Kevin Faulk killed the Patriots tonight

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-06-2006 12:31 AM

Way to blow the fuckin game Faulk, not only did you drop a TD you also go and tip a ball straight into Cato June's hands to win the game

ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDIN ME

RP 11-06-2006 12:39 AM

BOB F'ing Sanders!

RP 11-06-2006 12:40 AM

WHERE'S YOUR TOM BRADY NOW!!!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-06-2006 12:44 AM

Bob Sanders is a fucking beast I'll give you that

2 of Brady's INTs where bullshit though, tipped balls right into a defender's hands :-\

Oh well, atleast Vinateri missed 2 FGs

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-06-2006 12:45 AM

5 turnovers againest the Colts and only losing by a TD, I'll take that as well.

RP 11-06-2006 12:46 AM

Nah, i agree, Brady got screwed by Faulk, but man, pretty tasteless imo by New England booing Vinateri for " leaving for the better contract " as Madden and Michaels put it. Tasteless cause the Patriots had so much room under the cap and refused to give him a couple more 100k's.

A loss is a loss.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-06-2006 12:51 AM

Yeah a win in November is a win in November

Just saying, its not like last year when they got housed.

Dude this Boston, did you really think they where going to cheer him while he was on the Colts? It was like the Johnny Damon thing, if Vinateri went to like the Vikings or something he would have been getting cheers. He didn't though, so he is getting boo'd. I am sure he can take it, he makes 3 million to kick a football.

Crimson 11-06-2006 01:01 AM

lmao

RP 11-06-2006 01:06 AM

It's nothing like the Johnny Damon issue. Damon said he wouldnt leave for more money and he did, to Bostons biggest rival. Adam just wanted a few more hundred thousands, cause he's worth it and the Patriots were like 13 million or more under the cap. And they refused. After all he's done for that team. Tom Brady would have 2 less rings if it werent for tha guy. He's not worth 200,000 more? Give me a break. And lets not try to spin this as " He's lost his touch " or " He's no longer clutch " cause he missed 2 field goals tonight. I dont need to refer any further back then last week when he kicked on down the middle to beat the Broncos. I get booing him, but if i was a New England fan, i'd show some respect.

DrA 11-06-2006 01:22 AM

I think this is the year the Colts make it to the Super Bowl. Really, I suppose a team like the Patriots or the Chargers could make it to the AFC championship game, but no other team in the AFC has a Super Bowl feel to them at this point.

While I agree I kinda wish the Patriots did just resign Vintiari, I think they felt different. Pretty sure he has already missed 2 games this season..hasn't he?

Also, it was more than a difference of $20,000 dollars, so I really don't know where you get your stats sometimes (probably outta your ass)

It was a small percentage of the salary cap though, so yeah I was pretty surprised when they didn't resign him but I've yet to see game where this choice has hurt them. It didn't even hurt the Patriots tonight while playing the Colts, since Vinatieri missed 2 kicks.

And it is like the Damon thing, people would still boo Damon even if he never said that thing about taking more money. This is Boston man, I don't know why are so shocked by this (especially from guy like you, I can't believe you are really talking about booing someone being tasteless)

I said 200,000 more and it was from NFL.com. But thanks for reading. Goodbye

Corndad 11-06-2006 01:40 AM

Freakin had Brady on my fantasy team.

4 TD's last week.... 4 ints this week. Damn man.

Oh and when you start complaining about QB situations try having Worthlisburger as your "Francise QB" that the Coach refused to bench regardless of how many terrible throws he makes.

I've never seen a team have so much offense and blow it so often in at like the 5 then I do this year with my Steelers.

Oh well, True fans stay on the wagon I suppose. Top 10 pick here we come baby!

Pretty sure its more than just a different of 200,000 too though, you have to take into account the signing bonus - the amount of money spread out over the years of the contract etc. Pretty sure it was something like 1 million more a year.

Still though, this move has yet to really hurt the Patriots so I dunno. I personally wouldn't have boo'd Vintieri if I was there but I'm not really surprised he did get boo'd. I don't see why this matters though, and I don't see how you can call it "tasteless"

BCWWF 11-06-2006 02:26 AM

I think it is a completely legitimate thing for Pats fans to boo him. It isn't the same exact thing as Damon, but it is very similar. The Pats of the last five or six years and the 2003-04 Red Sox have become cult teams, teams that will be remembered for generations. Johnny Damon was probably the most identifyable player on the Red Sox because of the hair and everything, and then he turned his back on this team and went to the biggest rivals for more money.

For Adam (can't spell last name), it was very similar. When you talk about the Patriots dynasty, there are really two names that stick out more than others: Tom Brady and Adam Vinatieri. There were a lot of other big players, but those two played a huge role in both Super Bowls, and forever would have been heros in New England. The fact of the matter is that kickers are replaceable. AV had some game winning kicks, but he is not the only kicker in the league who would have hit both of those, like the Miz always says, he just got the opportunity and converted it. The whole system of the Patriots is to not overpay players, and this guy is a fucking kicker. He can stay, be in this system, and be forever a hero in Boston. Instead, he goes to the Colts. Not neccessarily the Yankees, but fuck, they are about the biggest rivals the Patriots have. More than that, they are the Patriots bitch. So leaving the Pats for the Colts is almost sad, I look down on him for it. Like Stima said, if he went to just about any other team, even a team in the division, it wouldn't have been as stupid.

Basically, this was a really long winded explanation, but Vinatieri took more money. That is completely reasonable, a lot of players do it. He also went to a team that gives him a good chance of winning another Super Bowl. What makes it dumb are his reasons for leaving. Whenever an icon of a dynasty or really famous team leaves for more money, he will get booed.

RP 11-06-2006 05:06 AM

I'm pretty sure Roy Williams of the Lions, smokes a bag of really nice quality crack before he talks to the media after the games.

Broncos? Who beat both the Pats and the Steelers...and still get no respect.

Upsets happen. Your record has no indication as to how you're going to play in certain contexts or situations. Both Chicago and Atlanta are going to make the playoffs this year; all these games are are momentary lapses.

I have a hard time believing Atlanta will get into the playoffs.

CHIEFS

RP 11-06-2006 06:07 PM

I havent even said anything about that second TD catch Marvin Harrison had last night. Which words cant really describe how amazing it was.

I'm just used to it i guess.

Gonzo 11-06-2006 06:18 PM

K so the Pats Colts game was pretty titties. Can't believe the Pats were even in it after all those turnovers. The Troy Brown taunting call was BS, but that catch by Harrison was SICK.

RP 11-06-2006 06:37 PM

I dont think he taunted at all, but if you're a field ref and you see him throw the ball towards the LB who just ran him out, you probably call that everytime.

Colts are 30-3 in there last 33 regular season games. Fuck we need a superbowl.
