When Sonjay cut his hair he went on to vanish and/or just be angry in his matches. He might be on GFW's roster, but idk what that entails other than the house shows they put on at minor league baseball fields.

There should be a wrestling style Quantum Leap show where a wrestler goes back in time to fix all the wrongs throughout the history of wrestling.

#1-norm-fan 04-21-2017 05:49 PM

Each time hoping that his next leap will be the leap home, of course.

Droford 04-21-2017 05:52 PM

Tommy Dreamer booked his show in the same building time as a bunch of 8 year olds having a roller skate party. There's absolutely no way this can end well

Droford 04-21-2017 05:54 PM

I also walked in behind a short dude with a beard who is apparently a wrestler cause this group of fat guts at the door hounded him for autographs. Will find out who it was cause I don't know couldn't get a pic fast enough lol

Droford 04-21-2017 05:58 PM

Mikey of the Spirit Squad in front of me. Guy asked him if he's ever going back to wwe "never"

Not the guy with the beard though

WWE backtracked on letting Matt Hardy wrestle but he showed up. Main event turned into Bully/Tommy vs The tucking Spirit Squad. Dreamer seemed legit pissed off afterwards. I'm guessing the Hardys won't wrestle tomorrow night in Philly.

Match of the night was easily Bobby Fish vs Sami Callahan.

Emperor Smeat 04-21-2017 11:29 PM

Cruiser title got a tweak made to it based on a recent house show event. Instead of the strap being purple, its now black.

Could just be something the WWE wanted for a better look or a possible sign of WWE ditching the purple branding for 205 Live and the Cruiser division in the near future.

Rammsteinmad 04-22-2017 11:37 AM

So not sure if this is a new thing this year or not, but I saw this in town today. Apparently WWE now give the Raw after Wrestlemania it's own DVD release!!!

http://target.scene7.com/is/image/Ta...=520&fmt=pjpeg

Six hours long according to the back of the box, cannot fathom what extras they would have to make an episode of Raw worthy of a it's own six-hour DVD.

Seemed weird seeing this though, and how the Raw after Wrestlemania is as much an annual event now as Wrestlemania itself.

Simple Fan 04-22-2017 12:03 PM

Styles, Crews, and Miz & Maryese weren't even on the Raw after Wrestlemania. Sure thats real because I don't see Roman Reigns anywhere? Miz also has the IC titke so it probably last year's Raw after Wrestlemania.

It's a documentary that was on the Network recently. Just talks about the history and so forth. A longer version of that plus memorable matches/moments and shit...

Yes. I saw it in Asda.

I was equally surprised to see the people on the cover, especially Apollo Crews.

Having seen this is more detail though, yeah DaveWadding is right it's a compilation DVD. Thought it seemed a bit weird them releasing an episode of Raw on DVD a couple of weeks after it aired.

Still can't get over Crews on the cover though.

Simple Fan 04-22-2017 02:07 PM

So it is this year's? I guess they are making up for putting Styles in the back on the Royal Rumble poster by putting him front and center for a DVD of a show he wasn't even on.

Rammsteinmad 04-22-2017 02:09 PM

It's highlights from all the past Raw's after Wrestlemania. Best matches/moments etc. Not worth buying in my opinion, but just thought it was interesting how R.A.W. has become as big a part of the calendar as Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Summerslam and Survivor Series.

Simple Fan 04-22-2017 02:14 PM

Ok make more sense now, Crews is weird but he did make his debut on a Raw after Mania.

Tajiri just left the WWE due to medical reasons.

Quote:

Former ECW star Yoshihiro Tajiri announced this weekend that he's ended his latest run with WWE.

"The Japanese Buzzsaw" posted to Twitter (link is external) that his knee injury has ruled him out for a WWE return. At the age of 46, WWE's doctors didn't feel comfortable clearing him. Tajiri injured the knee at a set of January NXT tapings and never returned to TV.

Tajiri, who originally returned for last year's Cruiserweight Classic, also would go on to appear for NXT and 205 Live. During his injury, he would coach at the WWE Performance Center.

The Japanese star thanked William Regal and Triple H for the opportunity and stated that he had no regrets in signing with WWE.

Observer speculating the WWE might legit be considering giving Jinder the WWE title as part of a bigger focus for the India market.

Like with the UK, WWE is supposedly worried about more wrestling companies making a strong push into India and/or eating their market share. Also like with most things, its something they recently made decisions for and not something that's been planned for a while.

Quote:

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave said that Jinder Mahal's title shot was because WWE views India as an important country due to India's high population (it's the country with the most WWE social media followers), and they want to push an Indian (even though he's actually Canadian) star in Jinder and the Bollywood Boyz. Several other companies have been making movements towards India, including Impact, and WWE doesn't want to be pushed out of the market. Dave doesn't entirely dismiss the possibility that Jinder could beat Randy Orton, but notes that whether they win or lose, WWE has a lot planned on the horizon for the Indian stable. He also said that this push towards India was a recent development, because otherwise they would have been protecting Jinder more and given him more than two singles wins in the past 8 months.

#1-norm-fan 04-23-2017 11:46 PM

Psh. This Jinder push has CLEARLY been planned for 6 months now.

Nope.

And I think it is a weird decision to push Jinder just for the sole purpose of expanding business in India. He's not even close to how popular Khali was in his prime.

Shaq recently blamed the WWE management for why his match at Mania never happened.

Quote:

O'Neal: "Because they kept playing. First, they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be 3 and 3. Then, they cancelled it so when they cancelled it, I made other arrangements. And then they tried to call back and tried to get it done, and I just said, 'I'm not going to do it.' They messed it up."

Kinkade: "And my theory all along – this is not his commentary – I have a hard time believing that somebody would read a script where he would lose in anything."

O'Neal: "So you're saying I didn't want to lose? It's for the kids, John. I would have lost for the kids. For the kids."

Kinkade: "You are competitive."

Gass: "The man did Kazaam for God's sake."

O'Neal: "Exactly, yes. I would have lost."

Adam Rose SHOOTING on Braun:

Quote:

“Braun is the nicest person in the world, people don’t know that. And he has this voice, this country voice. If he sings country music you’ll fall in love with him. He can sing a country song like no other. He has this amazing voice and at one point he was my Rosebud general because he used to control the others. I still remember at Raw this one time and Braun was yelling ‘Everyone listen up. This is about Mr. Rose, this is not about you!’ and I was like ‘Braun, calm down there’s no need to be so hard about the whole thing.’ That’s the one Rosebud people remember. They’ll never let him live it down. I still remember being in Gorilla Position and Vince McMahon seeing him in his Rosebud costume and looking at Hunter like ‘What are you doing to us?'”

WWE currently rumored to be interested in signing another big name announcer to a deal.

Quote:

Sportskeeda and the Dirty Sheets Podcast are reporting that WWE is reaching out to former UFC commentator Mike Goldberg to possibly join the WWE announcing team with the recent departure of Mauro Ranallo. WWE was previously interested in Goldberg possibly replacing Jim Ross back in 2005, but Goldberg opted to stay with the UFC. Goldberg ended his tenure with the UFC late last year after a 19-year stint with the promotion.

The new report indicates that Goldberg WWE’s “top target” to join the company. Additionally, it states that Jim Ross’ friendship with Mike Goldberg was another reason the WWE Hall of Famer was rehired. Allegedly, Triple H believes Jim Ross could influence Goldberg in joining the company and helping him get acquainted with the WWE product. Additionally, WWE has only reportedly had conversations with Goldberg’s representatives and has not spoken to Goldberg in person. So, a potential deal with WWE and Goldberg could still take months to actually take shape.
Over/Under on 4 months before Vince decides he hates the guy and/or his style once a deal is made.

Psh. This Jinder push has CLEARLY been planned for 6 months now.

#MeltzerSheep

Good thing he was working like crazy to improve his physique before the push. Good thing he was put in the middle of a SportsCenter moment at Mania with Gronk. I'm sure it was all a coincidence though. I'm sure someone in WWE accidentally googled top countries by population three weeks ago and realized India was near the top.

I'm sure Meltzer needs a way to justify why he wasn't reporting this was coming 4-6 months ago.

#1-norm-fan 04-25-2017 07:55 PM

Holy fuck, I didn't think this idiot would even actually try to claim WWE had been planning this Jinder Mahal push for 6 months. Jesus... lol

mike adamle 04-25-2017 07:57 PM

I mean... he makes a point...

#1-norm-fan 04-25-2017 07:59 PM

Having him be an undeniable jobber for 6 months was a genius way to build him up, huh?

mike adamle 04-25-2017 08:00 PM

Is it really that much different from how they push everyone else?

Because he got in better shape and was involved in an angle with a celebrity at WrestleMania THREE WEEKS AGO, CLEARLY they've been planning this push for 4-6 months.

mike adamle 04-25-2017 08:02 PM

He didn't just get in shape 3 weeks ago. Honestly I thought this push might be a thank you for signing the contract to come back when the brand split started when not many people signed the deal to come back

Not really. Because they don't plan shit out. This is just a glaring example that CyNick has actually somehow found a way to try to bullshit out of.

So it's just that. That he got in shape. That's the evidence that they planned his push months ago...

mike adamle 04-25-2017 08:04 PM

Or maybe he's right

Well they thought enough to get the person Orton was in a program with (Bray) and switched him to another brand. Then Jinder was moved to SD!. That had to have been planned. Then Jinder won the #1 Contender match. That was more than likely planned as well...

#1-norm-fan 04-25-2017 08:05 PM

Right. Because he got in shape. PROOF.

... Stuff that happened within the past couple weeks...

mike adamle 04-25-2017 08:07 PM

Yeah but the trades have been planned for a while, as well as what happens after said trades...

mike adamle 04-25-2017 08:08 PM

Vince or Triple H probably brought Jinder into the office 2 or 3 months ago and said "listen kid, you gotta get in phenomenal shape because we have something for you soon..."

Come on. Not only is this a tv product, but it's a traveling job, they're not gonna just keep the talent that has to travel from city to city uninformed on where they need to travel to and what brand they're traveling to be on.

#1-norm-fan 04-25-2017 08:15 PM

If Vince or Triple H decided months ago that they're planning a push for Mahal and they built it up by having him basically be Barry Horrowitz, that would probably be more retarded than just randomly deciding he's going from jobber to main eventer overnight. I'm actually giving them credit by conceding that the latter is clearly what happened.

According to Alexa Bliss, that actually happened at least for her. Didn't find out till the day of the Shakeup show she was heading to RAW.

Then again to be a bit fair, WWE had all of Smackdown's roster on that show in order for no leaks to happen.

Except there have been plenty of people who have said that's exactly what's happened when they've switched brands.

Remember when Kaitlyn said she quit because she showed up to tv and was told they had nothing for her?

Months and months of planning. Bray just dropped the belt to Orton, got put into a rematch, and then suddenly moved to Raw in the middle of a feud. Doesn't seem like something that was planned for months.

I'd tell my talent to tell the outside world we didn't know what was going on either

#1-norm-fan 04-25-2017 08:25 PM

Jim Ross said he almost quit the night he and Michael Cole switched brands because he wasn't told until that night. Jim Ross was not working for WWE at the time.

Mr. Kennedy has said most of the people traded had no idea until that day. Also was not working for WWE at the time.
