NFL Network's Top 10 Steelers:

10 : Jerome Bettis
9 : Lynn Swann
8 : Hines Ward
7 : Troy Polamalu
6 : Mel Blount
5 : Jack Lambert
4 : Rod Woodson
3 : Franco Harris
2 : Terry Bradshaw
1 : "Mean" Joe Greene

The only one I disagree with is Woodson. He definitely didn't deserve to be as high, possibly not even top 10 material. Ham, Stallworth, Dawson I can easily see belonging on the list before him.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-24-2010 09:16 PM

There is always a Thursday game this late in the season.

Evil Vito 12-24-2010 11:27 PM

Hope they do those Top 10 lists for every team. Obviously the older teams actually have enough material so they can have a special made out of them.

Wow no love Big Ben. Two Superbowl rings must not mean much for the NFL Network producers. I think the Bus deserves to be a few spots higher on the list than 10. If anybody personifies being a Steeler it's him.

OssMan 12-25-2010 06:26 PM

who's pumped for saturday night thursday night christmas night football with the dallas cowboys

The prime time games for the 2nd half of the season should be decided week by week!

I hate this idea. They already have flex games, or maybe they tried it, because I don't seem to recall any time this year they flexed any Sunday games. In my opinion, it's awful for the regional fans.

McLegend 12-25-2010 09:02 PM

They flexed the Eagles/Vikings game tomorrow night.

Team Sheep 12-25-2010 09:10 PM

There's just been quite a few bum games for neutral fans lately. I'm really trying to get in to this game but it's hard when it's just a glorified exhibition game.

Gonzo 12-25-2010 09:16 PM

Well, I'm probably speaking from a selfish perspective. When the Giants hosted the Eagles last week, I was afraid they might flex it. The NFL probably would have if it weren't for the Packers playing New England on Sunday night. It would have been a real pain in the ass to have to go to a prime time game on a Sunday night after expecting an afternoon game. It's a real bitch with the travel, the length of the game etc. on a work night.

I understand where you're coming from, being that you guys especially probably get limited games anyway across the pond. I think it just comes with the territory that you can't expect every game to be a memorable one in prime time.

Yeah but OJ Simpson is in the Hall of Fame. He's a convicted felon and civil-ally liable for two wrongful deaths.

lol @ a flag on a ball-spiking play. COME ON

parkmania 12-25-2010 10:53 PM

For what started out as a laugher, this turned into a great game late, then both defenses disappeared in the last 6 minutes.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-25-2010 10:54 PM

Wow I thought it was game over on that offensive play. Usually any offensive penalty is an automatic 10 second runoff.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-25-2010 10:55 PM

Hahahaha Merry Christmas Jerry Jones!

My new nomination for the worst sports game of the year replacing the Snooze-fest of Pittsburgh/Ravens that actually made the last TNA ppv interesting by comparison.

Vikes/Eagles might get postponed because of blizzard.

EDIT: 11:50 AM Eastern - NFL Network is saying that the city of Philly is declaring a state of emergency around 3PM. The game is currently still scheduled to take place, and fans are being asked to take mass transportation. More busses and trains are being added to accommodate.

LOLWHUT!?

EDIT 2: Game moved to TUESDAY night! Extra short week, anyone? Hope the Vikings packed a change of clothes.

Crazy bounces happening in the Jets/Bears game.

Evil Vito 12-26-2010 02:31 PM

Of course Dwayne Bowe breaks out with a huge game when I finally benched him in my title game after weeks of doing nothing.

If I lose, I'd bet anything that the score will be close enough that playing Bowe would have won it for me.

Watching Red Zone today and it seems like St. Louis might just try to bring back the days of the "Greatest Show on Turf". Lots of dink and dunk passes by Bradford and almost no run plays.

Emperor Smeat 12-26-2010 04:04 PM

Patriots locked #1 seed with the 34-3 win over the Bills.

Only 3rd time they've locked the #1 seed since Belichick arrived and both times they made it to the Superbowl (won in 03, lost in 07).

glanville6 12-26-2010 04:08 PM

Chris Harris was Mark Sanchez's best receiver today!

GO BEARS!!!!! Lock up that bye!

Stupid fucking Jags/Skins game is holding up all Broncos streams

Team Sheep 12-26-2010 04:24 PM

Not the way I would have hoped but the Jets have finally clinched their play off place.

Johnny Vegas 12-26-2010 04:28 PM

- I wish the Jets would've one that damn game
- David Garrad just cost his team the playoffs, period. Dumb INT
- Wish Redskins would've lost because i don't want WSH thinking they're "better" w/o McNabb and with Grossman
- Mad that the Eagles game is delayed till Tues. But that means i get to watch football 3 days in a row (4 if you count the Thurs game, but i don't get NFL Network).
-Still mad the Bears won because i do NOT want to play on that fucking swamp of a field.

ClockShot 12-26-2010 04:32 PM

Wow. What happened to Miami in the 4th? Lions ended up tearing them apart.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-26-2010 04:33 PM

Welp, Mike Tolbert's dead.

Evil Vito 12-26-2010 04:39 PM

Good to see nothing has changed from last week. Dodge shanks a punt, Giants still can't cover the middle of the field and give up an 80 yard TD pass up the middle. Then Eli throws his 21st INT of the year.

Innovator 12-26-2010 04:42 PM

and here we go.

Evil Vito 12-26-2010 04:49 PM

Why did I allow myself to think the Giants actually had a chance in this game? The NFL might be week-to-week but losses like last week will always linger.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-26-2010 04:56 PM

Because you take sports way too seriously.

FearedSanctity 12-26-2010 05:06 PM

Broncos coaching staff making sure they're unemployed for as long as possible after this season. Way to almost get Gaffney killed with your repetitive, predictable playcalling

their clever gameplan of throwing a screen every third down isn't going great

Innovator 12-26-2010 05:14 PM

Yeah the 10 yard cushions aren't working either.

FearedSanctity 12-26-2010 05:14 PM

Just like their gameplan of running a QB draw every 3rd down last week

FearedSanctity 12-26-2010 05:16 PM

But hey, at least that McDaniels faggot is gone. Who needs a good offense when you can have the coach of the 29th ranked RBs running the show?

If he took sports too seriously he would know that a game isn't over until 4 quarters of play.

Giants are only down 7 points with right now like 5 minutes left in the first half.

Vito: Lighten up francis, the game isn't even half over.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-26-2010 05:18 PM

See Fumble Packers and now the Giants have the ball. Touchdown Giants and the game is about to be tied with the PAT.

Miami is horrible at home (1-7) especially when the game is close or enters the 4th quarter but surprisingly near the top of the league for away record (6-1).

North - Steelers/Ravens (division winner takes #2 seed, loser takes #5 seed)
West - Chiefs (#3 seed if Jags win South, #4 if Colts win South)

Jets locked up #6 seed.

NFC

North - Bears (Ranges from #1-#3 seed)
West - Rams/Seahawks (division winner is #4 seed, loser out of playoffs)
South - Falcons/Saints (division winner is #1-#3 seed, loser is #5-6 seed or out)

Currently Saints hold #5 seed, Packer hold #6 with Giants and Tampa Bay on the outside.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, 49ers owner will fire the head coach and might not even wait till after next week since he gave a "no commitment" to Singletary.

Johnny Vegas 12-26-2010 08:24 PM

I would just like to say that Tom Brady will be playing until he's like 45 years old. The guy never gets hit, doesn't throw the ball THAT deep so his arm isnt being overused, and teams will still want him at that age. I was about 14-15 when he started, and i'll be about 35 when he's done. Wtf lol
