Bit surprised the Hogan video was that low for views. The Otis one probably could have done better had WWE let the whole date thing play out more before Ziggy showed up.

Mr. Nerfect 02-16-2020 12:26 AM

I haven't really been following the trends, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bray Wyatt is a ratings loser. That guy is lame as hell.

Emperor Smeat 02-16-2020 12:42 AM

Need to check to make sure but his segment usually do well and his segment last week with Goldberg was the highest of the show.

In terms of the bigger metric, he's been the company's highest merch seller for months now.

Emperor Smeat 02-19-2020 04:46 PM

This week's episode of RAW ended up being higher by around 100k compared to last week but also came close to hitting a sub 2-million number for the 3rd hour.

In terms of rankings, it took the #1, #2, and #4 spot. 90 Day Fiance took the #3 spot while blood rival Love & Hip Hop took the #5 spot.

AEW - 893k
NXT - 794k

Emperor Smeat 02-20-2020 06:47 PM

Seems the main reason for both increases was due to teenagers since that group went up the most for both shows. NXT did better with female teenagers and young adults while AEW did better with male teenagers and young adults.

Meltzer thinks the numbers probably would have been closer due to the Democratic debates hurting NXT's old demo the most despite that group went up and not down this week. Probably felt they would have been in the .40 range if it wasn't for the debates.

slik 02-22-2020 09:02 PM

It makes a legit case for him to beat The Fiend tbh

Mr. Nerfect 02-23-2020 12:05 AM

I’m totally in favor of that. Goldberg vs. Cena for the belt and Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns in a personal issue. Goldberg and Wyatt can win and Roman can turn heel coming out of it.

CNN Townhall only did 1.2 million viewers so they really had zero competition last night. Good news is they topped demos for the night. YT optics still down.

2nd hour going up is interesting considering it wasn't anything special and arguably the least interesting of the three hours.

Also probably didn't help last week was a somewhat dull show and this week was about the same. The build for the Saudi show has done more to hurt than help especially with it interrupting the build for the Chamber.

Emperor Smeat 02-26-2020 07:11 PM

Apparently last night's episode of WWE Backstage didn't crack the Top 150 for shows although Showbuzz Daily hinted there might have been an issue with their listing since something else was listed to have aired instead.

2nd time that has happened since Backstage's official launch in regards to not cracking the Top 150 and not because of a potential listing issue.

Results for last night's AEW and NXT episodes:

AEW got 865k viewers, #9 ranking, and a 0.30 in the key demo ranking.

NXT got 717k viewers, #17 ranking, and a 0.23 in the key demo ranking.

The biggest surprise was AEW actually beat NXT in the 50+ demo for the first time ever and NXT got hammered badly in the teenager & young adult female demos compared to last week where that was the key area of their viewership increase.

NXT's over-run number should be interesting when its revealed later since TNT and AEW countered it this week with the Countdown to AEW tv special.

Emperor Smeat 02-27-2020 04:58 PM

Apparently AEW had a double win of sorts over WWE last night.

Their Countdown special also beat last night's episode of Miz & Mrs. in terms of ranking and key demo rating but lost out on viewers by just 11k.

slik 02-27-2020 09:57 PM

AEW beating NXT for the first time in all demos is interesting.

Emperor Smeat 02-29-2020 01:15 PM

Friday's episode of SmackDown ended up being the highest of the year and third highest since the move to FOX.

8PM - 2,736,000
9PM - 2,697,000

Average - 2,717,000

Also took the #1 ranking for the key demographic rating although it only went up by 0.1 points compared to last week.

Cena helping improve ratings with his visit.

Mr. Nerfect 02-29-2020 06:20 PM

Goldberg exposing that there is a major disconnect between wrestling fans that will go to wrestling shows and try to get their collective views across, and people who want to follow this shit.

I don’t think anyone cares that Cena got SD a good number. Except WWE and Fox of course.

People have been whinging about Bray Wyatt being beaten by Goldberg. Oh, they care.

Oh, I thought you were talking about Cena getting SD a higher than usual rating.

Mr. Nerfect 03-01-2020 04:56 PM

Nah, I’m talking about the success of Goldberg and part-timers getting fans’ panties in a bunch.

According to an update from the Observer, AEW's weigh-in segment beat NXT's Bianca vs. Flair match in terms of head-to-head viewership for the main event. The over-run wasn't hurt by the Countdown special and instead was one of the largest ever at 225k.

What really hurt was after NXT ended, pretty much that entire over-run group switched back to the Countdown special and wrecked Miz & Mrs viewership as a result.

Emperor Smeat 03-03-2020 04:58 PM

RAW's go-home show for the Elimination Chamber ended up being higher compared to last week although the increase itself was somewhat tiny.

2.25 avg for RAW seems low in Mania season

SD will top that number this week for sure.

Emperor Smeat 03-03-2020 05:58 PM

Yeah. So far this year's Road to Mania had the 2nd lowest and 3rd lowest RAW for non-holiday or sports week and there is still a month left to go to add to that list.

Last year's Road to Mania felt better mainly because it had 2 very hot stories going on despite WWE's efforts to mess it up.

Emperor Smeat 03-04-2020 04:28 PM

Tuesday's episode of Backstage didn't rank in the Top 150 shows for the 2nd week in a row.

3rd time its happened this year and 2nd time a back-to-back non-ranking has happened in series history.

Lowest ranked show for the night did a 0.4 in the key demo meaning Backstage likely did less than that and potentially less than 104k viewers.

Emperor Smeat 03-05-2020 04:22 PM

Results for last night's AEW and NXT episodes:

AEW got 906k viewers

NXT got 718k viewers

Breakdowns and other details haven't been released yet but should be very soon.

Biggest takeaway just from the viewership was AEW got a nice post-ppv bump from Revolution while NXT's plans to load up their show with 2 cage matches didn't really pay off for them in the end.

Edit: AEW got a #5 ranking and 0.35 rating in the key demo while NXT got a #20 ranking and 0.23 rating in the key demo.

Apparently it drew 18k viewers and a new series low at least in regards to known numbers.

Even in terms of the key demo, it was a disaster at a 0.1 rating.

Mr. Nerfect 03-10-2020 05:30 PM

When did they do Extreme Rules?

Emperor Smeat 03-11-2020 05:39 PM

3rd week in a row Backstage didn't rank in the Top 150.

Likely means it did less than a 0.4 rating and less than 101k viewers as well since that was the lowest ranked for each.

Edit: According to PWI, last night's episode drew 35k viewers
