There isn't rape in WW84, that'a dumb argument I keep seeing pop up.

Two characters slept next to each other in a bed, there wasn't a sex scene.

if you actually think that youre an idiot

Destor 01-03-2021 10:53 PM

if two characters kiss and the camera pans up and the next scene theyre naked in bed thats what we called an implied sex scene and has existed in film for about 100 years

Destor 01-03-2021 10:54 PM

and thats only debatable if you rank your favorite color of paint by taste

Destor 01-03-2021 10:55 PM

im going to pretend you were joking though otherwise i dont know if i can ever take anything you say seriously again

Lock Jaw 01-03-2021 11:10 PM

The deleted scene where you see the penis going into the vagina will be available on HBO MaXXX coming soon

rez 01-10-2021 06:15 AM

Hillbilly Elegy. 6/10. It needs a grandma prequel

Seanny One Ball 01-10-2021 03:24 PM

The promo poster I saw for that looked like something The Onion knocked up

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

Some decent writing. Very much a rich white New York person movie.

My ex had a rather strong reaction to the part where the daughter showed her student(?) film to her father. Kinda overwhelmed every other aspect of the movie

Underrated funny movie when I saw this I thought. It felt like it was at the hight of screw Sandler for making bad movies. At least for me

poopfromweiner dude 01-15-2021 07:34 AM

Been trying to watch some movies this year. I can only do 1 good one a week I think but I have a big list.

Pans Labrynth 10/10 best movie is saw in 2020

Evolution - with Orlando Jones and dude where’s my car. It’s like not another teen movie smashed together with tremors 3

Vanilla Sky - PASS. I didn’t really know what it was about going in and I liked it a lot. Retrospectively sure, it’s kind of Jerry McGuirey and “Abre los Ojos” is probably better. I’ll watch that Jan 2022. Still gets a 9

Sound of Metal

Really good.. good use of sound and absence of sound.. Riz Ahmed really good

Seanny One Ball 01-17-2021 05:46 PM

I love Adam Sandler but "That's My Boy" is absolutely awful in so many competing ways that it's easily one of the worst films ever made.

Seanny One Ball 01-17-2021 05:46 PM

Bucky Larson was good though.
Never got the hate for that one.

Lock Jaw 01-17-2021 10:04 PM

Dora and the Lost City of Gold - 7.5/10

I was entertained.

Knives Out

Great stuff. Good acting from Daniel Craig and the others. Must have taken a lot of work to make this. I heard the name talked about a bunch and now I know why. Loved all the surprises. I'm sure some people out there think it was predictable but I enjoyed the ride

Seanny One Ball 01-19-2021 06:43 AM

All of the cool people were bored by it

Destor 01-19-2021 08:27 AM

knives out was good. quality misdirection :y:

GD 01-19-2021 08:47 AM

Knives Out was a good time.

Lock Jaw 01-19-2021 08:51 AM

Really enjoyed it... keep meaning to watch it again....

Click

2006 was a truly horrendous time for comedy. Actually it rules. But jesus crist. This movie was like an hour too long. Also the guy coulda just used "rewind" to undo all the bad stuff.

Also I watched this on Hulu and they tried their absolute damndest to make sure I didn't watch the credits, which were playing that song "You Get What You Give" which that band is gonna play at the Biden inauguration. All this weird stuff keeps popping up in movies that seem strangely relevant, like in Knives Out they kept mentioning Danica McKellar and I'd been trying to think of who the actress who played Winnie Cooper in The Wonder Years was since I watched That's My Boy (another Adam Sandler movie) a few days ago when one of the actresses in it looked like Winnie Cooper, who is played by Danica McKellar. So anyway I wanted to hear da song

Anyway why the f*ck don't they want you to watch the credits... it gave me like a 2 second warning before it switched to some episode of Scrubs that I paused like a week ago... why are they in such a hurry to get me to watch another thing. I had to hit the back button to go back to the credits and then it took me to Big Daddy within 10 seconds twice... was really hard to figure out how to just watch the credits. Netflix and others do this too, why do they hate credits, sometimes people just want to watch the credits

Adam Sandler's wife plays a bitch in his movies.
I bet they have wild sex.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-19-2021 02:34 PM

I remember mostly liking Click

OssMan 01-19-2021 05:24 PM

He always casts a really hot wife... kinda creepy but kinda funny

OssMan 01-20-2021 10:49 PM

Hard Candy

Fucked up, uncomfortable

Seanny One Ball 01-21-2021 05:21 AM

That film changes a bit now that we know that's a little boy torturing him.
