Superbad was a good time. So many memorable characters...also the DVD extras were a riot.

OssMan 02-03-2021 10:09 PM

Easy A

The concept of this movie is really really funny... really well written too, clever writing... haha. Parallels The Scarlett Letter like that one movie with Amanda Bynes did with Twelfth Night with Amanda Bynes. She's the Man maybe. Amanda Bynes is in this too. I should read The Scarlett Letter. Good soundtrack. Love a high school movie too

GD 02-03-2021 11:47 PM

It’s kinda funny that her love interest is the guy from “You.”

Seanny One Ball 02-04-2021 07:18 AM

Easy A is a great film

The family dynamic in that film is excellent. Stanley Tucci is always brilliant when acting with strong females. He's also wonderful in Julie & Julia. Actually all of the interactions and rapport between characters seem especially strong in Easy A. It's just a quality piece of work.

The Mummy-- 8.634

Damian Rey 2.0 02-05-2021 01:17 AM

Stanley Tucci is great in virtually anything he's in.

Sing - 65%

This movie sucks, but it has a great rewatchability factor because the songs are very good. Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson very good music performances.

Kid loves it

Damian Rey 2.0 02-07-2021 12:03 PM

Sonic The Hedgehog-7/10

Fun movie with Jim Carrey at his manic best. Thank god for the redesign.

GD 02-07-2021 12:06 PM

Surprisingly fun movie. Besides Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz was a good choice.

GD 02-07-2021 11:46 PM

So I'm watching "Spirited Away" for the first time and it seems a bit too intense for kids.

slik 02-08-2021 12:10 AM

I love Spirited Away so much

GD 02-08-2021 12:33 AM

Spirited Away - 10/10

It turned out to be extraordinary. Very emotional and stress inducing at times.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 05:39 PM

Just started "Willy's Wonderland".
Nicholas Cage fighting Chuck E Cheese rip-offs.

Looks like one of his better B movie efforts actually.
More Mandy than Jiu Jitsu anyway

Willy's Wonderland is trucking along very nicely building the film up when suddenly it just jumps right into Nicholas Cage fighting puppets.

I will treasure these next 60 minutes.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 05:55 PM

RP gonna love this movie

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 06:00 PM

Lots of Rocky-esque montages...

Just not about fighting.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 06:06 PM

I feel confident in saying that this is a fucking great film dressed up as cult-bait.
It sounds like a B movie but it looks like a really well made independent...

It's hilarious though, like really laugh out loud funny in parts.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:21 PM

I'll have to write a review of this.

This is one of the most strangely irreverent films I have ever seen. A celebration of good wit in odd circumstances.

Nicholas Cage doing purely physical acting for this role. He hasn't said a word.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:23 PM

There have been at least six "Hahaha...wtf" moments for me. All from Cage.
He's just amazing in these situations with the right material.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:24 PM

I've been watching this for about two hours, it's an 88 minute film but I keep rewinding it.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:29 PM

I watch some brilliant films every week. Great films with huge reputations, a lifetime will never be enough for me to see everything I really want to. I often just can't face it if I have the time because I know there's a better place in time to watch something.

Today I just clicked the first Nick Cage film I saw and here we are.

This is a 4/4 film so far to be honest.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:31 PM

I think I figured out why he's silent and weird.
Only time will tell though...

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:39 PM

Pretty sure this one ends up in my top movies list.
It is magnificent.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:47 PM

I doubt 1,000 directors with unlimited funding could make that film better for me in any way, shape or form.

That is a work of brilliance.
I bet film schools use it in future to show how focus and funding can actually turn out a great product in the right hands.

It has gotten a lot of mediocre reviews.
I disagree.

Seanny One Ball 02-12-2021 07:49 PM

RP watch this ASAP buddy.

You will crack up laughing.

GD 02-16-2021 01:23 PM

Soul - 9/10

Seanny One Ball 02-21-2021 07:42 PM

Jiu Jitsu - 1.5/4

Cheerfully awful. It would only be 1/4 if Nicolas Cage wasn't in it for 20/30 minutes.
He was the only person besides Frank Grillo that had any reason being in front of a camera.

It's basically Predator versus martial artists only Predator is a big gay pussy who cheats constantly and is the most butterface baddie ever made.
Great all the way up to the neck, then just nonsense faces. It's like a kid drew it.

rez 02-22-2021 01:16 AM

watching the shit out of Marvel movies since the blizzard. no reviews, just liking the ride. I was mostly just a fan of the early FOX/Sony movies. Iron Man 1 and 2 were good...didn't like the first Avengers movie so I peaced out until GOTG/2.

owenbunny 02-23-2021 01:17 PM

Just re-watched my favorite movie, The Brown Bunny. Most people don't know that owenbrown was used as the stunt cock for a certain scene.

10/10

GD 02-23-2021 10:05 PM

#ALIVE (Netflix) - 6/10

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-25-2021 05:59 PM

Wonder Woman 1984 7/10

I quite liked a slower-paced, mellower comic book film; especially after Aquaman, whose finale was a brutal assault on the senses.

The Wonder Woman films have been the best of the DC Universe films, but they still trail Marvel by a wide margin.

GD 02-25-2021 09:27 PM

The White Tiger - 8/10

Damian Rey 2.0 02-27-2021 09:47 PM

Coming to America-7/10

Ran a little long. There were some scenes that drug things out that didn't accomplish much. But the zingers hit and Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are dynamite together. The whole case is really great, actually.

Hoping the sequel is good

Black Widow 02-28-2021 05:10 PM

I Care a Lot.

Good but not great plus a dumb ending.

6/6.5 i guess.

OssMan 03-01-2021 07:13 PM

Interesting rating scale. A 6 out of 6.5 is a 92%. I'd call that "great."

Black Widow 03-02-2021 12:00 PM

I meant on a scale of 10.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-03-2021 07:13 PM

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - 85%

Really good! Very silly and very funny. Great cast. Want Bill Hader to get all the awards ever.
