A guy I work with(idiot) told me that it was filmed by a man running behind while holding two cameras.
He was serious too.

I mean he's a nice guy but come on...

Destor 07-31-2020 10:04 PM

Some shots were achieved by men running on foot. Dunno what the 2nd camera would be for

Frank Drebin 07-31-2020 11:21 PM

Filming

Lock Jaw 07-31-2020 11:36 PM

For shooting on digital and film at the same time

Destor 07-31-2020 11:56 PM

We're talking about a film shot to look like it has no edits. How would you use any footage from the 2nd camera

GD 08-01-2020 04:12 AM

I randomly decided to watch Shame and jfc I did not expect this movie to be so visceral.

Fignuts 08-01-2020 04:39 AM

Anyone else dislike endings where the villains get away with everything scott free. Mostly common in horror and suspense movies.

I think it's because I love revenge movies. I love them so much that when I see an antagonist do horrible things throughout a movie, I expect comeuppance. And when I don't get it, it's pretty disappointing.

El Vaquero de Infierno 08-01-2020 05:29 AM

I don't know; when the baddies started getting their comeuppance in Game of Thrones, that is when it began to suck.

Shame - 9/10

Supreme Olajuwon 08-01-2020 07:38 PM

Hobbs and Shaw - 85%

Put the kid down for a nap today and was also gonna nap. Saw this on HBO and thought it would be a good dumb movie to watch before falling asleep. Nope. Really good, stupid, popcorn flick that for over two hours just flew by.

Never got that nap in and now I’m tired.

Bobholly138 08-02-2020 02:32 PM

Bloodshot-decent action flick 3 outta 5

Man vs Snake-niche docu 3 outta 5

Special when lit-pinball documentary 4.5 outta 5.

Pretty much every great movie has an act of revenge, comeuppance or defiance in it.

Unless you are watching Michael Haneke in which case be prepared to leave bitterly unfulfilled.

Bad News Gertner 08-03-2020 09:31 PM

Relic : 6.5/10. It was aight. The ending sucked.

Fignuts 08-03-2020 11:35 PM

What Keeps You Alive- 8/10

Great horror film.

While I didn't get much out of the movie, I thought the ending was an interesting take on...

SPOILER: show

....mental health issues and family. The skin peeling scene was a bit too much but I guess it symbolized how the daughter was finally coming to terms with her mother's sickness. Accepting her for what she had become. The part where the granddaughter noticed the mold growing on her mother's back was heavy as well. There was no escaping the illness, probably because it was genetic and she was also end up succumbing to it with age.

Bad News Gertner 08-04-2020 10:38 AM

Yeah I get what they were doing, it just felt hokey and out of place.

Black Widow 08-04-2020 03:45 PM

The Call Of The Wild.

Pretty good but im also biased towards animal movies.

You Should Have Left.

Okay i guess.

Seanny One Ball 08-09-2020 04:00 PM

Contagion - 2/4

An impressive overhead of a rapidly spreading pandemic left overweight and dragging by a cast of superfluous characters given no time to grow or develop.
Still worth a watch just for the similarities with real pandemics. Good science for once here.

Seanny One Ball 08-09-2020 04:02 PM

Watching "An American Pickle" now.
Pretty light going for Seth Rogan.

slik 08-09-2020 04:33 PM

Rebecca - 9.5/10

Had never seen this Hitchcock film before, I really liked everything about it.

GD 08-09-2020 04:52 PM

1917 - 8/10

Seanny One Ball 08-09-2020 06:15 PM

An American Pickle - 2/4

It's not as good as a film about a guy preserved in preserves for 100 years should be, if I'm being honest.
Far more melancholy than necessary too... A really strange mixture of light and low.

GD 08-10-2020 09:17 AM

Just started to watch the film. The seltzer scene got me good. As silly as it sounds <3

GD 08-10-2020 10:43 AM

An American Pickle - 6/10

Certainly not the direction I was expecting it to go. But I am a sucker for family movies. Seth Rogen was actually good.

El Vaquero de Infierno 08-10-2020 10:49 AM

Lies. Seth Rogen is never good.

GD 08-10-2020 01:29 PM

There were a couple of scenes that I loved and think belong in better films.
Lots of sweetness but far too woeful for the duration.

Bad News Gertner 08-12-2020 03:38 PM

Red Penguins- 8/10. Really interesting documentary

RP 08-14-2020 12:22 AM

I just watched Knives Out and I honestly thought it was just ok. It wasnt as good as everyone said it was. It was just decent. Not bad. Good. I'd give it a 7/ 10

Bad News Gertner 08-14-2020 09:27 AM

I really gotta watch that movie. I love the movie Clue and my buddy said if I liked that I would like Knives Out

Seanny One Ball 08-16-2020 05:52 PM

Knives Out is extremely tiresome.

Did not finish.

Lock Jaw 08-16-2020 05:58 PM

Loved Knives Out.

Think comparing it to Clue may be a stretch, other than they are both murder mysteries with a large cast.

Seanny One Ball 08-16-2020 06:31 PM

Clue sucked too

Seanny One Ball 08-16-2020 06:33 PM

Watching some older films via piracy.

80's comedies ranging from Monster Squad to Throw Momma From The Train.
I may do a Chevy or Candy binge at some point. It needs doing.

Damian Rey 2.0 08-16-2020 06:58 PM

I recall enjoyingmonster squad

Seanny One Ball 08-16-2020 07:05 PM

Throw Momma From The Train is very good shit.
De Vito owning it with pure De Vito-ness.
Kate Mulgrew used to be very attractive, could only be a few years before Star Trek too. Interesting developments.

Go watch Jack and Jill and see your DVD towers come tumbling down.

Seanny One Ball 08-16-2020 07:07 PM

Monster Squad was top class though. No denying the fun of a monster movie with some very well written gags.

I think it made me laugh around 7 minutes in when one kid drops his friend in it in the principal's office and then says "how rude".

Jack And Jill is easy to reach. Sandler has an entire stack of his own just behind the Coen brothers.

Jack And Jill is a hilarious film btw. Very underrated.
