Playing Dragonball z - Legacy of goku 2 on my Retron 5

Currently on "Disc 3" of FF9 HD, just got the boat. Forgot how short the discs are on this game, I'm only at 25ish hours and I've had the game idling for a few of those. Alexandria looked like shit at the beginning of the game, the pre-rendered backdrops looked incredibly poor quality compared to the upscaled character models. Since then it looks pretty good though, dunno if I just adjusted to it or they actually put some work in after the opening sequence. Still :love: this.

beat resident Evil 4 which was really good

now playing The Last of us.. well, it's good, but I liked the gameplay of RE better, despite moving like a tank. I hardly play survival horror games so this is all I have to compare between.

Last of Us is an amazing game. I have yet to finish it (call of duty WW2 came out) but I am very interested in seeing how the story ends

Anyway, just finished Night in The Woods. Shit game. The thing with these "interactive story" games is that if the story is the draw, it needs to be good. This is really poorly written, plot threads that don't go anywhere, no resolution, shithead protagonists. Really got no satisfaction from it other than the Demon Tower mini game.

Got to use the flying Delorians in one setup mission. Fucking rad. Definitely saving for that.

Bought a Facility recently and it's a great Bond villain lair, complete with space laser.

Gonna try and get a cocaine operation going, as I hear there is a pretty good cash flow from that.

Finally got around to giving the Switch some focus. Been having a good go at Mario & Rabbids. Love everything about it, so much attention to detail has gone into everything it just puts a smile on my face to play.

Fuck Night in the Woods though still.

Im tempted to check out Mario & Rabbids DLC but Im just not sure how much value it will have

I haven't considered it because season passes are such a vague proposition, DK is coming with a new world so that's a start but all the previous DLC is a bit meh. If they add at least another world and character minimum, maybe some day I'll go and sit directly next to my modem and see if I can get my Switch to connect to the internet.

Uncharted 2 is pretty big improvement overall, yes.

Yeah 2 was a big improvement. 3 is pretty much on par with 2. 4 then steps it up again.

the doki doki literature club game is really great.. just masterfully written.. the concept of it being set in an afterschool literature club also greatly appeals and is hilarious to me

I wouldn't say one is meh. It doesn't live up to the sequels for sure. But when it first came out it was THE graphical showcase for consoles and was a really good game. 2 just topped it by such a huge amount that it's hard to remember part 1 so fondly.

Almost done with Secret of Mana remake. Just need to level up my magics to the final level as well as my weapons and I am set to take on the final dungeon.

If anyone is wondering....it is the exact, and I mean EXACT, same game. Down to the easy leveling spot for magic in the wind palace still being intact (I'm actually there right now to level my magics from 7 to 8). I'm pretty sure all the "exploits" are still there. Just has a new coat of paint, remastered soundtrack and voice overs.

Played one at launch and quite half way in. Found it very drull. Picked it back up once two had such hyped. Liked it more...probably due to my expectations being lower.

Also uncharted is way better with low difficulty. Games are blockbuster action flicks and you being in god mode helps that

I've been playing a bit of Horizon Zero Dawn, maybe half way in I'm guessing. Hunting robot animals is pretty incredible, as expected.

On the flip, Ashly Burch is a really shitty VA. It's not a game changer but I really don't care about Aloy as much as I probably should.

Yeah, the combat system in horizon is fucking fantastic. Love it so much.

I've had a couple of epic battles against herds of Tramplers and Shell Walkers. Got forced to fight the Stormbird at the end of my latest quest, with no healing items available. Killed me several times then I accidentally discovered a walkway under a bridge where I could snipe at him relatively safely. Took ages though and if he even got one shot on me I would have died. He kept going de-aggro so I had to occasionally pop up and get his attention, absolutely terrifying having him charge at me as I'm loosing my arrow and quickly jumping back into my hole.

Currently playing Far Cry 4, about 30% in, pretty fun, I really like the way shooting and running about feel, plus the colors are great.

Never been a huge fan of open world racing games. Find it annoying, having to constantly glance at the mini map to check for the next turn rather than just focus on the track.

Currently playing Cities:Skylines because I have a broken hand and it's the only thing I can play. :(

Um, who was the final boss for you? Because as far as I know you can't get the pacifist final boss and ending on the first run.

If youre asking if i had to beat flowery first yes. But from there you can just reload and get the true ending. You dont have to replay the game (and it was a shit judgement call to do that btw)

Still have some replay value in the genocide route though.

In fact I'd wager its even better having done nuetral and pacifist first.

Bought it as an impulse purchase on the Switch since it was cheap and had the sudden urge to play a shump game.

Restarting FF15. Originally stopped at the "dreaded" chapter 13, back when the game came out. Been enough changes, and I've forgotten enough about it where I decided to start over. Getting to play some of the boss fights over again is a plus anyway.

I really want them to finish the game before I play 15 again, so maybe I'll pick it up again in 2020+. Being optimistic there maybe. Curious to know if the patched in chapters get automatically inserted into a NG or they are strictly dealt with as bonus content.

If you're talking about the dlc character episodes, they are available to plah seperately from the title screen at any time.

Specifically the free ones they released via patch, there's a Gladio chapter that happens in chapter 13 that came out while I was still messing around in post game. They said there were more coming, didn't really keep up with it though.

I mean, like when you get to that part of the story where there's a gap, is the previously missing content filled in or does the main game just act as if it doesn't exist? I know it's probably just main menu access but it would be cool if they made the story "complete" eventually without dipping in and out.

I dunno about any free chapters, but Episode Gladios, Episode Ignis, and Episode Prompto were 4.99 each

Just looked it up and it's called Chapter XIII Verse 2, and apparently it does automatically slot into Chapter 13 but you get the option to skip it. Doesn't look like any other full chapters were added but they have inserted more cut scenes into Chapter XII.

Lost power for a few hours during the Nor'easter that came through on Friday. Dug out the 3DS and fired up Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the first time.

And now, I can't stop playing it. So, Secret of Mana is on the backburner for a short time.

Started Persona 4 Golden, can't stay away from this series. Seems more in line with 5 than 3 so that's good. I already know who the mysterious villain is due to the internet being the internet, but I've only beat one real boss and they've already thrown at least three other shady characters at me and I don't trust a single one of them. This is gonna be good.

No idea what to play after finishing AC: Origins. Maybe I'll go do some charity work.........nah.

I don't know why they put friendly fire for magic spells in FF15 when there is seemingly no way to use them without hitting your entire group as well. Even using Ignis' regroup skill doesnt work, as the monsters are right back on top of you by the time you can move freely again.

Fuck em I guess. Just gonna have to grin and bear my poison lightning spell or whatever.
