If you havent seen the remake its absolutely top tier

ran across it on YouTube and was hooked after the first episode and that video came up on a later search. I had no idea of the pedigree the creators of this series and now that I do I am struck by the similarities.

I purposefully stayed away from the Manga even when I thought Bleach would never come back, just on the hopes that one day it would. So glad I did. There were some super shocking returns in the new episode that wouldn't have hit the same way. Fucking love everything coming full circle.

I have read the bleach manga and I don't feel spoiled because of how incredibly dynamic the fights are and how much they're adding to what was in the manga.

There was a LOT added to the Yama vs Ywbach fight.

Also, holy shit at OG 13. That for sure wasn't in the manga.

Just sitting here flabbergasted by how good the Dragonball Superhero Movie was.

Nooooo I just learned that Bleach is being split into 4 cours and the last 2 eps of the first one just dropped. Booooooo. Booooo Wendy Testaburger boooooooo. This is like Attack on Titans final season that always has another part >_<

With streaming services revenue models splitting seasons its just "the way" and we're going to have to get used to it...sadly.

Is bleach splitting seasons across different services? I just figured that given the high quality of the animation and how long the arc is, that it would be too tall a task to do the whole thing in one go.

no I think its gonna be a 3 months on 3 months off type thing with crunchyroll/hulu (they are associated with each other). Hopefully on 3 off anyways because early rumors suggest itll be 6 months breaking between each set of 13 episodes.

Holy shit, yes. Villains were great, and actually had personality and motivations outside of "I'M JUST REALLY EVIL" like most db stuff.

Since new movies are canon I wonder how they're going to work Gohan and piccolo into the series since theres a whole other arc going on in the manga. Though I suppose thats on space and only involves goku and vegeta, so it can all fit together okay.

I imagine they'll incorporate the movies into the series the way they did the first 2 again when it comes back. Probably jump start it with the Broly movie, then they'll do the Moro arc. Maybe take a break then, not sure, and not sure if they put this movie before or after the Granolah arc.

I would hope it they'd beeak it up so it's not just the Goku and Vegeta show for 2 seasons.

so I decided to watch Cyberpunk Edgerunners since it won best of the year.

I dunno. Feels to bitsy or something. Needed like twice as many episodes so they could flesh out the characters a lot more and make me care about them. Seems like a good show that wasted the potential to be great.

Yeah, I think it got so much hype because there weren't any great expectations going in. You're right that it needed more time. I still enjoyed it overall though.

Reading Chi no Wadachi. Proof positive that the most gory and brutal of violent manga can't begin to compare to how disturbing psychological horror can be.

Probably gonna explore a subscription to Funimation/Crunchyroll. WatchCartoonOnline pulled the plug on free streaming and went to a registration based system. It was a good site, even if you needed a few layers of antivirus software on your device.

The funimatiom app is considerably better but support for it will be ending soon so you might as well migrate to crunchy roll. At least then you wont know what youre missing

Yeah Ive pretty much migrated to crunchyroll but f me do I miss the layout of funimation. So much more intuitive imo. Hoping they make some changes to crunchy to bring it closer in form and function to funi eventually.

It's still crazy to me to have born witness to Crunchyroll's evolution from pirate site to pretty much "the" legitimate streaming service. It would be kinda like if Redbox started with some dude in your neighborhood selling bootleg movies out of his shitty red box van to having a fully licenced and endorsed vending machine at nearly every drugstore, gas station, and mid-tier restaurant across the continental US inside of two decades.

....but that's exactly how Redbox got started.
