I love that it was a Don Cheadle movie in someone's eyes besides the studio.

Adam Sandler and Saffron Burrows are simply phenomenal in it. Don Cheadle actually does a great supporting role that oddly runs more time than what should be the main roles.

Poppy and Georgie. So good.

No one knows about this show for some reason.

Seanny One Ball 10-24-2020 05:26 PM

I'm amazed you are aware of it.
Hopefully other posters take note and watch it.

Ed Gamble isn't treated as the national treasure he should be because he went mainstream and it turns out he is quite abrasive.
I like his acting chops though.

Seanny One Ball 10-24-2020 05:29 PM

Synopsis of Almost Royal:

Two something-in-line to the throne "Royals" go to America and discover the culture.
It is filmed in a documentary style but with unassuming, non acting members of the public much like Borat.

Pretty amazing stuff. I remember the driving lessons and barista lessons being great for awkward silences.

Bad News Gertner 10-24-2020 09:36 PM

Borat 2

7/10. Not as good as the original, but really funny

It was ok. Not as good as the original and not even as good as Bruno. Not sure why everyone is all over the actress. She's fine but other than the dance scene and the Rudy stuff its all standard acting. The actress from "Almost Royal" was 1000 times better.

She drags the movie down. Women aren't funny. They just aren't.

The Trail of the Chicago 7.

8.5 outta 10. Really enjoyable and doesn’t feel like a long movie

Damian Rey 2.0 10-25-2020 12:02 PM

The trial of the Chicago 7 is also really good

You’ll go on trail for your heinous crimes.

I WILL LEAD YOU ON A TRAIL THAT ENDS IN YOUR BLOODY MURDER

GD 10-25-2020 01:35 PM

I demand a trail by combat.

Lock Jaw 10-25-2020 03:10 PM

I remember one time in the e-fed I used to play, someone said something like "I will totally destory you".... then the other guy made fun of his spelling mistake in his post, and the other dude then came back and said "no, I meant what I said, I will literally destory you", and the angle turned into him literally trying to erase him from history and remove him out of all of his stories...

Destor 10-25-2020 03:52 PM

Destor-y

OssMan 10-26-2020 11:37 PM

borat was really funny, the actress was in a few situations where she had to improvise and do interviews on her own... felt like she did so very much in the spirit of borat/sacha baron cohen interviews... very funny narrative... good

The Mission 7.5/10

A Jesuit priest (Jeremy Irons) crosses paths with a mercenary/slaver (Robert De Niro), whom has murdered his brother over a woman, and they go to a remote plateau in the South American jungle to establish a mission. They subsequently have to defend that mission and others when the Spanish sell the territory to the Portuguese, whom intend to enslave the natives.

I liked it; a good story, though the acting was sometimes a bit iffy. It had nice cinematography. There's no real action until the final 15-20 mins, but if you like a story give it a try.

rez 10-28-2020 10:18 AM

Hell House LLC on Shudder. I quite liked it. There's 2 sequels but heard they aren't that good..gonna watch em anyways

Damian Rey 2.0 10-28-2020 01:34 PM

Borat Subsequent Movie Film-8/10

Hilarious at nearly every turn. It amazes me he got away with a lot of the shit he pulls in this movie.

GD 10-29-2020 05:33 PM

Attempting to watch Enola Holmes. The constant fourth wall breaking is annoying.

GD 10-30-2020 07:33 AM

Enola Holmes - 5.5/10

Didn’t work for me. It was alright at best.

It's a beautiful looking film, Aidan Quinn and De Niro are very good.

Yeah, found footage movies are my guilty pleasure and Hellhouse is one of the good ones. Can confirm the sequels aren’t as good, but they have their moments.

Check out Grave Encounters 1 & 2. Hidden gems.

El Vaquero de Infierno 10-30-2020 04:15 PM

I'm watching Saw for the first time. I'm finding this film a chore; a 5/10 at best. I don't know why this film went on to spawn an entire series; it is entirely devoid of tension and not remotely scary.

GD 10-30-2020 07:53 PM

Newton (2017) - 9/10

Felt the same when I first watched it

GD 10-30-2020 10:06 PM

Can’t seem to get into movies like Saw and Hostel.

Damian Rey 2.0 10-30-2020 11:58 PM

I didn't care for either, but I liked hostel better.

Seanny One Ball 10-31-2020 08:08 AM

The first "Saw" is a fucking great film.
I suppose it has suffered because it inspired so much so fast and now every other horror film rips it off.

James Wan and Leigh Whannel are good lads. It also has one of the best commentary tracks there is.

GD 10-31-2020 06:44 PM

Watching "Coming to America" for the first time.

Seanny One Ball 10-31-2020 06:49 PM

Watch "King Ralph" next.

GD 10-31-2020 07:20 PM

Arsenio Hall's facial expressions

GD 10-31-2020 08:45 PM

Man, Arsenio hall <3

GD 10-31-2020 09:52 PM

Coming to America - 7/10

I had a good time. Didn't have high expectations.

Lock Jaw 11-01-2020 01:14 AM

Borat 2 - 7/10

Perfectly average

slik 11-01-2020 01:58 AM

Lake Mungo - moody and spooky, well done

rez 11-01-2020 09:37 PM

I'm watching BlacKkKlansman. Pretty good...Eric Foreman as David Duke can't be unseen.

Tremendous casting tbh.

Omar Epps looks nothing like David Dukes.
