My battle with addiction lasted over a decade. I remember the day that my wife came to me and said "I love you. But I can't be with you anymore if you continue to pass out every night. It's sad to see you ruining your life and missing out on our children growing up." "I'm sorry, but if you don't get clean, I'm leaving you," she told me. "I don't want your money. I just want to protect my family." Wow! I didn't realize how bad I was. You never do when you're in the middle of hardcore addiction. But having 4 DUIs in 5 years also showed me there was a horrible pattern. The fact that each DUI charge was reduced to reckless driving or thrown own just gave me an excuse to keep using. So I decided to go to rehab, and it was the best decision I've ever made. In rehab, you have so much structure. After one week of very, very difficult withdrawal symptoms, I was feeling great. The routine was 8 hours of sleep. Wake up. Exercise and yoga. Breakfast (healthy meals). Addiction prevention class. Lunch. Class again. Dinner. Meetings. Music time. Then sleep. But what happens when you get out? You're released back into the world where you became addicted. That's why 95 percent of those in recovery relapse. There's no structure after rehab, except for AA/NA meetings, which can be difficult if you're a husband, father, career man, and celebrity, not to mention very private. I struggled nights with what I could do to help others stay in recovery after rehab. It took me 4 years to come up with a solution. And that's AngleStrong. AngleStrong is an initiative to assist recovering addicts stay in recovery. Go to the AngleStrong.com website to read about it. I've helped to create an app that any recovering addict can follow daily to stay in recovery. It's easy: Sign up, fill in your profile, answer the questions each day, sign up your lifelines to help support you in recovery and go to the chat line to converse with other recovering addicts. It has daily reminders, positive daily messages, a monthly video call with me answering your questions, and it's GPS enabled so that we can find you if you relapse. This is Anglestrong! We will win!!

A post shared by Kurt Angle (@therealkurtangle) on May 8, 2017 at 10:52am PDT

Seems RAW's decline is even worse than previously expected when factoring cable in general. Can't mainly blame it on cord cutters since RAW's drop is like 3x more than the average.
Meanwhile even with the recent couple weeks of decline, Smackdown still has benefited a lot by being a live show. http://i.imgur.com/I1Jf7PB.jpg |

I saw an image of Gulak with a "No Fly Zone" sign a few days ago and I didn't really think anything of it.
Now I've seen him in a suit and I'm intrigued. |
Glad gulak has something to work with character wise. When it comes to cruiserweights, I actually like the quick mat wrestling and unique counters more than the high flying, and gulak is the best of the bunch in that regard.
|
Growing up in an all polish family, every time I hear drew gulak I think drew goulash.

For those interested in buying Mania 33's DVD/Blu-Ray sets, neither version has the kick-off matches included for the US. UK region of the sets has both though.

Meanwhile the bassist from Kings of Leon who recently trashed wrestling backtracked on his statement and now claims someone else took his phone to make the tweet.
Probably wasn't expecting the amount of online backlash and ridicule from both fans and wrestlers when he tweeted the original insult.

Ok. Well I mean I don't take it personally, but he has to realize there's going to be part of his fanbase that also likes wrestling, and that is insulting part of his fanbase. Thankfully for me I think Kings of Leon suck.

They are absolutely awful
|
What song did they sing?
|
I don't know names, but if it's a bad song you can assume it's them.
|
no matter what it is. Even if it's different people singing. Rule of thumb is if it's a bad song it's done by Kings of Leon, or Drake.

Is it just some <s>retarded</s> "young and hip" way to say that she makes money? |
Yup

Cool King should write them an angry letter on his typewriter.

I dunno, at most companies the boss is gonna be making a lot more than the subordinates.

According to the Observer, ITV's World of Sport future is in serious doubt and all because of TNA/Impact getting involved. ITV currently looking at the idea of partnering with someone else because of how toxic Impact has been to their project.
Wrestlers who were interested in ITV's series are also now looking at other options instead. ITV is pissed their current plans had to be delayed and might try for an early 2018 launch but likely dropping it by then. Quote:

Watching NXT..... was shaking my head at the fans doing the "TWO..... SWEEEEET" thing...... but then some other fans started to chant "That's annoying" at them, and then the other fans started chanting "So are you" back at them.......

Undertaker almost killing Kanyon with a chair shot.
|
Hated Taker during that time, that stupid beanie made him look like a douche.
Not as much as when he used Limp Bizkit as his theme, but yeah. |
I didnt know Ryan Clark helped Kanyon write a book.
|
Kanyon's death was sad. Folks claimed he was sacked for being gay. Wasn't Patterson openly gay?

That would actually be a solid character to build a baby face |
It would definitely be different. To my knowledge, there's never been a drugged out hot mess character.

Vince has done homophobic, trashy storylines that could lead one to believe he is a homophobe but I don't think Vince cares about sexual preference, but enjoys offending anyone and everyone because that is his sense of humour.
But you know, maybe there's a need to be a fly on the wall in any situation that would lead Kanyon to believe Vince was a homophobe. Cena is also wrong about Kanyon though, even as Kanyon, he was great. Who betta? |

At around 15:00 you get a very early Jerry Lawler match, featuring one of the most awful announcers ever. The "Warped Ya Head Off Hold" and "Brain Duster" are put to good use. |

I like that they added a toothpick for Scott Hall's skeleton.
|
On the subject of Kanyon, I watched his interview with Stern where he said he was fired for being gay. Ric Flair calls in to represent WWE. Kanyon definitely seemed like he was using his homosexuality as an excuse. He was one of those undercard guys who eventually wore out his welcome in WWE. Regardless of how talented you think he was personally, he definitely was one of those guys WWE would decide they have no use for at the time. In no way do I think his homosexuality came into play.

I'm inclined to agree with Fan. I think he was hard done by to be released as he was hella talented, but he wasn't a WWF guy, didn't fit the mould.
|
His proof seems to be "I was employed for 9 years so clearly now that I'm not employed it's because I'm gay."
|
He was dealing with some serious demons so I can understand his headspace was neither a productive nor healthy one.
|
You're calling being gay a demon???
|
no. I'm calling being suicidal a demon.
|
Don't be such a suicidaphobe
|
I'm sure there's some gay demons out there tbh having torrid affairs with gay angels
