FACT: That will not happen.

Settle down, Cornette.

Thought it was a good show this week. The stuff with Elsworth was harmless (apart from the potential for broken neck).

I was hoping we'd have something move off in a different direction but it looks like we're still rolling with Styles/Ambrose, Ziggler/Miz, Orton/Wyatt, guess they only really need TV feuds going into Survivor Series though.

The CyNick 10-12-2016 03:19 PM

I would suspect all those programs are going through December. Styles v Ambrose in a TLC match seems like a logical conclusion to their program.

Miz vs Ziggler in a ladder match seems logical as well.

All those programs can be paused because Survivor Series will be mostly RAW v SDL matches. Put their differences aside for the sake of the brand winning.

Big Vic 10-12-2016 03:52 PM

Thats 3 matches plus Lesnar/Goldberg. I would guess we would get AJ vs Orton at TLC.

screech 10-12-2016 03:54 PM

Man, I do not give a shit about this James Ellsworth guy.

Depends how they are treating Survivor Series. My guess is the top guys on SD are in the elimination match. If they don't, then yeah you can blowoff Orton v Wyatt and Ambrose v Styles at Survivor Series. But if you have those guys in separate matches, then who is left to rep SD?

My guess is possibly Orton v Wyatt happens at SS, which leaves Styles, Ziggler, Miz, Ambrose and maybe Corbin in the elimination match.

Miz, Ziggler, Corbin, Kane, and Apollo Cruise vs. Sami Zayn, Neville, Chris Jericho, Braun Strowman, and Titus O'Neil.

Heath Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha, Usos, Hype Bros, and Ascension vs. New Day, Enzo & Cass, Gallows & Anderson, Golden Truth, and Cesaro & Sheamus.

Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, and Natalya vs. Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley, Dana Brooke, and Nia Jax.

Wouldn't be surprised if their likely one-time appearance got quietly pushed into a full time deal since Smackdown could use another tag team to beef up the division.

Need to keep the gimmick though since they are at the right level of being obnoxious and annoying as a heel team.

Evil Vito 10-12-2016 06:58 PM

At minimum they're gonna be around for at least one more week I'd think. That segment sure made it look like a Ziggler/Slater/Rhyno vs. Miz/Kenny/Mikey match was in the offing.

Smackdown ended up getting a small but good post-ppv bump this week compared to last week. Not enough to come close or beat RAW though.

Isn't that the whole point of why we're supposed to be behind the guy?

screech 10-13-2016 08:20 AM

Maybe, but that doesn't make me root for him. Someone in another thread said WWE is bringing back (or trying to bring back) jobber roles. I have no problem with that, but this feels really forced.

screech 10-13-2016 08:22 AM

Good on him for getting more TV time, though. People like him and he's getting a [probably] decent check. I'm just not into him like a lot of fans are.

Rammsteinmad 10-13-2016 11:15 AM

Totally fair enough.

I'm enjoying it. Not a "fan" of his as such. But the idea of this jobber (with no chin) becoming known simply because he's a jobber is hilarious.

Don't worry, it'll wear off soon, I'm sure.

.

Not exactly "best on best"

My guess is Styles, Ambrose, Miz, Ziggler and a mystery man (Samoa Joe) vs Owens, Jericho, Rollins, Reigns and Rusev

That leaves Golberg vs Lesnar on RAW, Wyatt vs Orton for SDL, a CW title match and some other filler like Curt Hawkins to round out the show.

Lock Jaw 10-13-2016 07:27 PM

I figure that the "best" will actually be saved for their own stories, while the teams just end up a hodgepodge of mid-card people.....

Styles vs. Ambrose
Owens vs. Reigns
Rollins vs. Rusev

Probably gonna happen

But also, probably I am way off
