And again, Meltzer’s office is a MESS. Alverez’ office may be cleaner and not accommodating to another person but still the trip just doesn’t seem worth it.

AEW did so good last night that Warner released a statement about it.

Love when Meltzer pauses for like 20 seconds while recording a show so he can check his notes, and when his stop watch alarm goes off and keeps beeping for like 30 seconds until Alvarez gets annoyed and asks him what that is
|
I’m interested how many more excuses Rick Can make every time he claims AEW won’t hit a million again only to be wrong almost every week

Meltzer and Alvarez don’t know shit about ratings. They can read the charts, but the conclusions they draw are just plain ignorant. It’s a work to sell newsletters and present these times as more exciting than they are to credulous subscribers.

RIP AEW |
AEW was running against NXT a year ago.
Wow, Noid and xrodmuc. These Meltzer Sheep keep calling falling over themselves posting phoney numbers. |
NXT was running against AEW a year ago too.
NOT WORKING OUT AS WELL FOR THEM. |

Exactly. This is the last time they will hit 1 million. They are not creating any stars and are running out of people to bring. I'm gonna laugh in Damien Rey's bitch ass face next week when they can't even hit 1 million. |

|
Idk why it’s so hard for people to see that a brand here company in its infancy pulling a million or close to it in an era where wrestling is dead is so hard to fathom as a good thing.
WWE pulling 1.6 isn’t celebrated because they’re LOSING viewership. Checkout the Raw after MITB this year as compared to 2011. 4.83m I’m 2011 compared to 1.9m in 2021. They’ve lost damn near 3 million viewers in a decade. That’s why nobody celebrates WWE pulling a 1.6. Who celebrates dwindling viewership? |

I don’t know what he said but I’m sure it’s something along the lines “derp how can one be good but the other be bad derp”, which would be missing the entire point, unsurprisingly.

AEW sucks, gets shitty ratings. Makes sense.

Let's also be honest, they are also not exactly a startup company struggling to stay open. When they have an unlimited budget and no pressure to make a profit or go out of business, are they really deserving of the whole "let's give them time". If that is what they want, then maybe they should not claim they are the best, they are winning, etc. Quote:
Lets ignore WWE for a moment. Dynamite does 987,000 one week then 1.01 the next, and we are supposed to care another 23,000 people watched? Come on. |
This company has been around for over 3 years now. They have not been able to keep the audience willing to give them a go.

Think about it more simple than that......
Pretend you AREN'T watching, nor a regular watcher. If you are doing flippy shit through the channels, are you more likely to stop on two dudes slam dancing, or two ladies (one scantily clad) slam dancing? My vote, is that more people will stop to see the ladies. |
Bobo was right.

But that would be the casual viewer (flippin through the channels), which in your purview, no longer exists. DELETE YOUR POST!

According to Brandon Thurston, the first minute of AEW had 1.71 million people watching it thanks to Big Bang Theory.

1.1 million for Dynamite this week

Oh no Rick was wrong again. I’m sure THIS time will for sure undoubtedly be THEEEE final time they hit 1 million maybe

Brit is the lowest point of the ratings. Turrible.
|
Tbf her segment was pretty meh. It went on way too long.
|
the match before didn't help much either
|
I find red velvet attractive and Hirsch is a good worker with the female version of Taz’s body, but those two are glorified enhancement talents. They should be used on dark to build up their records but be putting over the better names. They shouldn’t be paired in a match against each other. That’ll suck the life outta anybody.

1.1 million is a hilarious number. It reminds me of the days when people used to mock TNA for a 1.1 rating. Now we’re supposed to be celebrating that in terms of viewership. Also, unless advertisers are trying to sell fleshlights in prime time on basic cable, no one gives a shit about a show that appeals only to men. Quote:

Crazy that Rampage is one of the hottest shows in wrestling. Number 4 show in wrestling for sure.
|
600k an impressive number. For Rampage. Comparatively. Not sure they can sell many ad slots with 600k 40 yr old virginal white mem. Especially since they chased off Domino’s.
|
1.86 million, nice bump from the Rumble
|
Yet no one in the WWE are stars. Only AEW knows how to make stars.

Quote:
I do think that there is something to be said for the newer WWE fan. They may not know how bad it is right now, some people blindly love 3 hours of Raw. WWE has some great stars like Bobby Lashley, Roman, Drew, Brock, Ronda, Charlotte, Becky, Orton, Riddle, AJ and ton's more probably. But they also have those newer talents like Gable, Theory or Omos, NXT guys like Gunther, Tyler Bate, Pete Dune... WWE should be booking those younger talents and potential stars against those guys like Roman, Lashley and Orton etc... but their booking just so trash and repetitive and seems to never offer anything interesting. WWE could easily have the best shows in wrestling if they had someone writing them that really cared about producing a good show for wrestling fans that also would please their outside interests and sponsors. But they can so easily rely on those fans that are too stupid to know the difference. |

Now, he probably doesn’t really think that, but that’s the message being spread. |

He’s working a particular audience. It’s insane to think that any of the people he mentioned are bigger stars than anyone pushed in WWE. It just doesn’t make mathematical sense. |
