Yo, so I'm on a bit of a Japanese wrestling kick at the moment, but I'm having difficulty finding anything online outside of NJPW. Anyone know of any places to see other stuff too? Also, any recommendations of matches/shows/promotions/etc that are noteworthy would be greatly appreciated.

Only watch very little Japanese wrestling but older/classic AJPW is supposedly pretty great overall. Before NJPW's recent renaissance and their own struggles, that was the major company in Japan sort of like how the WWE is here in the US I believe.

NOAH is another big promotion and where you can find a lot of KENTA/Itami matches but in recent years they've been struggling as a company. They pretty much have been semi-under NJPW's umbrella the past couple of years and where Minoru Suzuki went when he left NJPW for a bit.

This place is pretty good as far as news and results go. Might be able to Google some of the recommended matches to see if anything pops up.

Id imagine a Styles Nakamura match in WWE would be 10x better than WK 10.

I don't. Seems like there's much more freedom in NJPW in how their matches are structured. They also hit a lot harder. Not to say those two wouldn't tear the house down in any promotion.

But they're unlikely to get the benefit of the doubt and go full bore in wwe.

A WWE match would be good but for all the reasons Damian Rey pointed out it wouldn't match up. Had a good story behind it as well on top of both of them leaving for WWE. Was a great match and I hope they wrestle in WWE.

They will be showing Wrestle Kingdom 11 like a week after it happens over a 4 week period. Will air backwards with the main event first though. I think they are working on airing shows a week after they happen in Japan.

I am absolutely enamored with NJPW right now. God bless AXS tv. Think my current guys are Okada, who just oozes superstar, and Shibata. Guy's a beast. Also, Tanahashi is a fucking stud as well.

But yeah, overall their product is wonderful. Enjoyed everything I've seen and an excited about the super quick turnaround on getting Wrestle Kingdom on tv.

The wrestling is just so much more intense and they do a great job booking long term. I haven't minded the 10 month delay but it would be cool if they got shows on a shorter delay.

Really liked Niato's progression this year and think him and Tanahashi will have a great match at Wrestle Kingdom. Shibata and Goto should be killer as well. Whole are looks pretty good really.

Just saw the match where Okada dropped the belt to Naito. Which was great. Next episode had Naito defending against Ishii, who's a great hand.

And yes the wrestling is much more intense. They hit harder, the sequencing is crisp and everything just pops. Its a great alternative.

I wish they offered New Japan world in English. I'd be all over it.

Styles doesn't have the WWE title although doesn't guarantee he's dropping the belt though since it could have been left off just for design reasons.

Shibata has mentioned the possibility of retiring the NEVER Openweight Championship but I hope they don't. Having it kind of legitimizes the NEVER 6 man titles and I don't really see them droping them after only a year or leave them as standalone NEVER branded titles.

I can see them working towards Orton vs. Bray, but I'd much rather see The Family stick together at this point. Orton's persona works well with a group behind him to basically seal off the ring and let him have his way with whoever he wants.
