I love how over Blue Pants is in NXT. I also love that her name is Blue Pants.

Anybody Thrilla 02-20-2015 04:19 PM

Adrian Neville really is an exceptional talent. Also, I really like his theme. Just thought you guys might want to know that.

I really think Christian would make a great commentator.

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 06:55 PM

The Blue Pants thing is so fucking great. If it's working, why change it?

Bad News Gertner 02-20-2015 07:12 PM

Because it's over in front of the same 400 smarks who go to the show every week.

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 07:23 PM

Yeah?

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 07:24 PM

If you're putting on a show for those fans, I don't really get your point there.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-20-2015 07:32 PM

That it can't carry over to the mainstream WWE.

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 07:34 PM

So? It's working within the context of NXT and working for NXT television.

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 07:37 PM

To say it "can't" translate to "mainstream" WWE television is a bit premature too. I mean, if they brought her up to the main roster (I'm not even sure she's under proper developmental contract right now anyway), then it would likely fall flat on its blue pass -- but if she continues working NXT, gets more and more exposure, builds that rapport, and the NXT Galaxy swells behind her enough that she's a vibrant part of that brand -- Blue Pants could become a legitimate identity for her.

I'm not saying that it will, but I just don't think it is impossible. That being said, if it doesn't happen, which is more likely, you can hold that against my statement here and use "didn't" to support "can't," and all we have is a handful of hypotheticals.

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 07:43 PM

If the WWE wanted to freshen up the women's division (and I'm not necessarily for this idea -- I'm just throwing it out there), then an NXT Women's Division vs. WWE Divas Division storyline is probably the most intriguing "invasion" storyline the WWE can do right now. It doesn't seem like there is a vision for the current Divas Division anyway. There are plenty that could be implemented, but Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Alexa Bliss all have as equally, if not more definable characters than the main roster girls, so introducing them all at the same time isn't as risky as bringing up a bunch of male competitors. Blue Pants could hypothetically be part of that revolution. I can just imagine JBL mocking Blue Pants for being called "Blue Pants," only for Blue Pants to beat Alicia Fox in a match, leave the ring and take JBL's hat, and come out with it the next week and spray paint it blue or something.

Young kids don't grow up wanting to be accountants, janitors, website designers, tailors, barbers, "businessmen", etc either but there's a place for all those things in society and most kids are gonna end up there anyway regardless of what their little hopes and dreams want. Why shouldn't we do something that works and makes some money just because something else makes more money? It's not like Blue Pants would ever get a chance on the main roster anyway with McMahon's ridiculous standards. Let Blue Pants have her spotlight where it works and take what you can get from it.

You're right. They should close down NXT tomorrow.

Mr. Nerfect 02-20-2015 08:22 PM

A statement from WWE in regards to the Chris Amann/CM Punk lawsuit states this, and comes with a video:

"There is clear video evidence from the 2014 Royal Rumble, which allows all to decide whether there is any appearance of a baseball-sized growth on CM Punk’s back."

3 minutes and 41 seconds of Punk's backside. Now we are talking

Vastardikai 02-20-2015 08:49 PM

Why do I get this feeling that Dr. Amann isn't operating on his own accord?

The purpose of NXT is to develop talent with identities that will translate well into the WWE.

Calling yourself "Blue Pants" works in a high school gym with 500 people in it. Not in an arena with 15000.

I LOVE the Vaudevillians, but there's no friggen way that gimmick will translate well if they get called up.

I'm not rich by any means whatsoever, but from what I've read and heard, I make more than 85% of the wrestlers on NXT deals. I rent a house and don't own a car.

Take that for what it's worth.

It would only work if the new group would be considered the faces. I doubt that has ever happened in the history of wrestling though.

The feud would just be used to get Nikki Bella over. Think SummerSlam 2010 except replace John Cena with the girl he's currently fucking. Nikki pins Charlotte and Sasha Banks in straight falls.

Yappaaadooo!

When is Tamina returning? She's a beast.

Her and Paige in a cage with nothing but topless diva rage.

Considering the argument we're having it really isn't worth anything. The main roster and NXT are two completely different entities with completely different fanbases. If NXT did the shit WWE does they'd loose what little fanfare they actually have because the people watching that show aren't the same as the ones watching the main roster. Sometimes you have to find your niche and run with it. You don't see Sharknado trying to be on the level of Citizen Kane after all. Let Blue Pants be over with the crowd in NXT and use her to put over big heels that actually might make it on the main roster. Every cog has a role to play after all.

Jazzy Foot 02-20-2015 09:15 PM

Need more NXT Divas. The Divas really do need more air time to be fair other than Total Divas and more diverse matches.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-20-2015 09:17 PM

Fuck that about the Vaudevillians though. I think the gimmick could get over in the WWE.

Fignuts 02-20-2015 09:24 PM

Yeah, Vaudevillians could work on the main roster, I think.

The bolded part is the main problem that they are having with transitioning talent from NXT to the WWE.

Should fix that if they become a touring brand.

That is something I've been pulling for since NXT started. It's too much like the TNA Asylum. Not saying I don't enjoy NXT because I do. I love NXT, but the main goal is to develop talent to bring up.

Jazzy Foot 02-20-2015 09:32 PM

what will the Undertaker v Bray Wyatt match stipulation be at WM?

Also what will Sting and Triple H discuss?

Change the name of NXT.

NXT sounds so denigrating and patronising.
