I'm guessing that the woman in between Karl and Jessica over on the right is supposed to be playing Kitana? Looks the part, although they really should've shown commitment by casting a real 10,000 year-old Edenian...or AJ Lee.
Looking at the cast list, Sub-Zero is apparently going to be back as Noob Saibot. OK, that's fine I suppose, as returning as an undead spectre thing explains his presence...of course, this does nothing to help explain his 400 year lifespan in the previous movie, but, hey, we got Kano doing the eye laser and Kung Lao is actually a character and throws his hat, so it's perfectly fine. |

Im pretty excited for this game, but i always play the mortal kombat games to completion.
I played the stress test. The graphics are great, but it is waaaay different than playing MK11. I really got good at MK11, and the button configuration for amplifying specials, and the fact that its now the same as the block button as well as needing to amplify it as you throw the special gave me a bunch of hiccups while playing. The kameo system was decent, but there is so much anticipation when trying to incorporate them, that they almost never hit when i wanted them to and usually just ate hits so my main didnt. The gameplay was super fast in some aspects and slow in others. I noticed that crouching and poking at the opponent had very slow recovery, but anything in the air is split second on reaction. To follow up a launcher with an air combo, you pretty much need to be jumping before the launcher hits. Just growing pains to get used to as I am so used to MK11 mechanics that are almost opposite. |

It'll be finding that Kameo and main combo that'll be interesting. That was non existent in the few rosters given to us in the stress tests. |

For those interested, the game won't support cross-play at launch but it is something being planned as a post-launch update for it at some point in the future.

Really, though, there are some great callbacks to moments in previous games if you keep your eyes peeled. Although, whoever made the decision to cast Megan Fox needs to be fired.

Not 100 % but pretty sure Anthony Starr isn't voicing Homelander in the game. Paused it on the voice credits and he isn't listed but both John Cena and J.K Simmons are.

Finished the story. Pretty good, all told. Whole thing is definitely a love letter to the ps2 era games. Final act is a lot of fun.
Only one real sore spot SPOILER: show Just started getting into invasion and I can tell I'm going to spend a lot of time in it. All those seasonal skins look sick. |

Also is there no dialogue between characters at the beginning of a match or is that either something that has to be unlocked or will be patched in upon actual release? |

I feel that gameplay wise, this game is a step up. However the more I play, the more I feel its lacking in a lot of ways, compared to mk 11.

I do have to give the game credit for there being more to certain characters than was previously given to them in earlier entries. Tanya is probably the best example as she's finally more than just "I LIKE BETRAYING PEOPLE!!!"

Unlocked mk 3 sonya and a cool looking "dark geras" skin from the shrine. Neither of which is in the character mastery, in any variation. I've also seen people getting the dark sindel skin on the store front, though only one color.
So it seems all the really cool skins are in the shrine. You just have to sift through all the concept art which is a drag. I want cool skins but all I'm getting is art of npc #1,236's left testicle. |

Invasion is definitely fun the first time around, but it lacks the replay value of towers of time. Given how much of a grind mastery can be, it's rough for people who play this primarily for single player content.
