Vice - 5.5/10

Seanny One Ball 11-27-2020 04:42 PM

Boss Level - 3.5/4

Great fun, lots of Frank Grillo beating the shit out of people.
Joe Carnahan's funniest film after Stretch.

Lock Jaw 11-29-2020 11:53 PM

Bastard y Diablos - 6.5/10 maybe 7

The New Mutants: 1 out of 4 stars

*SPOILERS AND NERD BOY RANT INCOMING*

SPOILER: show

Jesus Christ, I'm sick of this 'let's change the characters to fit our story instead of changing our story to fit our characters' mentality the X-Men films have had to suffer through. Why is Illyana a (racist???) bitch? Why is Dr. Reyes a villain? Why make Sinister your big reveal when he hasn't been a factor in other films in addition to not full out revealing him here? Why do a shit job of explaining the powers of some of the characters? Why do Rahne and Danielle have to be a couple? Sure, there are some things that work here. Making it horror themed is cool. Making it isolated with a smaller cast is fine. Maisie Williams is like the perfect casting for Rahne. But this seriously needed two or three more rewrites to make it all come together into something interesting. They seriously put THIS off for two fucking years?

M-A-G 11-30-2020 05:32 PM

Oops, sorry about that. :o

RP 11-30-2020 06:10 PM

I watched Doctor Sleep again. 8/10 . I want to suck on Rebecca Fergusons titties so bad.

Frank Drebin 11-30-2020 07:30 PM

RP getting really tame in his old age. Used to be all about drinking bathwater and eating poop. Now its just getting to 2nd base.

Frank Drebin 11-30-2020 09:14 PM

Yes, God, Yes

Now, I should go back and watch Saved from 15 or so years ago but I remember thinking that it wanted to say something but was too afraid to actually say it.

This one does. Very unassuming but probably will resonate alot with those who grew up in a religious household while questioning some of the people who seemed holier than thought.

Solid cast performances all around. Never seemed to hit you over the head with its themes and was just a nice and simple story. Nothing groundbreaking but thats not the kind of movie this is trying to be.

3/4 stars.

TENET - 9/10

Nolan's vendetta against our hearing continues.

Kenny Powers 12-05-2020 12:12 AM

Shutter 7.5 / 10.

An old thriller from 2008. Joshua Jackson is in it. Some Japanese girl haunts him and his girlfriend, but is it for a valid reason? Tune in to find out!

Careful with that axe Drebin. I'm older than RP and I turned 40 in less than a month.

Seanny One Ball 12-05-2020 08:23 AM

How long does it usually take?
I need to know if you are above or below average.

Onward - 75%

Fine movie. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing special about it, especially compared to other Pixar movies. A good medium stakes movie to turn your brain off to on a slow weekend.

Were you able to make out any of the dialogue?

Oh, that was a good one. It was the last movie we saw in the theaters before it all went to shit.

It didn't have Christian Bale as Batman, right?

Yes. I had the subtitles on.

No, but it had Danny Devito playing your wife.

Bobholly138 12-12-2020 01:46 AM

Violent Shit 10000/10

Gives you exactly what the title says.

Black Widow 12-12-2020 05:31 PM

Chick Fight.

Decent enough.

Just Mercy.

It was alright i guess.

It's okay. I'm seeing out of my wrong eye

GD 12-18-2020 03:34 AM

Watching "Magnolia" for the first time. Pretty heavy stuff.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-18-2020 05:06 AM

Respect the cock!

Damian Rey 2.0 12-19-2020 06:04 PM

Klaus-8/10

Beautifully animated Netflix original take on the origin of Santa Claus. He starts out as a widowed toy maker who partners with a postman exiled to the middle of nowhere to establish a functioning post office.

A very sweet story with funny slapstick style comedy, touching moments and a bit of coming of age mixed with, all ending with a hint of magic. I think it's an instant Christmas classic.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-19-2020 11:30 PM

Get Santa-7/10

Father and son have to save Christmas and spring Santa from the joint, who's crashed his new sled and arrested on breaking and entering. Very silly premise but it works.

ClockShot 12-20-2020 07:02 AM

Tenet - 3/5

Audio was so fucked up the volume buttons on my remote got quite the workout. And, even with all the explaining, had no idea what the hell was going on most of the time.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-20-2020 11:01 AM

I feel Christopher Nolan should be boycotted until he gets his act together, concerning the poor dialogue audio in his films.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-20-2020 02:17 PM

I couldn't tell you any of the dialogue in tenet. I didn't see Dunkirk but I heard it was loud as fuck.

GD 12-20-2020 02:33 PM

I kept the subtitles on for TENET. And yes, Dunkirk was very loud in the cinema hall.

GD 12-21-2020 03:49 AM

Magnolia - 9/10

Sixx 12-21-2020 04:13 AM

Dunkirk was awesome, but I'm a sucker for WWII movies in general.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-21-2020 05:38 AM

Blade Runner 2049-2049/10

Prob already reviewed it but felt like watching it again. What a fucking masterpiece. I'm a sucker for Ryan Gosling. Damn near everything in this film works. It's shot beautifully. The score is perfect. The story itself, the idea that Deckard and Rachael could produce a child and the chaos that could ensue should it be made public knowledge, is intriguing. Shame it bombed financially because I really would've loved to see what the next chapter would've been.

GD 12-21-2020 05:40 AM

Blade Runner: 2049 was spectacular. Have high expectations from Dune.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-21-2020 01:21 PM

As do I. But I honestly think it'll flop. I think it would've flopped in theaters and I think it'll flop as far as viewers go. For the same reason Blade Runner did. I don't think there's an obvious audience chomping at the bit for it.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-21-2020 01:23 PM

The Croods: A New Age-8/10

Funny slapstick and gag filled comedy about the cave family stumbling onto a modern family and hilarity ensuing. Voice cast is terrific.

GD 12-21-2020 03:03 PM

American Sniper - 7/10
