Lol, this show can’t even get aired in Canada. Rip AEW.

Mr. Nerfect 04-09-2022 07:00 PM

AEW don’t even have a TV deal in Australia because NO ONE GIVES A FUCK.

Mr. Nerfect 04-09-2022 07:02 PM

This content is objectively bad television.

Correct. No one gives a fuck about Australia. Noid has made his first smart observation in months. Celebrate!

Yuta vs Mosby was bad. They were trying too hard. Nobody will remember it in a month. He's not the second coming of Sean Waltman.

Mr. Nerfect 04-11-2022 03:44 AM

Moxley is on his way out of the company, so they are letting him work with who he wants to work with.

puroresu fan 04-11-2022 03:50 AM

He knows his ceiling in these dumpster fire promotions. His wrestlemania kickoff match vs Corbin had more prestige than all the stupid world title belts he's collected.

Mr. Nerfect 04-11-2022 05:13 AM

He’s probably thinking more about his health, putting away for his daughter and creating opportunities for his wife, to be honest. The garbage wrestling is off-putting and diminishes him. Distancing himself from it may not be the worst thing for his star power in wrestling.

He didn't learn after the horrible exploding barbwire match. That match exposed AEW as a third rate wrestling promotion that it truly is. Problem is that Moxley fetishizes this style of wrestling.

Given the story they are telling with Yuta, I think it was warranted. But because they go to the well so often with blood and no dq stuff, it lacked the impact it could have had.

Yeah I watched the match and I really appreciated what they were going for, similar to you. Yet--because Yuta is sort of a dork and bleeding isn't all that special anymore, it lost some of the weight it needed. Also, I wish Mox was more cerebral and erratic like loose-cannon Pillman instead of trying to be a hardcore version of Bruiser Brody or Stan Hansen. Dude has charisma and presence but something about his performances and presentation doesn't feel like it clicks.

Fignuts 04-11-2022 11:14 AM

He definitely should have picked up up a few wins (on television, not youtube) before this whole thing started as well.

Mr. Nerfect 04-11-2022 11:45 AM

Yuta is someone I don’t feel qualified to comment on, because he falls into a dark spot of being so deep in the chasm of AEW irrelevancy for me. But that is a point: This product has disengaged even my nerdy and obsessive brain that I’ve got no idea if Yuta is really good or not. And he’s attached to two of my favorite wrestlers ever (Regal and Bryan). That’s a problem.

Sorry. It did not live up to the hype and the execution was lackluster.
