As of around Thanksgiving, The Rock was no longer part of WWE's plans for WrestleMania 31. Rock is said to have a very busy movie and television schedule and the speculation is that his schedule will be too hectic for him to be factored into WrestleMania in any real capacity.

There was talk at one point of doing The Rock vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 31, however WWE is apparently going with the idea now that HHH will be working with Sting.

One of our correspondents at last night's WWE Tribute to the Troops and SmackDown tapings in Columbia, Georgia noted that the arena was packed with soldiers for the first few hours but a lot of them left before SmackDown was half-way over. Before the main event began, the arena was described as "sad and empty" by our correspondent. It was also noted during the tapings that the crowd was quiet for most of SmackDown. Our correspondent added that the Troops Tribute came off a lot better than SmackDown.
Didn't help that yesterday was also around 4 hours worth of taping.

"We want to do deal with them," said Discovery chief executive David Zaslav said at the UBS investor conference. "They want to do deal with us. It's a question of value."

WWE producer Michael "PS" Hayes tweeted the following about some saying WWE rigged the Slammy Awards voting and had Roman Reigns win Superstar of the Year: @MichaelPSHayes1 "I love how some people think the Roman win was rigged, guess we rigged the Jericho win too, just to have a real awkward moment, votes r real"
Speculation revolves around how the app vote was designed that could have lead to an Ambrose vote being added to Cena's tally and Bryan to Reugn's tally. No other voting category had the same design "flaw."

It could have been hidden better in the coding, where a vote for Bryan could have registered a vote for Bryan and 2 or 3 votes for Reigns. Likewise with Ambrose and Cena.

Lol Salvatore wasn't that bad. He was just oddly shaped. I don't know how else to put it.

Bad News Gertner 12-10-2014 09:39 PM

Prior to Heenan and Gorilla hosting PTW it used to be Jesse Ventura and Jack Renoylds. Possibly the worst show ever produced. They would show matches from the Philly Spectrum sometimes and for whatever reason Gorilla would do Play by play with a guy named Dick Graham who sounded like a cross between Gomer Pyle and Ric Flair. He'd yell "woooo" every time he'd get excited, which seems funny at first, but not after 1000 times a match. He'd also break kayfabe during matches and talk over Gorilla constantly. I have the entire Prime Time Wrestling season from 1985 and thank GOD they replaced Renoylds and Ventura with Heenan and Monsoon.

If the hit boxes are the same size wouldn't that split the votes between them? people voting for Roman might accidentally vote for the DB.

Depends how it is coded.

It could have been coded for a 2:1 ratio between Reigns:Cena which would result in Reigns winning regardless of Cena votes. Same with the other jacked up box.

The same result could have occurred with x amount of individual "hit boxes" but with the same programming behind said objects.

If it was indeed rigged in that way, the programmer did a shit job of fixing the visual portion of the table and therefore inadvertently exposing the "rigging".

Time for some disappointing or not dirtsheets:

Quote:

WWE had planned for NXT Women's Champion Charlotte and Natalya to face off in a singles match on Monday's Slammy Awards RAW but then changed it to a tag team match, then finally deciding on going with the singles match. Due to the awards, they were running low on time and the decision was made for them to do a quick singles match.

It was a Vince McMahon decision for Charlotte to lose and there was a feeling that if Triple H had his way, Charlotte would have went over. In the tag match, Charlotte was the one who would have scored the pinfall for her team. When it was changed to a singles match, Natalya reportedly asked to lose the match because she felt it was the right thing.

Vince decided against it and Triple H sort of defended the move, bringing up the timing issues and saying that in six months when they bring Charlotte in again, people won't remember this happened.
More details from the NXT showcase match from RAW.

Quote:

WWE announced today that Edge and Christian will be appearing on the final RAW of 2014.

That event takes place on December 29th at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Brock Lesnar Fan, Randy Orton and others are also advertised.
Quote:

While Randy Orton was scheduled to go right into a feud with Seth Rollins upon making his return, he will be returning as a babyface and feuding with Kane, at least on WWE live events. Orton is expected to make his return at WWE TLC, possibly during the John Cena vs. Rollins Tables Match
Quote:

Mike Tenay has reportedly agreed to his new one-year TNA deal that will see him stay on TV but no longer bet he lead announcer on Impact Wrestling. As noted, Josh Mathews will be replacing him.

Jim Ross recently contacted TNA's John Gaburick and possibly Dixie Carter to pitch the idea of Tenay calling the big New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome event, that is co-branded with Jeff Jarrett' global Force Wrestling. Ross pitched that TNA would be plugged during the show in exchange for allowing Tenay to work but the idea was turned down.
Quote:

At this time, the ratings for the Lucha Underground are not improving as much as the El Rey Network would have hoped. Considering how expensive the show is to produce, this could become a problem for the health of the company.

Each taping is said to cost “hundreds of thousands” of dollars, rumored to be anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000. But with the numbers for the show so low, the national TV ads that run during the show are being sold dirt-cheap. Word is that the rate is $150-$300 for a 30 second spot. No, there are no zeros missing there.
Some real concern right now that El Rey might pull the plug for Lucha Underground soon since its not worth the costs and already have pulled at least one other original programing series for similar reasons.

Quote:

There is apparently a feeling within WWE that pushing Roman Reigns to win the WWE world heavyweight championship from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 is the right call and that was enforced by his winning the "Superstar of the Year" Slammy Award despite not being on television for months now. The fan voting, as indicated previously, was legitimate and Reigns beat out both John Cena and Dean Ambrose.

In other sheet news, John Cena was name co-winner of The Onion's Person of the Year award (Malala Yousafza was the other). Was said to be a tough decision between Cena's wrestling and Make-A-Wish accolades versus Yousafza push for equality and social reforms.

this guy has one helluva cool belt collection.

apparently he had in his collection the original WWWF World Title that was held by Buddy Rogers and Bruno Sammartino. WWE now has it back in their collection.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2014/12/1...belt-he-wanted

https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/uploads/cho...ng_belts.0.jpg

And it’s great for Lambert, too. Not only because of the novelty of having a belt in Coconut Creek, but because he’s long been a belt enthusiast. Lambert’s hobby is to collect old pro wrestling belts. He’s been doing it for nearly 20 years, long before he flirted with the idea of purchasing the UFC. He calls himself a "wrestling mark," because he’s long been into the lore of the competitors and organizations.

"I just started collecting the old ring-used belts when I started up," he says. "I saw one on eBay that one of the old wrestlers was selling, and then I met a bunch of guys that are actually like belt hunters…it’s like their passion to find these old belts. And they've got the networks and all the old guys and promoters, and every now and then one becomes available. I just started. Got one here, got one there, and last time I counted I've got about 90."

Of those he says his favorite was the original WWWF belt, when they first started and brought in Buddy Rogers to fight Bruno Sanmartino to create the championship.

"That was probably my best belt, but when WWE decided to do their brick-and-mortar Hall of Fame they wanted the belt so bad for their HOF," he says. "And the guy that got it for me, he makes their belts. So they were like, hey, we really need this belt. So I gave it to them and they gave me a couple of other belts in return.

"That was probably my best belt, but dude, I've got the Georgia heavyweight title, which was the same belt they used for 15 years. I've got the World Class Wrestling, the Von Erich’s belt, I've got the old cowhide Southwest Wrestling Championship title, I've got the first belt Ric Flair ever had, the Mid-Atlantic belt. I've got belts from Florida, from the southwest, the Portland territory…from every territory, Memphis, every one you can imagine. I just love the old belts. I keep them sitting in my closet in my office, and every now and again I bring them out and play with them."
