word on Beltran? Heard he had to be hospitalized.
:D Red Sox take Game 1
Cardinals take game 2. Sox gave it away with those two errors on the same play.
 Breslow.
Wasn't expecting much because of the Wacha matchup but Breslow stunk coming in for Lackey. |
Boo
Wacha Wacha Wacha.
Fozzy Bear must have been proud. |
Nationals hire Matt Williams as manager.
Nice. Big fan of Matt Williams.
Love Matty
Beltran 3030
Bullshit call the fielder was out of the base-path
<s>One of the worst calls I've ever seen.</s>
Probably not, just mad right now. Eff. |
No it wasn't
Took balls to call that but it was probably the right call
That's on Salty. Never should have come to that. Absolutely pointless throw to third. Wasn't going to get him anyway.
Wow. 2nd game in a row the Red Sox lose because of a screw up from home.
Salty should have just kept that ball instead of being like Breslow last time. |
I get that intent doesn't matter with obstruction, but was Middlebrooks supposed to not go for the ball and let it sail by him?
The problem was when he kicked him with his feet from his belly
Will probably read my posts tomorrow and realize I was just being mad and not thinking clearly.
Maybe, but he was still out of the base-path he was on the grass. If Middlebrooks wasn't there he would have reached the fucking pitcher mound.
He also never touched home.
He didn't have to
Quote:
This is what the Sox should have done last night: kept Felix Dubront in the game. He was dominating them.
He just tried to tag him without the ball obstruction!
We'll see you in Boston fuckers.
As much as I don't care for either of these teams, these last three World Series games have been great.
