How do you save replays?

It's most likely gonna come down to me and Khuntry, I'm talking 95% barring some jarring upsets. Not taking a round or even a match - but taking an entire series from me or Khuntry in a tourny structure is a far cry for most of you. In an Endless Battle match, upsets are more likely and the game keeps moving at a 2/3 round setting.
Ken is my worst character and the last big Endless we had he was sweeping most of you. Say Drakul's gdlk 'Gief powers past my Ken, who does he has to match up my Vega? Sakura? Cammy? Most of the series would be going through the motions. ...Whereas Endless Battles provide much more back and forth games where everybody gets to show off what they got in a timely manner. I'm not talking trash, I just want it interesting. |

Kalyx, its obvious who the final four are going to come down. The fun is for the "other" guys who are in the muddied middle trying to get a shot at us.
The best March Madness games is when Montana State beats Duke and the country roots for them to win the whole thing knowing it won't happen but MIGHT. Hell, Butler almost took it this year. The point is, Duke still has to show up to win. They'll most likely make it to the semis to play another powerhouse like North Carolina. Those games are fun too though, because both teams display their strengths. You have to be Duke. You have to show up. People will root against early on because they love the underdog, but if all goes well you'll be in the finals with other powerhouses. |

Gen is pretty easy to get around, except with T Hawk. But then all I ever seem to see online are Ryus and Akumas. Shotos are worthless against him now.

I had the same utra problem a few days ago in EB. Couldn't even remember most ultras and when I did, I just couldn't do them. Even had trouble with some basic moves like Tiger Shot and stuff.

If I'm not playing Transformers or Red Dead when I return to Miami today, I'll be hosting EBs for the byes only. Not competitive, gonna train up my stable in an online environment with emphasis on Vega and Sakura - with some reaction training for my Cammy thrown in. Mostly a workshop deal, I guess.

Anybody else thinks having to use certain characters for a finite number of uses... limiting? Not trying to rock the boat so late in the game but once you really think about it hurts some players. People should bring who they want for how long they want. "imo"

Also; WfC > GoW by a fuckin margin. More strategy in a WfC team deathmatch than I remember in all my playtime in Gears. I'm not saying this as a Transfan - the game is fucking good.

You can't be considered the best in Call of Duty by only playing cage matches with RPGs. You can't be considered the best Rock Bander by only mastering one song. You can't be considered the best racer by only racing with PT Cruisers.
You can't be considered the best Street Fighter by only mastering 1 character. There are 35. I'm only asking you to master 5. |

How did that 'across the board' proficiency work when we had those TBs and it's best to choose your mains for your team? Rather have a bitchin Alva/Abel than an Alva of all trades. There's nothing limiting about being awesome with one character.
Anyway; in future tournies you should make it best out of ten, no character limit, 3/5 rounds, all streamed on Justin.tv with me commentating. Dammit. |
Team battles require a team effort (obv) and its much different than...I'm not going to bother. I'm sure you get it tho.

Okay: watching replay and posting results:
Match 1: Abel v. Ken - Came out strong as Abel, actually taking a big lead health wise before Ant began to work his magic and beat me the first round, and taking any momentum i had away. I avoid the sweep of the match but ultimately Ant puts in work. Ant wins by score of 3-1 (Ant-1 Alva-0) Match 2: Sagat v. Cammy - Pretty much stuffed Cammy's offense the entire match, keeping her at a distance while playing more 'defensive minded' Alvarado wins by score of 3-0 (Ant-1 Alva-1) Match 3: Cody v. Juri - Really good fight but some big lag kicked in. At one point in time the lag stopped but my guy was still idle for a solid 3 seconds (Ant backed away because he's a standup guy). Had a scare in the second round where i barely won by throwing a rock. Ant worked me in the first match with Ken definitively, and i'd say this was my redemption win. Alvarado wins by score of 3-0 (Ant-1 Alva-2) Match 4: Bison v. Ken - Good match. Went back and fourth the majority of the time, with close victories and wide margins both being had. In the end i was able to keep Ant guessing enough to make the right calls offensively. Alvarado wins by score of 3-1 (Ant-1 Alva-3) Match 5: Sagat v. Cammy - Okay here is where it gets sticky. The match was almost over with me about to take a W when it lagged out and took us back to the lobby. Me and Ant agree'd on calling that one a match and starting over with the same character. I know its best of nine, which means i had to win five, but seeing as how we were in agreement, we went ahead and used the same characters again. Alvarado wins by score of 3-0 (lagged out) (Ant-1 Alva-4) Match 6: Sagat v. Cammy (rematch) - Close ass game, with me taking the first two rounds then Ant battling back the next two. Though techinically we used Saga/Cammy 3 times against each other, like i said, we agree'd it was cool in order to settle the score. If this is a big deal and im DQ'd so be it. Alvarado wins by score of 3-2 (Ant-1 Alva-5) Alvarado takes series 5-1 |
