Pretty spot on. She *does* have the mannerisms close, but if you don't look, it's like Hamill doing his Joker voice, or that replacement frontman for Journey.

Also, if you don't look, you don't notice that Tamina got scrubbed from the movie version.

I gotta say though, Thea Trinidad does a really good AJ.

The match that follows is pretty funny but also weird to see, only because Florence Pugh isn't a wrestler, so only the beginning and the aftermath of most moves are done with the big bumps being done later by Tessa Blanchard who is Florence Pugh's stunt double.

Thea Trinidad is pretty hot. Austin Aries pulled a rabbit out of his hat with that one especially being 12 years older.

Wouldn't have had it any other way. It was like a video game. Goddamn epic.

I'm pretty sure the crowd was just waiting to shit on the match and they basically didn't give them a chance to while also not making it feel like a quick squash. So good.

And that's coming from someone who thought the story going into the match was backwards and retarded.

I really wish they'd drop the cruiserweight thing other than the belt and stop giving then their own segments and just have them on rosters. We're just seeing similar matchups all the time right now and Neville, Kendrick, Gallagher and Aries are the only ones with any real character. Ali is great in the ring, but he needs a little something.

Yeah was the only real sore spot about last night's crowd but even with the crowd caring more about a beach ball, both guys still managed to win them back by the end of it.

Some of it was due to security taking the ball away but also due to the stuff happening in the match setting up its end.

I'm hoping they do the obvious thing and bring Paige back to feud with Bayley over the Raw Women's Title. I'd imagine Paige would be trying to win the belt and threatens to have Del Rio jizz on it, to which Bayley can act disgusted. They could either have Bayley retain and have Paige steal the title and have Del Rio jizz on it anyways to set up a blood feud, or maybe have Bayley retain and instead turn heel and she can have someone already jizzing on the title (hopefully by Mojo Rawley)... or you could have Paige win and have her have every male member of the roster jizz on the title. It could even become a gimmick where before she hits people with the belt she has Del Rio or Maddox or Epico jizz on the title before she hits her opponent with it to add insult and HIV to injury.

So the match was between a guy on the Raw roster and a guy on no roster. So JBL's roster was in no way involved in the match. So that doesn't answer Guru Dave's question at all.

  • Someone from Smackdown stole Justin's passport from his bag on the final night of a tour to the UK. It was never returned. He had to go to the US embassy in London to get it reissued. "Stealing a passport out of someone's bag is a pretty evil rib and not giving it back means it's no longer a rib".
  • When they were in Japan on a tour, there was two tour buses - faces and heels. "Bradshaw had both buses pull over". They wouldn't move until Justin was moved from the face bus to the heel one. JBL and his cronies then bullied Justin for the entire journey. "I was very comfortable working the RAW tours. I was scared for my life to work SmackDown tours".
  • "JBL would throw my bags down the street...he typically referred to me as dipshit and numbnuts despite my always trying to do a great job...every day I saw him, he asked me why I was still alive and told me to go kill myself".
  • JBL was being interviewed by a high-schooler and, after the kid dropped his notes, Bradshaw asked the mother if "she had any children who weren't mentally disabled".
  • HHH had a thing about trying to pull down Justin's pants
  • Jaime Noble and Chris Benoit once tackled Justin down to the ground in the airport and put him in a double crossface. He tapped instantly but they refused to release him. He could barely walk for days afterwards.

Chris Jericho has discovered Facebook Live and has admitted to slowly becoming addicted to it.

So far he's done two videos. One from his kitchen as he eats a burger and another in his car on his way to the post office.

They're pretty laid back videos where he's just talking to the camera like he's your buddy and he answers questions and requests. It's pretty cool.

He also tells you what he's currently up to and what he has planned for the year ahead way before they're officially announced but with some things, he's pretty cryptic and he tries not to give too much away.

For example, in his latest video, he did say that he's been "working on something for nineteen months" and was going to announce it on the 17th of April but he found out on Tuesday that "something happened to somebody that was very integral to the event that pretty much ended it" but he thinks he's now found a remedy for the situation and he thinks people will like this project.

Now, that could be anything but it's most likely something music or television related but it could also have something to do with wrestling, as the 17th of April is a Monday, but it's most likely the former.

He also said that Fozzy will be touring the UK in October/November which hasn't even been officially announced yet and probably won't be until a few months after their US tour, which was just announced a few weeks ago.

The videos are cool but with his latest one where he's driving, the camera is set in a position that you could see right up his nose and I've never noticed until now how big Jericho's nostrils are.

Speculation going around the net is Mauro Ranallo might be done with the WWE. Recently scrubbed all WWE related stuff from his Twitter account.

Quote:

Fans noticed on Friday that Ranallo has removed any references to the WWE from his Twitter bio; it used to say he is a WWE commentator, but now the bio simply reads, “SHOWTIME Boxing/@rutten_ranallo/ COMBAT SPORTS CAROUSEL/ Mental Health Advocate.”

In addition, Ranallo has deleted several tweets about his absence from the WWE. On March 24th, Ranallo had tweeted, “I’m deeply touched by your tweets of support. My doctor wants me to stay off social media for now but I wanted to thank you.” This tweet has been deleted.

On March 29th, Ranallo also tweeted about WrestleMania, saying that he won’t be there and that he wishes everyone luck. He wrote, “Feeling love from everyone. I am stronger. I want to wish my @WWE family another AMAZING #WrestleMania #KeepUpTheGoodFight #MentalHealth.” This tweet has also been deleted.

According to the Observer, JBL's bullying antics is a lot worse than previously believed. 15 people contacted the Observer after this week's newsletter to reveal their own stories about the terrible stuff JBL did backstage.

14 didn't want their stories to be made public for future reports since they are still working in the WWE and/or don't want to burn the bridge for a possible future return.

At least 5 in the past have gone public with tales of JBL's bullying. Also Blue Meanine in the past stated the reason JBL attacked him for real at ECW One Night Stand 2005 was because he went public with his own stories of JBL bullying him after he left the WWE.

I got 55 texts from people who were bullied by Justin and Dave at the same time.

They also don't want to be identified, because ummm, well they, may one day want to get into the newsletter or unsuccessful author business.

My experience in athletics is that there is always some level of initiation that goes on among a group of guys like this. But it's usually only continued if the person is universally hated by the larger group. I don't know Justin personally or JBL, but I don't think the group would allow an innocent person to be constantly picked on by JBL or anyone. My instinct is to think Justin bright on any ongoing "ribbing" onto himself.

Mainstream media has started to cover the JBL bullying saga with Deadspin and Forbes recently releasing article about it. ESPN teased they won't which got them some backlash due to their rep of rarely doing things to upset their business partners.

The Deadspin report ended up confirming the passport story as being true. Johnny Mundo/John Morrison stated JBL told him to steal Roberts passport as a way to earn respect from him and as a way for JBL to stop bullying MNM at the time. MNM didn't steal the passport in the end but did seriously consider doing it.

Wait... so is Morrison admitting he's the one who stole it or is he just saying JBL told him to but he didn't do it?

Sorry hit the post button too early and forgot the link to the story and MNM not doing it in the end.

This is what Morrison/Mundo had to say about the situtation.

Quote:

“JBL asked me and my partner to steal [Justin’s] passport, and we didn’t,” John Hennigan (Lucha Underground champion Johnny Mundo) told Deadspin. At the time of the incident, he worked for the WWF as Johnny Nitro, teaming with current WWE producer Joey Mercury as “MNM.” “JBL was one of the main event guys at the time,” he recalled, “and I don’t remember exactly what Justin Roberts did to become the target for the hazing of this specific oversea trip, but JBL asked me and Joey to snag Justin’s passport.”

Under the circumstances, they had to think it over.

“I remember it ‘being a thing,’ you know? We were looking at Justin, he was a few rows ahead of us on this plane, sleeping. We were like, ‘What do we do?’” MNM had become a target of Layfield’s, as well, and they realized that if they went along with the abuse, which JBL presented to them as being a great prank, there was at least a decent chance that they would be left alone. Some of the abuse they endured included having the sleeves being cut off their ring robes—not only doing property damage, but getting them in trouble for not having the robes. “It’s enticing,” he said of going along with the plan.

“Ultimately, we considered the options, and wound up deciding to not do it,” he explained. “This is a weird thing for a wrestler to say, especially in that era, but I usually went by the golden rule. I wouldn’t have appreciated someone doing that to me, especially someone I considered a peer.”

Either JBL did it eventually or found someone else to do it but Morrison's story does give a different picture to JBL's claim about him not being involved in the theft.

That's all well and good. Doesn't mean he isn't a shit stain for going out of his way to pick on people to the point of seeming harassment.
