Black Widow 06-02-2020 04:09 PM

Anchorman 2.

Funny but 1st was definitely better

Lock Jaw 06-02-2020 07:24 PM

Never saw Anchorman 2.... I remember not caring for the first one, while everyone else was going crazy about it and saying it was hilarious..... I do feel like I should give it another shot, though, because I think when I watched it I was definitely "more pretentious" about my comedy

Seanny One Ball 06-03-2020 08:40 PM

Anchorman is a strong comedy, Anchorman 2 was pretty disappointing.

Milk was a bad choice

Seanny One Ball 06-03-2020 08:41 PM

Anchorman definitely had a big impact on pop culture. People used to quote Brick a lot.

Damian Rey 2.0 06-04-2020 12:09 AM

The second one was pretty good until the second half. It lost all its steam from the first half and just becomes ridiculously unfunny.

Bad News Gertner 06-04-2020 04:16 PM

They just repeated the same jokes from the first one and made all the characters extreme parodies of themselves.

Read about a website that has fuckloads of new movies on it in HD.
Watching "Good Boys" then "JoJo Rabbit". Also just saw all of Rick and Morty season 4.

Seanny One Ball 06-05-2020 08:29 PM

Good Boys is funny as hell.

Boy kissing a sex doll

Seanny One Ball 06-05-2020 08:39 PM

You been druggin your whole life?

Seanny One Ball 06-05-2020 08:42 PM

Dunno if I will be able to watch another comedy after this.
The laughs are too big, too regular.

They don't have Mom and Dad Save the World, so why are you even wasting my time?

Seanny One Ball 06-05-2020 08:46 PM

They have Joe Dirt 2

Seanny One Ball 06-05-2020 09:04 PM

Good Boys is a lot of fun, would definitely recommend and will likely watch again.

Damian Rey 2.0 06-05-2020 11:29 PM

Re watching Joker. On the first scene with his psych. Already feeling uncomfortable.

Lock Jaw 06-06-2020 12:20 AM

Good Boys - 8/10

Was entertaining. Slightly uncomfortable @ all the profanity by young children

Seanny One Ball 06-06-2020 08:14 AM

Did you not swear as a twelve year old?

Lock Jaw 06-06-2020 11:31 AM

I don't swear as a thirty-four year old.

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-06-2020 12:05 PM

Bollocks.

Lock Jaw 06-06-2020 12:14 PM

Yeah, I guess.... I say Damn/Dammit/Hell..... anything else seems superfluous and unnecessary....

Seanny One Ball 06-06-2020 12:50 PM

You and Bob Backlund

Destor 06-08-2020 12:04 AM

What do you call a penis and or a vagina @lockjaw

Lock Jaw 06-08-2020 12:55 AM

Wang-doodle and hoo-ha

Lock Jaw 06-08-2020 12:57 AM

Durante la Tormenta/Mirage (English title) - 8/10

Felt it could have been condensed and that one of the big reveals was painfully obvious from the get-go... but overall enjoyed it....

Lock Jaw 06-08-2020 08:33 PM

Still as good as I remember. Also, having seen it before, Arthur comes off far more calculating than I had remembered. Seeing him backstage waiting to be called out on set and rewatching himself on stage, you can see his gears turning.

JoJo Rabbit - 4/4

A compassionate, intelligent, beautiful film. Comedy for the right cause.
Taika Waititi is the best thing to happen to comedy in a long, long time. A genius.

Seanny One Ball 06-10-2020 12:05 PM

I was going to do a long review but it really is just a magical piece of film making from top to bottom.

I laughed my heart out, cried my eyes out and finished with a joyous melody.

Beautiful.

Seanny One Ball 06-10-2020 12:11 PM

Taika Waititi after a string of bangers is now in that horrible situation where he will be judged more harshly on his work if it doesn't cut the mustard.
It happened to Alexander Payne with "Downsizing" so hopefully Taika doesn't go daft and waste a premise here or there.

It has to be said he has gotten his money's worth from every topic he has handled so far. I think making a comedy out of the Hitler Youth might be his finest achievement in terms of sheer audacity.

I love the man. I would follow him wherever he chose to take his next movie.

Destor 06-10-2020 12:33 PM

I think his next work is going to be thor 4

Seanny One Ball 06-10-2020 01:05 PM

Oh yeah, sorry I got ahead of myself there.

I was already in for that one.

Destor 06-10-2020 01:26 PM

But yeah jojo was top shelf

Seanny One Ball 06-10-2020 01:38 PM

It made me laugh a lot, built me up very well and took me off guard for the cry.

I remember watching "Leave No Trace" and thinking "Thomasin Mckenzie is a great actor" now I am glad she's a great actor who picks the right parts.
Sam Rockwell was the one that made me cry, he was his usual brilliant self. Pure talent for any genre, a gift for any actor sharing a scene because he will let others work. I bet Sam Rockwell is the best actor to work with on set. I can't imagine him being a dick at all.

The kid was great too btw.i hope Taika Waititi casts Ben Foster and Emile Hirsch someday.

Destor 06-11-2020 01:26 AM

Uncut Gems - 7/10

good acting but everything around it wasnt on par. Script is solid but not great. Casting was exceptional tho

Seanny One Ball 06-11-2020 02:57 AM

There was ugliness, but there was great momentum.

Destor 06-11-2020 03:07 AM

I think i had i just picked it up ln a whim id have liked it more. Likely a victim of being overhyped
